Avoid Home Made at all costs
Avoid Home Made at all costs in the Manchester area. They provide misleading information, terrible communication, and zero customer care. I was messed me around with cancelled viewings, shown a 'showcase' flat instead of the advertised vacant ones, and promised photos/videos that never arrived. Their website listings are completely inaccurate with apartments that only show stock images and available now but this is not true or represented correctly.
To make matters worse, dealing with Tommaso over the phone was an absolute joke. He was incredibly rude, arrogant, and had zero empathy for a tenant trying to secure a home on a tight deadline. When I asked for a basic clause to protect myself since they wouldn't provide photos of the flat, he called it unreasonable and threatened to stop my application. They don't care about you; they just care about taking your money. Appalling business and Tommaso is probably one of the worst property agents I have ever spoken to, wouldn't let me speak, kept interrupting me and patronising.

We always aim to make this clear during the viewing, and we're sorry if this wasn't your understanding. We also continuously review our listings to ensure availability and imagery are as accurate as possible, particularly where developments contain multiple similar units.
We're particularly concerned by your comments regarding your conversation with Tommaso. Professional, respectful communication is something we expect from all of our colleagues, and your description of the call does not reflect the standard of service we aim to provide. Absolute nightmare—left stranded 8 days…
Absolute nightmare—left stranded 8 days before move-in due to their mistake
We paid a holding deposit in good faith for an apartment, only to be met with total radio silence for over two weeks from the Home-Made team. After endlessly chasing them down, we were casually informed that they had "double-booked" our apartment and it was given to someone else.
With our move-in date exactly 8 days away, we are now facing the very real prospect of being left entirely homeless. To make matters worse, they tried to upsell us on a more expensive unit to cover up their internal error. While their team claims they are trying to fix it, they have repeatedly missed their own "hard deadlines," left us hanging over the entire weekend, and are currently ignoring our urgent emails.
The level of disorganization, lack of accountability, and appalling communication is shocking. We are now being forced to threaten legal escalation and cancellation just to get a basic response. Avoid this company at all costs if you actually want a guaranteed place to live.

Very disappointing viewing experience.
😡😡😡 I had arranged a property viewing with this agency, but when I arrived, I found that another prospective tenant had been scheduled for the same viewing. The staff member conducting the viewing focused almost entirely on the other applicant, spending most of the time talking to them while largely ignoring us.
When showing us around the property, the staff member repeatedly walked ahead with the other tenant without waiting for us or ensuring that we could properly view the rooms and ask questions. As a result, we felt overlooked and received very little attention or assistance throughout the viewing.
I understand that agents may conduct group viewings, but all prospective tenants should be treated professionally and given equal attention. Unfortunately, the service we received was unprofessional and left a very poor impression. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience and would expect a much higher standard of customer service.

Any questions we had they answered with quick replies and great information. I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with these agents. They were extremely misleading and wasted a significant amount of my time.
I arranged to view a property, and after waiting outside for quite some time, I was informed that the property had already been taken. I do not understand why viewings are arranged if the property is no longer available.
They then offered me another property to view. After waiting again, I received a call the same day inviting me to view yet another property. However, when I arrived, I was told that the landlord had not left the keys and that the property might already be taken as well.
As a professional looking for a property, I expect a basic level of organisation and reliability. Instead, I experienced repeated inconvenience and poor communication.
This lack of professionalism will inevitably drive customers away. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency and would be concerned about renting through them due to their unreliability.

I’m extremely disappointed with the…
I’m extremely disappointed with the agents from this company. Their behaviour felt very fake and unprofessional.
I had appointments with two different agents. The first one gave us misleading pricing — a property that is still listed on the website for £1,270 was told to us as £1,570.
The second agent was also very disorganised. One time, they grouped me with another person who was looking for a three-bedroom property, while I was clearly looking for a one-bedroom flat. This wasted a lot of my time, as I had to sit through viewings that were not relevant to me before seeing anything suitable. I don’t mind group viewings, but only if everyone is looking for similar properties.
Another time, the same agent called me just 20 minutes before the viewing to say the property was already gone, even though it was still listed on the website.
Also, the photos on the website seem to be purely for marketing and don’t reflect the real condition of the flats. This caused me to waste both time and money travelling to view properties that looked completely different in reality.

He showed me around multiple properties and had an impressive understanding of the local area — from transport links and amenities to the different vibes of each neighbourhood. It really helped me get a clear picture of where would suit me best, rather than just the properties themselves.

Had a great experience viewing apartments at Angel Gardens
Antria was an agent that was very knowledgeable about the different apartmentd and was able to provide insight that most agents aren’t able to. She asks questions to figure out what options work best for you. It was nice for a change as we had been to so many different viewing which had been tiresome. We ended up finding a great place with Antria and can’t wait to move in.

Caitlin is an absolute asset. We had an excellent experience with her from start to finish. From the very first viewing, she was incredibly knowledgeable about the apartments, the building, and the overall process. She took the time to answer all of our questions clearly and honestly, and never made us feel rushed or unsure at any point.
What really stood out was her support after the viewing. Caitlin stayed in touch throughout the application process (even though her part of the process was done), guided us whenever we had questions, and was always approachable and reassuring. Her communication and professionalism made what can be a stressful process feel smooth and manageable. She went above and beyond her duties.
