Absolutely amazing products.
Absolutely amazing products.
I order for the first time but definitely will not be the last. They followed my request to don't send me pork organs fat what i really really appreciate and 100% i will become a loyal client because other companies doesn't have the option to let a demand or note on their order. My order was 56120 and I am more happy than ever with the quality. I had some doubts whit delivery because came split in 2 different orders but in the end came everything. Thank you for your quality and for very professional services! 👏

Hi Cristina,
Thanks so much for your kind words and for taking the time to leave this lovely review!
We're really glad to hear your first order was a great experience – and that our team was able to follow your request regarding the pork back fat. We know how important those little details are, and it's great to know it made a difference for you.
Apologies again for any confusion with the split delivery – sometimes orders are sent in separate parcels to keep everything in top condition, but we're glad it all arrived safely in the end.
Thanks again for choosing us – we’re so pleased to have you as a loyal customer, and we’re looking forward to sending you more top-quality products in the future!

It wasn't as tender as the first one we bought. The cross section wasn't round (barrel shaped) as a centre cut usually is, it was more triangular. It didn't seem to cook evenly. (Don't know whether that gives you a clue)??? Your thoughts would be very much appreciated. We still intend to return for a Christmas fillet.

Hi Terry,
Thanks so much for your review and for coming back to us again – we really appreciate your support.
You're absolutely right to notice a difference, and your comments are really useful. Unlike supermarket meat, our native breed beef isn’t always as uniform in shape or texture – especially with cuts like the centre-cut fillet. These animals are slower grown and naturally varied, so you’ll sometimes see differences like the triangular shape you mentioned. It’s not unusual, and doesn’t affect the quality, but it can mean the cooking needs a bit of adjustment.
That said, we totally get how that can catch you off guard, so thanks again for flagging it. If you're planning ahead for Christmas, let us know – we’re more than happy to talk through options or help you get the perfect fillet for your plans.
Looking forward to seeing you back soon.

The mutton rack was absolutely lovely
The mutton rack was absolutely lovely. If I were cooking it again however, I wouldn’t use the instructions given on the website.
I would score the fat and render it on the hob, then roast in the oven.

Hi there,
Thanks so much for the lovely review – we're really glad you enjoyed the mutton rack! Great to hear it hit the spot.
Appreciate the feedback on the cooking instructions too – scoring and rendering on the hob first sounds like a brilliant idea for getting that fat just right. We'll take a look at the recipe and see if we can incorporate that tip for others as well.
Hope to see you back again soon!
All the best,
The Gridiron Meat Team

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Susan, we appreciate it.
A rewarding discovery.
I originally visited Gridironmeat online to source pork back fat .What I discovered was a delightful selection of meat at very reasonable prices.
The site was easy to navigate and ordering was a simple process.
My purchases arrived on time and were extraordinarily well packed. The business is both efficient and effective.
Without exception, the meat was well butchered and very tasteful. The pork back fat I purchased rendered down perfectly to produce a most wonderful pure lard.
I will most certainly use again on a regular basis.

Hi Bruno,
Thanks so much for the fantastic review – we're really glad you found us! It's great to hear that your experience from start to finish was a rewarding one, and that everything from the website to the packaging (and of course, the meat!) was to your liking.
Pork back fat isn't always easy to source, so we're pleased it worked out so well for you – sounds like that lard turned out beautifully. Looking forward to having you back as a regular!

Two recent orders of trad sirloin and rib eye both full of flavour and tender as! As an experiment, I purchased another sirloin from a recognised premium local butcher today and compared. Perhaps with the delivery charge GIM works out a little more expensive, but I'm more than happy to pay...there was no comparison.
As a repeat purchaser, I also recommend the Old Fashioned Smoked streaky bacon, thick cut and rind on, it really is old fashioned. Would prefer a heavier smoke if I had to be critical.

Thanks so much for the brilliant review – we’re genuinely chuffed to hear you’ve been enjoying both the sirloin and rib eye. It’s great to know they stood up so well in your taste test too – we put a lot of care into sourcing and ageing our beef, so comments like this really help.
Also love that you’ve given the Old Fashioned Smoked streaky bacon a shout – it’s a proper favourite here too! We really appreciate your feedback on the smoke level. It’s something we’re always looking to tweak and improve, so we’ll keep that in mind.
Thanks again for your continued support – it’s customers like you that keep us doing what we do.
