I used Handy Experts for the first time last week and would definitely recommend them, I had a really great experience! The lady who took my initial call was friendly and helpful in getting everything booked in. And then the plumber who came was just brilliant! He honestly went above and beyond what I expected, I was so impressed. He fixed the leak and boiler quickly and efficiently and gave me great advice too - I felt like he really knew his stuff. Also I've had work done where they leave a real mess, but he was considerate in every way.

It's really hard getting fair priced, high quality tradespeople within the London congestion zone but finally I've found the company to use!

The original plumber only spent 20 minutes on the first visit & couldn't do very much as the cartridge couldn't economically be exchanged & so he recommended that we buy a complete new set of taps. We felt they could have come back & fit the new kitchen taps in the
remaining 40 minutes with the same payment but they wanted to charge for another hour's work.We eventually managed to get this figure down & agreed on a payment , but both plumbers were very knowledgeable, polite & professional & we are very happy with the work carried out.

Good communication, and they did what they said they'd do, for the price they said they'd do it. The only reason not to give a five star is that, we asked for the engineer to return after the heating stopped working following his visit, and were then met with an unexpected second call out invoice. But, when we explained to them we felt this was unjust, they immediately solved it and cancelled the charge. So all in all a great level of service, and we'd recommend.

The service was prompt, with the electrician arriving within a few hours, recognising the urgency, and there was no extra charge for the emergency call-out. Hemal did his utmost to finish quickly and left the area clean. Easy booking, prompt assistance, knowledgeable staff, and simple payment process. I’ve used HandyExperts in the past and will definitely use them again.

I've been using Handy Experts for many years now. They are so efficient at dealing with problems. My rental flat had an issue with the boiler on one of the coldest days of the year and they sent someone out within 5 hours and fixed it. Their phone line always has someone at the end of it who is helpful and friendly. Can't fault them.

Put job on Checkatrade, got their call within minutes. Very gushy woman who put me on edge immediately. I wanted 2 external security lights installed. She said it would be £99 ph, could not be much more as (and I quote) "they buy all the wiring and stuff in bulk". Agreed to an 8.00 - 1.00 slot 2 days later. On the day, electrician rings at 10.15 + says he can't come til after 1.00 now but can't say how much after 1.00. Also that it would be 4 or 5 HOURS work! When I said I had been quoted £300 by someone else he tried to argue it waz not possible! (The other electrician has since done the job for that price incl providing one of lights btw). I cancelled the electrician + sent Handy Experts an email detailing my unhappiness at wasting a day off work for this. They replied apologising and offered me £25 as compensation. I replied to accept this with my bank details but that was a week ago + nothing has been received. I will remember this and if I ever find untoward activity on my account I will be notifying the Police they had my bank details. I have submitted a complaint to Checkatrade about them too but they say it will take several days to appear.

Absolute nightmare, Michael the plumber, or drainage expert attended my place last week to fix a drainage problem at my place with the hourly rate + VAT, only to make things worse. With his very brief visit (half an hour), not only the problem of drainage did not solve, there is now overflowing at my place when I turn on my washing machine.

DO NOT USE. THEIR SERVICE IS A JOKE.

I had an electrician booked for Monday 4th, and took a day off from work for it. On Friday 1st, they call me to reschedule. I begrudgingly accept to move the appointment to Monday 11th morning (8am to 1pm).

Today (Monday 11th) at 11:30am, I still haven't heard from them. I call their office, and they say that the electrician had to cancel the appointment, and that he should have called me. WELL, HE DIDN'T. Isn't that what HandyExperts is for? Booking appointments? What do we even pay them for?

Anyways, after complaining that I had to waste a 2nd day off work, they tell me that they'll find someone to come in the afternoon (2 to 5pm).

The electrician finally came at 3pm, but then he told me that he didn't have the cable needed to do the job, so he'll have to come back another day.

I'll find someone else who doesn't waste my time, and so should you.
