Disappointing
I am staying in Portugal for 2 months and ordered some products from Ilpothacary on 12th May to use whilst I am here. They said they could deliver. I spent approx £120. The products have not arrived. I was informed by the tracking they were held in customs due to a discrepancy with the paperwork. I contacted the company to let them know but they did nothing to help. In the end I was so frustrated dealing with Ilpothacary and the Portuguese postal service I told them to send the shipment back. That was 2 weeks ago. Not only have I not received the refund but I also have received no response to my emails or a complaint I made through PayPal. The products may be quite nice but the customer service is appalling. I feel sure the refund will be issued through PayPal based on non delivery. Their business functions in a very crowded space where repeat business and customer loyalty is important, I’m not sure their level of customer service is enough to achieve and maintain that. I will not be purchasing from them again.

Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to read your comments, particularly as our team responded within 48 hours and issued a full refund for your order.
Tracking information indicated that the parcel was held with local customs pending recipient action, and it appears that collection arrangements were not completed. As is standard with international deliveries, customs handling and any required follow-up are typically the responsibility of the recipient.
We do appreciate you reaching out and are pleased to see your continued orders to UK addresses, which tend to offer a smoother delivery experience without customs involvement.
