Really pleased with my experience at Hartwell Banbury Ford! I’ve just got my new Puma and wanted to say a big thank you to Colin and Simon for all their help.
Colin was brilliant throughout friendly, polite and helpful, and always happy to answer any questions I had. He made the whole process feel easy and straightforward, and nothing was ever too much trouble.
I’d also like to give a mention to Simon, the General Manager, who went out of his way to check in on me and make sure I was completely happy before driving off. He took the time to check everything was sorted and that I was completely happy with my new car, which I really appreciated.
I’m absolutely loving my new Puma and I’m so pleased with the service I received. It was a really positive experience from start to finish.
Thank you again, Colin and Simon! I’d definitely recommend Hartwell Banbury Ford to anyone looking for a new car and would happily use them again.

Complete lack of communication
My brother had a Motbaility car leased from Hartwell Kidlington and after three years his car had its first MOT, which as we were told it did not pass due to the one of the lights shining in the wrong direction. Even though according to the lease's contract Hartwell would do all the health checks and repairs for free, and even though the light was working so it never required being touched by anybody, Hartwell told Motability that my disabled brother, who after his stroke is still partially paralysed on his right side and have only proper use of one hand, must have tampered with the light and because of this competely baseless statement Motability refused to pay for the repairs telling us to ask Hartwell to do the repair. Unfortunately for weeks Hartwell did not bother to answer any of my emails requesting the information how the MOT light failure could be rectified. All information I had was that the person doing the MOT was blaming my brother for the light fault. Since the light was working before and after the MOT, I suspect that it was the same person that during the MOT did something wrong and consequently tried to blame my brother. This was confirmed when another statement was issued that the light could have not been installed like this in the Ford factory because the light bulb would burn out in few hours. This would mean that my disabled brother would be changing the light bulb every few hours to keep it working, intead of taking it to Hartwell for free repair. Cutting long story short after weeks of no communication and after the lease was over and my brother had to return his car to Hartwell, I received an email from Ms Georgina Forbes
Company Secretary & Head of Legal Services of Hartwel plc offering help. All too little and too late and I can only say here what I said to Ms Forbes: Hartwell plc should not be used by Motability as they are definitely not qulified to deal with disabled people.

I have had a Number of vehicles from Hartwells in Banbury. Colin and the team have always looked after me from sales to service. I will return for my next one soon.

I would like to put on record my sincere appreciation for the excellent way Hartwell handled my recent issue with the driver’s seat in my BYD Seal.

In particular, Hartwell deserves real credit for persuading BYD to review its original stance and agree to replace what I considered to be a defective driver’s seat after only 15,000 miles. That was a very welcome outcome.

At the same time, my Seal was serviced, and the entire experience was handled efficiently and politely throughout. Mohamed took care of every detail, kept everything moving smoothly, and ensured the work was completed ahead of schedule. I was also able to return the loan car at my convenience, which was excellent customer service.

Having bought my Seal Excellence from Hartwell two years ago, I can honestly say that I am still delighted with it. Over the years I have owned new, top-of-the-range cars from Tesla, Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes and Audi, and I can genuinely say that the BYD Seal Excellence is outstanding value for money — well designed, well made and an exceptionally impressive car.

For anyone wavering about whether to buy a BYD, I can genuinely recommend both the car and buying from Hartwell. For me, it has been a great decision.

I collected my new car from Hartwell Hereford. On arrival everyone was friendly, welcoming and I was seen promptly.
I was nervous making the journey home having never driven an electric or an automatic car before but the salesman talked me through the features and made sure I was confident before leaving.

The car itself is great and made the 200 mile journey home without needing to stop for a charge - Just like the sales assistant said it would!

Have bought a number of vehicles and had them all maintained by Hartwell, never had an issue that wasn't overcome for a reasonable price in a reasonable timescale.

Chris and Mark were both superb throughout the entire process and made exchanging my beloved Ford Kuga for an explorer a seamless and easy transition. Excellent quick communication through the process and the car was ready freshly valeted and charged up for me to collect.
