Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Arvostelua 

I have been trying to set up a new plan with #BCBC and the system is so dated it will not allow you to do so without a plan number. I DO NOT HAVE A PLAN. I WANT A NEW ONE. This is one of the most unintuitive archaic enrollment sites I have seen in a long time. Gave up and chose another provider. #bluecrossblueshieldma you need to join the 21st century. Shame really

My experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield has been disappointing and, at times, felt deceptive. I followed the process, my provider submitted what was requested, and I was still denied coverage that I was included in my plan. The communication was poor, the decision felt unfair, and I no longer trust their published benefits at face value.

I'm a Tufts employee who went to Tufts Medical Center for a colposcopy following an irregular Pap smear and because my sister died of cancer at the age I am now. They want to charge me my full deductible because it was "diagnostic" and not "preventative." I had better insurance as a student in Florida and I paid a hell of a lot less for it. I am no longer comfortable seeking any kind of medical care.

Horrible!! They gave me TWO MONTHS NOTICE that they’re no longer covering my PRESCRIBED MEDICATION!! This doesn’t even give me time to come off of the medication in a healthy way!

Why do people in suits have the right to decide what’s best for my health!! This is disgraceful!!

Get out the baby oil, if you choose BCBS INSURANCE. They will pay your doctor and denied you surgery buy same doctor. Because they are all a bunch of Diddy don't give a care about you. So bend over and don't say you haven't been warned.

I had two claims get denied recently, and when I called in I was very impressed by how professional and knowledgeable both staff members were that I spoke with. One of them was named JB or JP, and he was very solutions oriented. He started the call saying “I’m going to walk you through why this happened and how we are going to fix it.” I have a lot of trust that they want the people they insure to be treated fairly and with respect. Very impressive interactions (and how often does anyone get to say that when it comes to insurance?)

I own a small insurance brokerage. And I obtained my first small business client in MA. I thought BCBS MA would be a great place to start since they have employees accross the USA. I set up my client with health insurance for their employees. Asked sales team about the commisions. And they provided a rate sheet. However, not once did they mention I would not get paid unless I enrolled 20 employees. But to be fair, it is in the fine print.

This is unlike any of the 50 carriers I work with. BCBS MA will recieve $50,000 in premiums on 5 people in 2023. And yet they won't pay a small broker $360 in commisions for the year. Thier actualries found a loop hole in state law to rip off small businesses. I will not renew the client with them. And I will tell the client specifically why this evil insurer is not to be trusted.
