I have to assemble / install my new upgrade kits. So i cannot comment on that yet.

Wrote a review back in April and it is now the end of June. I have still had no reply from Hilltopper on my problem with the Horizon kit I bought. I cannot get a human on the phone like their add says, and have not gotten a reply to the 3 e-mails that I have sent over the last three months. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these people. Took my money the day of the order and waited two months for the product that broke my bike.

Very easy to install and works great. Nice and smooth and helps take the hills so much easier.

When I was young I pretended my bike had a motor, like all the other buddies of mine..... now I pretend no more, and a fine flawless motor it is.... my friends silver motor(250 watts) has been going for 7-8 years now....
I was skeptical but when I saw and rode his, I ordered quickly and I have a gem of a e-bike from my ranger kit.... thanks for everything....

Super easy to place an order, shipped in a hurry….nice!

I purchased a 36v wheel from Hilltopper and right out if the packaging the wheel would not roll backwards. I gave it throttle, it spun half a rotation and abruptly stopped, breaking the housing on my forks. Now it won't spin at all. Hilltopper does not answer the phone, return calls or emails. They were quick to take my money, though. Now I'm stuck with a broken bike and expensive, worthless wheel.

I'm seventy years old this year and can no longer operate a two wheeled bike so I purchased a 24" three wheeler and installed a Sprinter kit. I am very happy with the experience and I look forward to rebuilding strength and balance while having a fun time outdoors.

I love the boost I get for riding up hills. I’m so happy I didn’t have to buy a whole new bike to enjoy the benefits of electric. It was basically easy to install although my bike did not accommodate the battery on the lower bar and I had to zip tie to the upper bar, but we got it done.

My shipment came in a timely manner and the kit has worked well since I installed it. I wrote an initial review and received a nice T-shirt rushed to me right after leaving the my review. Thanks Hilltopper!

The only hard part was that I had to file my front fork dropouts in order to fit the wider axle of my supplied wheel. I slowly and nervously filed this but everything worked out well in the end. I saw that others were experiencing similar issues.

Once everything was good to go, I certainly have been enjoying my new "turbo-boost" ability to conquer those previously tiresome hills. A game changer indeed.

Bought the 250w Sprinter kit to electrify my hybrid bike. Works perfect! I enjoy being able to throttle up an incline or to cruise on a hot day in Houston. I did 26 miles of on and off use in one day with no issues and some battery capacity remaining. The 700c tire they sent with the motor in the hub fit perfectly. I would buy the kit again.

I live in a very hilly state. After moving here from Texas where it is mostly flat, I thought I would have to give up biking. The hilltop of works really, really well. The battery lasts plenty for me when I go out for a ride. Oftentimes I can get two or three rides out of a battery charge.

I have only had it for a few months but I have not had any problems yet. I ride a long wheel base recumbent and I was very pleased to see that I was able to use this even on that type of bike. My front wheel is 20 in and that is the smallest size that is made and it worked very well.

Installation was very straightforward. It did take me a while to figure out where to mount the battery. Owning a recumbent however I have learned that I have to modify many things to get them to work on this type of bike.
My only regret is that the automatic sensor will only fit one way. It would be nice if the pickup could be swapped so that the magnetic disc could be monitored to the opposite side of the gears. This is the only thing that I would like to see changed.
Overall I am very satisfied with the Hilltopper. I would recommend it to anyone who lives either in a hilly area or likes to bike long distances and is worried about having enough energy to get back to their starting point.

My wife loves her upgraded hilltopper! So does our dog Blue!
Great product

We love our Hilltopper Sprinter motor assists. Being able to get up hills will help us complete the American Discovery Trail in West Virginia.

I was disappointed that the bike center found the battery cradle to be defective on my husband's Sprinter and that my husband wasn't able to use his our first week in West Virginia.

Staff were responsive and sent a replacement. However, the lag time between responses to emails and phone calls was frustrating. I had hoped they could overnight the part in time for our trip but instead didn't hear back until we were half through the trip. Hopefully they will be able to improve response time in the future.

This is our first time using the Hilltopper Electric bike conversion kit. We ordered two of them back in 2121 but because of all the issues with the supply chain we didn’t receive it till October of 2021. Since we are snowbirds we had to leave our summer home and we were unable to be there when the product arrived. It was in our garage till we got back to our summer home in May of 2022. Hilltopper assured us if we were not satisfied with there product once we assembled it even though we were out of the time frame of the return policy they would refund us our money back. Well, we just got them fully assembled this past weekend and they are beyond great. Just what we needed. We can still pedal if we want then throttle up the hills for added assistance. The video from Hilltopper was very helpful, we referenced the directions but used the video more. The first bike went a bit slower but the second bike assembled in about 20 minutes. There customer service was right on the money. Answered all our questions promptly. We highly recommend HILLTOPPER if you want to convert your bike to an electric bike. The product is great. I bike commute full-time in a very hilly area, and this ebike conversion kit has really enhanced the quality of my life. They get an A+ for their product. However, I had some difficulty installing the kit one my bike myself, had a very difficult time reaching them, their phone number didn't work, and they took forever to get back to me via email.

I was eventually pressed for time and needed an answer, so I had to call my local bike shop and send them photos, etc. to get help. It was a super simple fix. By the time Hilltopper Bikes responded, I already had everything resolved.

So it worked out, and Hilltopper was very nice to me and open about wanting to help when they did respond, but the delay cost me 3 weeks that I could have spent zooming around!

Product is great. customer "service" is terrible. Don't answer or return phone calls. Don't answer e-mails.

This booster is just what I needed. My old bike is perfectly serviceable and I don't use it enough to warrant spending big bucks on an e-bike. The Hilltopper works exactly as advertised and sure makes my biking experience more enjoyable (less time walking my bike up hills). We did have a little trouble installing it on my woman's bike with the lower cross bar. The battery just barely fit between the upper and lower bars and we had to attach it with hose clamps. But we made it fit and it is working fine.

This was the 2nd hilltopper we've purchased and it was even better than the first! The original one was bought during the dreaded lockdown and took quite a while to be delivered. This second one, however was delivered in less than 2 weeks! Understandable for sure. So very pleased with the product and happy to have 2 of the coolest bikes in town! We actually use them to tool around the campgrounds when we travel and get many admirers. Probably sent a couple dozen more clients your way!

My old charger stopped working, so after some troubleshooting to make sure it was really done, I ordered a new charger. Unfortunately, this turned out to be defective...after some emails back and forth, I got a new one to try, and it worked! Michael, the person I communicated with was very knowledgeable and helpful. One thing...I miss the days when you could pick up a phone and talk to someone in person...what took a week or so would have been accomplished right then. But I do love my Hilltopper set up! I have a bad knee, and makes a huge difference.
