I have been getting taxis from Gett for many years and in all that time I have only experienced one disagreeable driver. With that one exception, many years ago, I have only had really good, responsible drivers. As I have become older and less able, they have all been kind, helpful and patient.

Perfect Ending to Our Time in London

Please reset the meter once picked up
I think Gett should remind drivers of two important points:
1. The fare includes 15 minutes of free waiting time, so drivers should be aware of this before charging waiting fees.
2. Drivers should reset the meter once they have picked up a passenger. I have experienced this a couple of times where the driver did not reset the meter, meaning that when I got into the cab, the meter was already showing £5.80.
I am also not sure why customer service would ask whether I had confronted the driver about this. As a passenger, I do not think it should be my responsibility to confront a driver about a fare issue. I am still relying on that driver to take me safely to my destination, and I would not necessarily feel comfortable or safe challenging them during the journey. Customer service should recognise this and understand that passengers may reasonably choose to report the issue through the appropriate customer service channel rather than confront the driver directly.
These issues can be quite frustrating for passengers, and I hope Gett can provide clearer guidance to drivers and take passengers’ safety and concerns into account when handling complaints.

Regarding your points about the meter and waiting time, drivers operate under clear contractual agreements with Gett to follow strict service standards. Failing to reset the meter prior to pick-up or incorrectly applying waiting fees is entirely unacceptable behavior. We need to ensure the drivers involved are reminded of their contractual obligations and that any overcharges are reviewed.

We have sent a request for further information through the Trustpilot platform, and I would be extremely grateful if you could fill that in.
