Pre-approval process is easy. Everyone is super helpful and there for any questions and clarification you need. The online form is quick and simple to fill out. A hard credit check is not needed, which eased our worry of having our credit ran numerous times by lenders. Highly recommend adding this to your list of possible lenders.

Got a preapproval from tomo mortgage very quickly. The loan officers is very helpful, and they are very fast at answering your questions. After the first preapproval they are very fast to get other preapproval letters for houses that you are making offers on.

The experience with Tomo so far (obtained a pre-approval) has been quite positive. After recently giving my information to Zillow, I could not retrieve it and when told I would receive a call back in a few minutes, didn't hear from the agent again. I cancelled that fast!

Honestly, I hadn't previously heard of Tomo as an online mortgage company option - not until I was referred to them (by CreditKarma, BankRate and/or NerdWallet - I can't recall which). In any case, I'm so glad that I received the intro to Tomo. [Yes, Rocket and Better seem to get all the attention; so, I obviously contacted them both as well, yet Tomo turned out to be the lender who came through for me].

Tomo has an easy online mtg application process, like all the others; however, unlike the others, when I spoke with the Tomo Mtg loan rep (Michael Riley), he didn't try to finesse or obstruct me. I let him know that I was looking for an up-front estimate of their rates and fees, and he provided that to me - in writing - so that I could use those figures and pre-approval docs to make my offer more appealing to home sellers.

After being stone-walled by other online lenders who wouldn't give me any real numbers, I was impressed by Tomo. Their rates were great, they charge no origination fee, and their overall transparency won me over. I would encourage other home buyers to put their trust in those lenders, like Tomo, who are focused on what their customers actually want, vs a sales strategy that seems more geared to their own benefit.

My interviewer Joseph Lee was polite and professional. It has been years since I done this type of inquiry and most importantly applying for a loan of this magnitude. I had lots of question and since, Joseph inform me that we only have 30 min., because he has other interviewers waiting. I had to rush the question I had written down. I was able to understand most of his responses, however. I couldn't go back to make sure I understood him due to the lack of time. This is why I gave 4 stars.
