BEWARE! They will NOT cover the warranty
We purchased two recliners at Belfort furniture and were talked into buying the five-year warranty which apparently covers almost any damage that can happen. We decided to purchase it even though it cost us $300, because the two recliners had a lot of moving parts: heating and automatic reclining etc. Recently, my husband noticed that a piece of metal had broken through part of the fabric on the side of the seat, so we filed a claim through Guardsman. On the claim form it asked when the damage was noticed, and my husband accidentally wrote10/2 instead of 11/2, and now they refuse to cover it because they say we did not notify them within 30 days. We called Guardsman to let them know of our error, but they would not even listen. They just shut him down at every turn ~so $300 wasted. SHAME on GUARDSMAN and SHAME on Belfort for dealing with such a company!

I strongly advise against doing business with this company or purchasing any of their protection plans. They will NOT honor their service commitments. I had an extended warranty for a gaming chair, and when I needed to use it, it turned into a nightmare.
I tried reaching out multiple times with no response. When I finally got lucky and someone answered, they asked me to submit a claim. After waiting over two weeks for a response, they told me to "check with the manufacturer" instead.
This is completely unacceptable and makes the extended warranty a total waste of money. They clearly have no intention of standing behind their products or services. Save yourself the hassle and frustration—stay far away from this company!

I finally had to contact the place I purchased to get them to send over documents I put the date of when I noticed it. But since it took so long to upload they denied. I called so many time to dispute they were rude and sarcastic I lost my shit. WARNING DON"T WASTE UR TIME GETTING THIS PLAN THEY WILL DENY

I purchased an LG washer and dryer approximately nine years ago and I’ve been paying for the warranty for that through guardsman all these years this year I had a hardship and I wasn’t able to actually renew it in June 20 24 so I called them and explained that I’m having a hard hardship and if I called back in a couple of months, would I be able to do it if I got the money and the customer service representative told me yes. Push forward to October when I contacted them to say hey I’m able now renew my warranty on my LG washer and dryer while the woman told me that that can no longer be done. It had to have been done within two weeks of the due date.. I clearly explained to her that that’s not what the customer service representative told me when I called them and told them I was having a hardship and I told him I would be calling. Try to call back in a couple of months when I had money to do this so be very careful with what the Customer Service representatives are telling you because for me it was wrong and they should’ve re-updated my warranty and they did not beware of buying guardsmen insurance

If there was something less than zero I would use it. My chair has always had a cover on it, has a loose "decorative" thread. Apparently that isn't covered. Had my dog peed on it or someone bled on it, burned it with a cigarette or tore it with an object, it would be covered. They would repair IT but not replace the "decorative stitching. The chair was sat in 5 times. I am so angry at the misrepresentation of the 5 year warranty and the lack of customer service when trying to file a claim. I will tell everyone I can that this is a complete rip off.

I had a very bad personal experience claiming my damages with guardsman. They DO NOT give clear instructions while raising the claims. We bought a 10 person sectional from havertys and purchased guardsman protection as well. I created the claim in Oct and i was provided a link via the email to submit the pictures. i tried to ensure i follow all the instructions regarding the size of pictures etc. However I was not able to submit, after trying for a week I called them and they said maybe servers were down, please try again. So i did but in vain, I got the same fatal error with no more information. I tried to call the customer service and got the same response. This went on for 3 weeks and and calling them like 4 times. Finally, 4th week, I tried to explain the whole situation and I was tossed from one department to other for about 80 mins to get to someone who said the old claim was not closed and so i was unable to uploaded pictures. They helped in closing the old claim out and re-create a new one. I went on to submit the pictures finally and waited patiently for 2 weeks to hear back from them. They rejected the claim saying the date was passed and they would not accept any damages. This experience is definately a good one as we pay money to ensure our furniture is safe and the premium charged is relatively high.
I would NOT recommend anyone to suffer like this paying extra money to them. Please DO NOT BUY ANY PLANS with this company.

I purchased thier warranty for all 3 pieces of my furniture at #DFS. I was told that it covers any accident and damages etc.
My furniture is white so of course it will discolour over time but not to an extent where I felt I needed to claim. Now my child has has an accident on them and they have said that there are other gradual stains present so my claim is void.
I'm calling for a recent stain, not an old stain!
I feel that I need to claim or sue DFS for selling me this rubbish by misleading me!

Where to start? Purchased 5-year warranties for four appliances when we got our kitchen redone last year--I had no idea these warranties were scams and will definitely let the appliance store (which was awesome) know not to use Guardsman any more. I filed a claim for a broken microwave three months ago. They sent us a technician who said, "oh, you need a part" and left, and we never heard from him again. The tech's number was disconnected; Guardsman gave me a new number for a business with the same name in a *completely different state*--then they gave me another number that goes straight to VM. I explained this, and Guardsman said they had to confirm that the OOS number was in fact OOS and wouldn't service me (I'm in Maryland, business is in Kentucky :) ), and they couldn't give me a referral to another tech, even though the first seems to out of business.
Twice, I was told the case had been escalated, and they would call me back. Never happened.
Honestly, a broken microwave is not a huge deal. But I did pay for the warranties, and I don't like feeling cheated, which is exactly what is happening. Very soon, I'll file a complaing with the BBB against Guardsman/Amynta unless I can recover what I spent for the warranties, and I'll just pay out of pocket for repairs. This runaround isn't worth it.

This is the worst company ever, I will warn Furniture Direct to not market their warranty again as they do not keep to what the tell customers. I sent in my request and they said is not what happened to the couch, then tell me what happened to the couch since you're in my house. requested for refund and they said they will not refund me my money back. This is daylight theft, if you know that you can keep your words, please stop using the furniture company to still from customers.
My warranty is worth the paper it’s printed on
I purchased a five year warranty. Called in May to place a service order. Told I have to do it online send in pictures with the online request they come out only fix half the issue put in another request they say they do not fix it but the scheduling department says they do it’s a sectional all 1 piece. They send out the parts I pick them up on the 19th they say the can’t fix it because it’s past 30 days. I reported another issue on the same day and they still have not addressed it. Keep getting the run around. I gave them a number to call me on they call my husband phone and leave a message saying we can’t fix it because it’s past the 30 days but they couldn’t call and leave a message to say we are trying to reach you to come out and fix your furniture. I also called the furniture store Cleo’s who said it couldn’t have been 30 days because I haven’t had the parts for 30 days because I had to go there to pick them up. Why not send the parts to the person coming to fix the couch. It’s all an excuse not to fix my couch and they are so focused on the lights but not the entire mechanism that’s not attached to the couch. Do you fix that

Would never purchase this insurance. They find any reason not to cover it. My nephew drew on my couch and they denied it. 14k with no real protection bs.

I purchased a lot of furniture when we purchased our new house. The furniture company highly recommended Guardsman. We were told they will come out and fix any issue we had with the furniture.
If a child hit it with a hammer. If we dropped the chair. Anything.
So.... We had issues with a few dining chairs. One of them had a deep scratch from our grandson....
After many weeks, a technician came out and said he couldn't match the paint. He said Guardsman would likely go to the manufacturer for touch up paint and he would be back.
Nope... I got a notice from Guardsman that this is just normal issue. No Coverage.
BTW, I had a similar issue with them a couple of years ago. I caused enough of a stink that the manufacturer replaced the table that Guardsman would not repair.
