I was impressed at how quickly an appointment was scheduled for my service. When the first appointment didnt work out be ause the first company had to cancel, Home Serve was able to get another company scheduled for the next day.

My husband called the next day and he gave the HomeServe the name of an electric company that we like and the company is one that Home Serve uses so that company came to our house and fixed the problem!!!

Making the appointment was a bit difficult. Our toilet was clogged and she asked if it was an indoor or outdoor problem. I said it was indoor. She asked me to tell her exactly what was wrong. I think she was inexperienced. The person who unclogged our toilet did a great job.

Authorization problems
I had a plumbing problem which took almost a month to get fixed. The reason it took so long was because they didn't know where the leak was so they would have to break some walls to find it. Each time a different plumber would come and they needed authorization from HomeServe each time to break a wall or move the toilet. HomeServe needs to expedite the process of authorization. It takes too long!
That being said they are otherwise a good company. The woman I dealt with most of the time was Tamika. She was very helpful. She would always call me with updates to let me know what was going on.
There needs to be better communication with the service providers and HomeServe to expedite the process of authorizations.

We were not notified that a plumber was going to call us. Assigned plumber called at 6am to tell us he would arrive at 11 but then never showed. When we called, they said he was busy and would not come until the next day. He knew we had a leak but arrived without the correct testing equipment. He said he would return but never did.
