I booked flights through Booking.com who outsource to Gotogate. Booking was easy enough but when I needed to change the flight the support was hopeless. You can't amend online, the emails tell you to call customer support (but don't provide any numbers) so you go through chat. This takes hours of your life up waiting and they are clearly dealing with multiple calls at the same time. They are unable to make the changes anyway and so someone has to try to call you back in a couple of days (from a number that shows up as "Suspected Scam"...). Got there eventually but won't use Booking.com for flights again.

What should’ve been a simple round-trip airfare booking/modification turned into a nightmare.
E-ticket wasn’t processed, causing 45min check-in delay – airline staff said NO booking existed with Gotogate.
Calls went unanswered, leading to me MISSING MY FLIGHT due to their incompetence and dishonesty scams.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Booking reference 1119-847-675 is NOT associated with any actual airline flight or official customer record/e-ticket.
There are countless reputable travel agents and airline websites out there – don’t put your plans or money at risk with Gotogate.

However, I want to make it clear that my intention in posting there was not just to seek support – it was to share my nightmare experience and advise other potential customers against using Gotogate travel agents for their travel needs. I believe it's important for people to be aware of the issues I've encountered so they can make informed decisions about which service provider to choose.

Impossible to get refunds issued. They literally make up total lies like you've not sent in receipts, when they have received them 3 times over - including in my case by conventional mail sent to Sweeden and in reply to the first 'official' reach out by their agent by email which requested the receipt by return email - which they got and now 'amazingly' the 'return' email no longer is an active email address, so when I follow up on that email thread the email bounces back. So they 'cancel' your refund request because you have 'not sent' them the correct receipts - even though you have 3 times. AVOID, THEY ARE HORRENDOUS and their 'game' is that they hope you get fed up and forget. Irony is they have spent so much paying agents whose only job is to fob you off.
Do under no circumstances use gotogate

Vorab bezahlter Betrag bleibt mindestens solange gesperrt. Wohl plus 15 Tage. Warten seit 3 Tagen auf Bestätigung mit festgebuchtem Platz. Während dieser auf der Singapur Airlines Seite direkt noch verfügbar ist. Dh, es wurde seitens gotogate kein Versuch der Buchung unternommen. Customer Service verweist auf die 72h. Und bricht chats regelmässig ohne Gründe ab.

Viaggio in Thailandia previsto dal 26 novembre al 9 gennaio con il mio fidanzato. Ho tre nomi quindi al momento dell'acquisto dei biglietti li scrivo nelle mie informazioni. Al momento del check in il 26 novembre, impossibile. Quindi non capisco e chiamo la compagnia aerea e Gotogate. L'azienda mi spiega che Gotogate ha scritto il mio primo nome ma ha solo messo le iniziali degli altri 2 quindi le informazioni chiave non corrispondono. Ho passato tutto il giorno al telefono cercando di risolvere la situazione. Da un lato la compagnia aerea mi diceva che potevano rimediare alla situazione ma dovevo pagare 40 dollari. Dall'altro Gotogate che mi diceva che il cambiamento sarebbe stato fatto entro un'ora. Ogni ora chiamavo quindi Gotogate e la compagnia per sapere se il cambiamento era stato fatto. MAI. Per essere sicura di partire mi sono rassegnata a pagare. Gotogate mi ha rimborsato la somma durante il mio viaggio dopo diverse settimane ma soprattutto dopo diverse e-mail giornaliere.
Durante il viaggio si decide di posticipare la data del ritorno e quindi si contatta Gotogate. Ci dicono che è possibile, ma bisogna pagare 400€ di spese. Si paga, ovviamente si viene prelevati nel secondo perché per prendere il denaro sono ovviamente i primi ma per restituirli è un'altra storia.
Arriva il momento di fare il check in per tornare a casa. Mi collego all'applicazione e c'è scritto che la prenotazione è annullata. In preda al panico contatto il servizio clienti di Gotogate che mette un pazzo a rispondere e che capisce solo la metà delle cose dato che le sue persone non parlano bene l'inglese e sono sempre traduzioni approssimative. Ci danno il numero dei biglietti dicendoci che abbiamo solo bisogno di presentarci al design con questo e che potremmo fare il check in.
FALSE BUGIE.
IMPOSSIBILE fare il Check in, la compagnia non ci trova, il cambiamento non è mai stato comunicato.

