My experience is likely different from most -- a bit after signing up for the course, I wound up going through a career change organically when I began to work with an old friend of mine. I therefore didn't need the content in the course as much as I otherwise would have. Still, I definitely benefitted from the perspectives we discussed and the exercises through the course, and I'm positive the benefits would have been even more substantial if a career change hadn't happened to land in my lap.

They do a great job of following up with you and answering any questions you may have. The exercises will take some time on your part, time I didn't really have due to my unexpected employment, but they're very flexible and can accommodate your schedule. My coach (Nicole Crozier) was very friendly, genuinely seemed invested in my success and happiness, and our sessions were a pleasure.

I think it's absolutely worth it if you have the time and commitment to truly engage in it.

We tend to get worried if an investment like this will actually make a change. I was worried to. IT IS A GREAT INVESTMENT It is not common to get this type of support and what they have to offer is very well-rounded. Each one of my coaches at Happen to Your Career, showed how much they care to understand me, my needs and what I needed to move forward. Even when my request is "I dont know what happened, I lost my track", my coach Heather Y. was helpful, confident, and ready to make me feel comfortable again and push to get what I wanted. I came here feeling strong-ish about my skills and got out understanding how much more information about myself I needed ! ..and a whole new perspective about my strengths. I am excited to apply all of this in my life. I recommend this to anyone thinking about making a change in your career, either for a 180 or just growth !

The early stages of self reflection are hugely important and beneficial for the career search. I learned a lot about myself and received a 3rd-party perspective of types of careers and positions that would fit.

Ultimately I learned that an organization's value system would be one of the more important elements for me. I need to do something for the right reason and not to just "find a job." Katja kept me on track to this goal and ultimately made a suggestion that got the ball rolling there.

While I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn on my career journey, I am thankful to Katja and the team at HTYC for the help taking this big step!

I’m really grateful I made the decision to invest in myself and work with Happen To Your Career during a time of big transition. I came in with a clear goal in mind. Katja is a fantastic coach. She is warm, flexible whilst also managing to keep me on task, and was able to motivate me at times when I felt low or like things weren't moving forward. I appreciated the synchrony between our cultural backgrounds, which I think also helped to make this partnership successful for me in securing a job much more aligned to my strengths. And Scott Barlow, the founder of the company, is very hands-on and responsive as well. All in all, a really worthwhile service!

Katja is excellent at providing compassion and practical tools in your career transition! I am glad to have learned from her. I have the confidence to pursue more opportunities, continue to network, and allow myself to be a work in progress.

I trusted this after listening to the podcast for years. After consulting with others in the “program”, I was not the only one getting free extra sessions to progress things. Unless you are already very well established, please do not waste your money. My last appointment I was told to ask ChatGPT to do certain things and it was the last straw.

Overall, I feel like it’s just a money maker and most of the reviews found on the internet are either fake or the only ones of THOUSANDS who got jobs. It’s embarrassing when it does not turn out well for you, so I believe it’s why most people do not leave reviews.

The HTYC approach was very comprehensive and factored in all the important work/life elements involved with career transitions. At the same time, it was a very tailored, personalized coaching experience. Heather Y empathetically helped me sift through the daunting range of options and emotions. Together, we creatively refined the kind of role and environment where I would thrive. Yet, the coaching went well beyond direction setting and offered a practical way to navigate the career change journey. In particular, Heather Y helped me build the muscle to stay focused on what’s important and what I value. Thank you!!

Katja Trmcic's coaching helped me focus my actions and see areas of potential for myself. She also helped me to process some of my emotional hindrances to pursuing creative career opportunities; those had been holding me back quite a bit in pursuing the work I want to do. I have also really struggled with having so many career ideas that I would just freeze and not do any of them; Katja gave me strategies to overcome this and chip away at them. I'm SO grateful for her help and highly recommend her!

Amy helped me be intentional in my next career choices, rather than acting too quickly and reactive, without clear long term goals. Bri and Katja gave me the support and encouragement I needed during a rough period of my career (and life). If you are unsure about your career/ what you want out of life, it's worth a try! This will take a lot of mental energy and time, so make sure you can commit and choose your plan accordingly.

Katjia was an excellent career coach! She was just what I needed; she pushed me out of my comfort zone but I always felt very safe with her. Participating in the HTYC Career Change Bootcamp really helped me meet my goal of making an intentional career change. I came into the program thinking I was going to go in one direction and ended up developing a better path for myself at the same company. My coach, Ben, was great at helping me understand how to better align my strengths and expectations with what I am doing every day, and how to communicate my needs to leaders at my company in a way that I have since felt more seen, heard, and appreciated.

I have had such a positive experience with HTYC. My coach Heather was fantastic - she was so supportive, gave great advice, and was always able to provide the right balance of guiding me through the process and being flexible based on what was coming up in my career process. She had a wealth of experience and shared resources through HTYC along the way. She was incredibly skilled at helping me update my resume and strategize on having discovery sessions with former colleagues on what I may want to do next. I am in the process of my search with a couple active roles I am pursuing. I owe Heather a big 'thank you' for helping me believe I am ready to pursue what's next, and I am excited to see where I end up!

I found the podcast while I was starting to come out of a depression episode and felt so inspired by the stories! In every episode there was something said that resonated with me and gave me hope. After a while I decided to start a shorter version of the career change program with some coaching sessions even though I did not intended to leave my employer.

Overall the experience you get from HTYC is super professional and of a very high quality. The program is very well structured, with short videos that are a pleasure to watch and very well thought excercises backed up by research and their experience working with other clients.

In my view it is key to take the time to do the excercises conciously, especially those at the beginning around strengths and ideal career as well as those from the experimentation part, in combination with the exchanges with your coach to make the most of it. I worked with Laura and had a great experience, she tailored our sessions to my needs and provided great guidance, also helping me see the progress I was making. I also was in contact with Nikki and Nathan at the beginning and overall I have the impression that the whole team beyond HTYC shares this vibrant positive energy and the strong desire to help other people. This is also what Scott transmits in the podcast and videos of the program. Seems like they are having a lot of fun doing what they love :)

Scott and his team at HTYC are the best at personalizing your coaching and career transition experience. The complimentary tools and resources are extremely helpful -- I learned so much from the podcast. The paid resources and access to the coaching staff are even better.
