Indian embassy..can u get any worse service then this? No
Called regarding my passport and a transit in new dehli,was told to call another number..30 mins i wont get back,so i call next number,again redirected to a 3rd number,another 55mins i wont get back,so call the third number(remember they told me were to call) ,stand in que for 1hr 42 mins and then i explain ,get told to call another number,and guess what,its the 1st number i called,so i am just calling numbers in a circle and cant get help
Thank u so much Indian Embassy for nothing,,the best thing is indians belive in karma,,my company(yes my company) provides the indian embassy in an other country were i acctually live,with services that it crucial for them on a 24hr call,,will have a word with them when i get back

Such a waste of time! called at 14:30 when the support opened, got through 15:20 for them to hang up! called again was number 1 in queue for 2 hours, until 18:00. We checked online and they closed at 16:30!!!!

HORRIBLE AND ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING TO TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS.

One of the Worst Do Not Go Indian Embassy

We were visiting the High Commission of India to sign as witness for someone. We had to sign in at entry. The entry security staff appeared as external contract staff. Without any warning we were first rushed to lockup our mobile phones, car keys, smart wrist watches. Phone charges.
Then we had to pass our bags through security check machines. All the bags, including ladies handbags had to be stored in unlockable cupboards.
There was no prior notification about this and we were rushed by unfriendly security staff.
Shameful about Indian High Commission in Modi era!

I wish there was an option for zero star for the service the embassy provides. Utterly incompetent, disrespectful and entitled staff they have. They have no idea, no information, no knowledge and no intention to provide any help to the people. I have no words to describe how stupid and arrogant the staff is. You guys should not exist because you are not of help to anything!!! You're bringing shame to India! Idiots!!!!!

Wish there was an option for no stars at all! and really hope this helps improve the services. Least helpful, lack of information, confusing messages when you arrive, long waiting times, unhelpful lazy attitude, ridiculous wait when trying to call and then no scope of resolution.....the list is endless. Rather not exist!!

My experience with the Embassy of India in Copenhagen was highly positive. The staff were professional, supportive, and responsive, especially in cases of genuine urgency when the situation was explained clearly.

I applied for passport renewal on 19 November and received the renewed passport on 08 January, which was very efficient. The front office staff were particularly courteous and accommodating. Despite arriving later than the requested time due to travel from Jutland, I was assisted without any inconvenience.

I also observed staff going beyond standard procedures to guide another applicant who lacked complete documentation, demonstrating patience and empathy. Overall, the service was professional, efficient, and commendable.

I would suggest preparing all the necessary documents before visiting the Embassy. In case of urgency, it is advisable to reach out in advance and clearly explain the situation, as the staff make genuine efforts to provide the best possible solution.

SO MUCH WORSE than words can describe! What an arrogant and stupid place, totally incompetent and at the same time hostile staff. People who wants to visit India probably often runs away confronted with you. I waited for 2 hours on the phone today, just to be abruptly cut off! Before that, I went to your embassy the other day. A horror house, if you think in terms of service! Your are not even able to guide anyone, when they cvant navigate your old fashioned, lousy online service. And in spite of your extreme incompetence, you are so horrible. I was both told to go to the library and find a photographer. Idiots- do you really think a library could provide the service, that you guys are getting paid to do, but cant? I even paid a photographer, but it still doesnt work.
I have been at the embassy many, many times all of my life, and every time I and my family feels like crying because of the lack of friendliness and the level of incompetence we meet there.. so I will ask you - do you really think that you are a representative of India, that makes the country justice? In my opinion, you better close your embassy, as you cast a shame on India! Makes people think that this is all there is to this country. Sorry that I dont have anything nice to tell you, but because of you, I missed a wedding in. India a few years back, and I never got my OCI- as I gave up. I really think so low of your institution, as one possibly can think!

I am Indian, but I am really fed up with the Indian Embassy in Bradford. I went there for my PCC appointment and they checked all my documents. After that, they told me I need to fill out a manual form and come back again.
If there is an online system, why do we still need to complete manual forms? And if manual forms are required, then why not do everything manually instead of making people do both?
It was a very frustrating experience at the Indian Embassy in Bradford. I know this message may not affect anyone, but the service really needs improvement.
If the embassy cannot handle 10 appointments a day, they should reduce the number to 4 or hire more staff. It feels like they only want the fees but do not want to do the work properly.
My advice to anyone booking an appointment is to go at least one hour after your scheduled time. Otherwise, you may end up sitting there for 4 to 5 hours, only to be told to come back again.

Very irresponsible staff.They are handling people's important documents and are not even aware where they are.Very careless.Very bad appointment systems.No appointments available for next two months.Sending people back and forth several times for collection and submission of documents with out even providing proper appointment system.Very difficult to upload documents.All over making things too difficult to people.

Terrible! Service and place

I was not able to upload the passport size pic online so I came to embassy. They won't help with uploading the pic.. they were just helpless..

Worst embassy. Worst website. In this digital era you can not do anything online here. They don’t even reply. Most of the staff in Indian embassy in Birmingham have come from India but unfortunately they also brought that saddistic attitude as well with them. They just harass people on minutest error and ask you to reapply again. They don’t realise people have taken a day off and travelled from far away. On top of that they were open for only 2 hrs for OCI. They should realise employees in UK offices are very helpful unlike them. This is not India where they have sab chalta hai attitude. Appalling. Disgrace to the country.

Impossible to reach. When you finally get them to answer, they barely help or answer your question.
It's really disgraceful

I have been trying to get in touch with the Indian embassy for 2 days now. Yesterday I called at 15:30 and my number was 9 in the queue, I waited 1 hour in for my turn. Once I was 1st in line there was no response and I just cut the call after 20 mins. I don't understand if someone is actually speaking for that long? Today i put a reminder on my phone and called the embassy at exactly 14:30. I was first in line this time but then after 10 mins it seemed like someone answered the phone and disconnected the line so I would be thrown out of the queue. This is extremely frustrating. What is even more weird is that I called them back immediately after being thrown out of the queue and now I am number 9 again in the queue. It almost seems it's like a rigged telephone line to avoid incoming calls for the 2 hours that they are open. I had better expectations in Denmark from the Indian embassy. How are we supposed to get work done if they don't even respond?

Worst embassy services. You can't trust them for your work. It's better to go to India and get your job done. No sense of responsibility. They need to improve themselves.

You need to take a day off if you come here.
I visited to collect my document for attestation. I was asked to wait for document. After waiting for 2 hours, i was told document cannot be attested and was charged 85kr without attestation. They also told they cannot return fee.
There was long queue and its usual to wait for 2-3 hours here. So if you have laptop, better take it alongwith to work till you get your turn.
Some advice for people-
do not give them any money till the time you get your document or work done.