È domenica sono le 4:00 del mattino non abbiamo più credito internet, non abbiamo ricaricato perché dovremmo partire e l'unico «servizio clienti» attivo è quello in inglese. Non è mai stato possibile contattare nessuno.
L'unico modo per tornare a casa era pagare i biglietti di ritorno.
È passata una settimana da quando sono tornata e ho provato a contattarli per telefono

Seems like THAT'S what they do - get you excited and once you put in all the work already raise the rates... doesn't seem trustworthy at all

De nuevo otra conversacion con GotoGate y de nuevo otra decepcion. Me comunican que del billete de avion me devuelven el 10 % de su valor de compra. Pero como todo viene de un cambio de fecha de vuelta que nunca pudieron confirmarme horario de vuelta y que cobraron aparte (150€) y eso produjo la anulacion. Pues de eso ni lo mencionan. Claro se lo recuerdo y me dicen que ya me diran algo. Siempre la misma tecnica no hablar de lo que no les conviene. Es decir lo que hacen los ESTAFADORES SIN ESCRUPULOS.
Never Use Go To Gate
After making 24 calls to GoToGate and being repeatedly assured that my case was escalated and prioritized, no resolution ever came. They promised a response within 72 hours, but even after waiting the full time and making more calls, nothing was resolved. In the end, I had to book a new flight with another company and lost the money on the original ticket.
Worst Booking Experience of My Life
My tickets were cancelled by the airline, and it was not possible to change the dates. I had to purchase new tickets from another website. It took almost a full year and more than 20 follow-ups — including threats to escalate to Transport Canada — before I finally received my refund. (My original ticket was on 9 August 2024, I was refunded on 19 June 2025!)
This was a very poor experience, and I would never use this website again. If I could, I would give 0 stars. Not recommended at all.
Sky Scammers
Absolute Scam, using Sky Scanner they were the cheapest by far then after them getting all my details, they added $186.67 which represented 10% to the air fare. Waste of time and effort, avoid with extreme prejeduce SCAM.

My experience with Gotogate has been nothing short of a nightmare — financially, mentally, and emotionally.
In February 2025, I booked 2 plane tickets for my family through Gotogate. In March, I contacted their customer service to change the travel dates, paid over $300 in change fees, and received a confirmation that the modification was successful. Based on that confirmation, I purchased a third ticket on the same new dates, spending an additional $$$.
Then, almost a month later, Gotogate informed me that they couldn’t process the changes after all. No explanation. No refund. No real apology. Just cold, generic emails and useless alternatives.
To recap:
I paid for a service they confirmed.
They failed to deliver it.
They kept my money
I was left with 3 unusable tickets and no solution.
What followed was a disgraceful loop of canned replies, contradictory information, and total lack of accountability. I filed a formal dispute through my bank and Gotogate responded with false claims, saying the service was provided — despite clear proof to the contrary. My dispute was rejected.
The emotional and logistical toll this situation has taken is massive. I spent weeks chasing answers, unable to rebook travel, constantly anxious, and repeatedly dismissed by their so-called customer service.
To this day, I have not received a single cent back. Gotogate has not acknowledged their failure, nor offered any compensation — not even a partial refund. I now have to resort to:
Filing complaints with consumer protection authorities in France and other European authorities now.
Publishing this review to warn others : do not trust this company. They will take your money, fail to deliver, and hide behind vague terms and conditions while pretending it’s not their fault.
This isn’t just bad service — it’s dishonest and exploitative.
Never again.

Flight cancelled 5 months ago, I have contacted them ( I still retain the chat log lies ) numerous times. I am now contacting them every 3 days!
They always say the refund has been “escalated” then thank me for my now exhausted “patience”
Iberia have emailed and confirmed by phone that the flight is cancelled. Unfortunately as I did not book with them they can only refund the thieves that BOOKING.COM ( without my knowledge or authority) used to book my flights.
I wouldn’t use Booking.com nor ever have any dealings with the Gotogate crooks!

Flight was cancelled due to bad weather December 2024. Guess who is still waiting for a refund?
Refund status has been stuck on "Application to Porter Airlines in progress", and yet when escalated, GotoGate completely shirks all responsibility.
Never use this firm to book flights; zero customer support. It's now been 7 months since the flight.
Appalling service lead to missed flight
Go to gate sent the airline I booked with an email address they had invented. When the flight times were bought forward the airline sent notification to this fictitious address, while Gotogate continued to email me the incorrect information telling me I could not check in on line and had to check in at the airport. When we arrived 4 hours early at the airport the flight had already departed . We had to book new flights at huge cost. Gotogate have been completely obstructive in terms of accountability or refund offers and I have spent several hours on email , live chat and the phone with no result
