I ordered ten DVDs online. They all came, delivered to the midlands in the one parcel literally the next day. Excellent service. I almost didn’t buy anything due to the mediocre reviews here but my relative says he always orders from this website and never has any problems.

I ordered the Tron trilogy on DVD on your website and to my surprise it arrived in the post this morning after only two working days. Package looks in good condition so I'll look forward to watching them on my reasonably new DVD player soon. Excellent stuff as always with Golden Discs ✨️

Worst Vinyl Record store in Ireland. Their head office ignores online issues and emails. Golden discs is not worthy of being supported by Irish Customers. There are plenty of far superior decent Record store retailers in Ireland and even Amazon is worth supporting above Golden Discs. Shocking lack of customer service!

I rang the Golden discs branch in Athlone on Tuesday asking could a blu ray be put by for me until Friday. I was travelling over to Athlone on Friday to collect a new release blu ray that day. The very polite and friendly guy I was speaking to said he would put them by for me. Alan was the gentleman I was dealing with and he had them kept for me. Great service,great staff so friendly and polite....excellent

Just popped In to Golden Disc on Gervas Street Dublin..I browsed around the Store ,looking for inspiration .... I had a few items in mind, Christmas gifts.. one of the staff, a girl , followed me around the store, kept watching me..I could see her making signals to her co worker a young man..I've worked in Retail Security in the past. I appreciate the job that has to be done, but there's a thing called discretion. I paid for my purchase, and then I felt I had to say something to her. I was polite, and I said it made me feel very uncomfortable. Her reply was, We watch everybody....Not a very nice attitude...Very disappointed customer service

I've purchased from their Cork City store on a number of occasions & ordered online twice now, everything always came quickly (2 days in each case - Standard Delivery) and haven't had any issues with any of the records I purchased (9 vynils total). No complaints from me! So if you're on the fence about purchasing from them due to the negative reviews I definitely think they're worth giving a shot, make your own opinion, things change with time & sounds like they really struggled post pandemic & Brexit. Looks to me like they're on top of things again, no experience with pre-orders myself.

Delivery was super fast, all the way from Ireland to Finland and the movies I ordered arrived in prefect condition! Will definitely order from you again :).

Pedí un vinilo y llegó dañado. Al escribirles por correo adjuntando fotos, no me dieron ningún tipo de solución.
Teniendo en cuenta que el vinilo estaba envuelto por dos cajas y que ambas estaban perfectas, me temo que me lo enviaron dañado y por eso no han querido ni afrontar las consecuencias.

I often bought from their shop over the years. We need independent record shops and Golden discs is one of the last still standing! Decided to make my first online order. Ordered 4 cds/boxsets online and one in particular was great value! They arrived very fast, the next day! All in perfect condition and got plenty of updates about delivery. Also received a discount for my first order and I am automatically in their loyalty club for further discounts. I also received a discount for my birthday. Excellent, friendly service and highly recommended! Many Thanks!

Weirdest experience I've ever had in a shop. I accidentally left my coffee cup on the counter, and the guy working there saw me do it, made eye contact, and then, instead of saying anything to me, decided to chase down some random woman outside the store to give her the trash — which wasn’t even hers.

When he came back, he started going on this bizarre monologue about "preserving the sanctity of the shop" like he was the main character in some indie film. Then he sat at the register watching TikToks of Taxi Driver edits, nodding to himself like he was rehearsing for an Oscar speech.

The records are fine, I guess, all I'll say is vintage isn't their priority; at all.

He also made a pretty unhinged reddit post later that day, The timing is far to coincidental, seeing as this happened while I was in goldendisks.

I bought some earbuds, but when I got home found that they were the old version with an old usb port, so none of my chargers would work.

They refused to refund saying that there's nothing wrong with them, technically correct, however mini-B USB stuff was dropped years ago, sounds more like they sold me old stock as new... and were rude about it.

Ordered my son's Xmas present on 11 December, obviously they said the items were in stock and Christmas delivery was possible. Then on 19 December they email to say they didn't have the stock. They waited just long enough that I won't be able to order the gift from another retailer. Abysmal.

Ordered an item days ago only to be told it was out of stock today, then my email to CS went unanswered. Clearly oversold.

Ordered blurays twice from them. First order I had a box art torn due to impact damage. I was told that I could send it back (which is insane given international shipping), they ignored my request to get a discount coupon.

In my second (and last) order, I received one of the blurays unwrapped and with damage on the box. Customer support insists that "Suppliers sometimes don't wrap items to cut on plastic use" (lol), imagine getting an opened vinyl, or videogame, or anything else. Yet again, after providing photo proof, they refused to give a coupon code instead of asking me to send the item back to get a full refund/exchange.

Although the staff were helpful as there is no disabled access my husband was unable to access the shop or the Vinyl Lounge which was the purpose of our visit today.
Very very disappointed that with so much legislation governing disabled access the owners of this chain choose to ignore it

Record Store Day 2024 included 387 special releases. This year I was going to purchase 17 of these plus some impulse buys. However when I got to the tiny section Golden Discs Dundrum had set aside for Record Store Day 2024 my heart sank. There were so few titles available from the list that I thought they can’t be sold out as it’s only opened and there are so few people here. I found 2 records off my list. Shame on whoever is the buyer. You would be better off opting out next year as it’s very misleading to customers.

This shop is really fast and their service is good, but I have something to complain about. I will say the positive things too, anyway. I ordered a DVD two months ago and they were much faster than I thought. Even though I live in Greece and the store is in Ireland, my DVD has arrived almost in 10 days, something very impressive, I have to say. The confusing thing that made the whole thing a little bit difficult, is that my house is in a district town were the houses have no address, so when I had to say my address to the platform, all I could do was to write the name of the area. When my package came to Greece, they sent it to a post office were they had to look at the address and then deliver it to my house. As I can understand, they didn't know what to do since there was no address on the package. At some point, they informed me that the process of my order has failed, because I did not inform them about the address. I sent them an Email to ask some explaining, they told me to communicate with the post office and after some days of searching, I went myself to the post office and they had it there. As they said, they were about to send it back. I knew that it was obvious that they couldn't send it to my home because I have no address, but I thought they would call me, since I gave them my phone number. I found out the reason they didn't do that when I looked at the tag on the package. There was no my phone number on it. So I understand that the shop "Golden Discs" didn't write my number on the tag, so when the post office recived it, they didn't know how to talk with me. If there was my number on the package, they would have call me and the things would be easier. In conclusion, I am NOT disappointed with the service of the shop, they did it pretty good. However, I am annoyed by the fact that they skipped to write my phone number on the tag of the package, since I gave it to them. So maybe I will try to order again from this store at some point, but if they don't write my number again, I won't try it for a third time.
