JD gyms
I have been going to JD gyms for a while now, the atmosphere is lovely. As a beginner who was a nervous i feel confident when attending, everyone is so helpful. Recently the gym has added brand new equipment and it has been exciting to try all the new machines, definitely spoilt for choice. Credit to Kirsty not only is she my pt, she is the kindest soul, knows exactly how to challenge me further than my own belief, and her contribution and supportive nature is empowering me to be a better version of myself.

The staff & PTS are absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable who go above and beyond for their members and get to know them
Very well.
The atmosphere is so good, classes are so good, they’ve recently upgraded all the cable machines, added a whole section of booty builder equipment, and belted squat machine and a pendulum squat 💪🏼💪🏼.
Shauna is a huge credit to jd gyms Blackburn her work ethic is truly admirable she’s always positive, she is very knowledgeable and always willing to help anyone.

Fantastic gym
Fantastic gym with staff who are alway friendly and approachable.
The recent change around and new equipment has made such a difference to the gym and it look so much better. The new equipment is amazing and the staff are more than happy to show you how to use them correctly.
Shauna is a great asset to the gym she is friendly and always running around keeping the gym clean and today. She is always happy to offer advice and her knowledge of all health and fitness is outstanding.
I’ve been a member since it opened and love it

Overcrowded gyms
Overcrowded gyms, changing rooms in both JD gyms I go to absolute stink, not allowed to have your gym bag with you so can't carry your gym equipment around with you. Dumbbells don't go above 50kg, cables don't go above 32kg.

Music needs to be a mixture. Water fountain needs to be in changing rooms close to the sauna .

The gym and equipment is always filthy…
The gym and equipment is always filthy and dirty with no cleaning equipment around since covid, I take my own now.
Mostly Rude PTs who think they are important and hog all the gear to run classes on the gym floor during peak times. Was actually asked to move from a squat rack mid set for the class. Also training poor technique to the poor clients, only seen one guy there who is decent and nice (big bald tattooed guy)
Invest in the gear and make the women's gym less insulting with the teeny weights. And just have some cleaning stuff about

Thank you for your review. We ask that members leave their belongings in a locker and not leave large bags of things on the floor around the equipment.
This rule is in place to avoid trip hazards and as it keeps the gym tidier. We would at no point suggest that instead of carrying a bag, you empty the contents of a bag on the floor instead because that's clearly worse. The bag, plus the contents should be in a locker.
It's understandable that certain items may be essential to your workout, e.g. a drink or some chalk. These small items can be placed in the holders on the equipment, or a small, discreet container such as a drawstring bag Thanks.
