I love how Freemote is organized. Since it's not a traditional bootcamp or university, there is no specific timeframe or pressure. You get the luxury of working at your own pace. It's not all easy (especially if your brand new to coding) I re-started the program 3 times. This time around I'm very focused and trying to absorb all the information. If someone is wanting to learn web development and is interested in being a successful freelancer, I would highly recommend this course! I cant wait to complete the program and land my first client!

Before Freemote, I was an aspiring developer that was taking dozens of online courses on how to become a Web Developer for almost 2 years. I learned a ton of specialized things about HTML, CSS & JS, but didn’t know the most basic thing about how to land an interview or get a client. Also, my web development knowledge was to broad and general, so I couldn’t stand out that much from other web developers.

On my search for a solution to this, I came across Jan & Aaron on YouTube and discovered Freemote.

Freemote allowed me to polish my HTML, CSS & JS skills by teaching me in the most understandable and practical way the skills I would use 95% of my time in my job.
Then it introduced me to Shopify development, which is a highly paid skill in the ecommerce industry with a lot of demand from clients that are willing to hire fresh new developers as long as they demonstrate they can do the job right. Which takes me to the most important thing Freemote teaches: Marketing & communication for developers.

95% of developers don’t know a thing about how to communicate with clients and effectively showcase the great job they can do, so this skill gives you a HUGE advantage over other developers and lets you land jobs almost immediately after finishing the program.

And moreover, the program gets updated frequently with new content and gives special opportunities to the best students of the program.

If you want to make money on the internet as a developer, do not hesitate and take this program. Totally worth it.

I barely knew anything about coding before I started the program and I just completed the first project. That being said, the instruction is very clear and concise and feedback and support is top notch. The program makes me feel like I am making consistent progress and that if I make it through that I will be a successful freelancer. Would definitely recommend.

The teachers are excellent, they are experienced freelancers themselves, and give thorough and clear explanations of the materials being taught. They also show you the step-by-step process, with hands-on learning and solutions.

The course is conducted in video series, guiding you systematically. You get video feedback from mentors for the projects completed in the course. If you get stuck, you could email the Freemote Team.

You will be taught the skills to become a Shopify developer expert. I was able to get my first client on UpWork! I had applied everything they taught me and got Shopify freelance work successfully. I would recommend this course for anyone that want to get started on freelancing programming jobs.

I absolutely loved working with the mentors who gave me personalized feedback on my projects and provided me with a great experience. I am now a top-rated freelancer on Upwork and I got a paid-internship.

It not just teaches Shopify development but also react. So It really prepares you for a full-time job.

It that's what you need, you can get this course without having any trust issues.

Freemote does great on teaching, mentoring and integrating modern practices in the field of eCommerce and freelance web development - especially to users getting a start in this industry. I highly recommend Freemote, you will not be disappointed. Likewise, the Freemote staff and mentors respond quickly and are very customer service oriented!

I went with Freemote because I realized that I wasn't getting the social aspect of learning through Udemy and YouTube etc. I also related to so many of the other people writing reviews about wanting to start a new career in web development, but getting stuck trying to go the self-taught way.
My experience thus far in the program has been truly great. There are so many resources, and the feedback I receive not only makes my coding better, but it makes me as a person much more confident in what I am doing. Don't let coming from a non-techy background hold you back if this is something you feel you want to do!

I could go on all day about how awesome they've been! I've been with Freemote for a while -- they are an ongoingly supportive and amazing group, always quick to provide extremely valuable insight and feedback and guide you every step of the way through your coding career. I highly recommend this program. Trust me I have been there done that for $17000 boothcamp but left it after 2 months $3000 intuition fee. I had learned so many css n html from this program within one week with fully supportive staffs when you stuck. This is the REAL DEAL for all front-end web developers should begin.

Freemote is a super low-key company with high-quality instruction. It's easy to follow for new comers like myself, and there is PLENTY of instructor feedback, which is super helpful.

There is absolutely a learning curve, but that is to be expected. Freemotes FB group has tons of resources to help you overcome that.

I'm learning so much and can't wait to continue. If you're on the fence, get off of it and join up!

Freemote has delivered on everything it promised. I’ve had total support from the teachers and have not been ignored once. The content is sound, thorough, and concise. Freemote really is trying it’s hardest to make you a successful web developer and if you try too, you will be.

Even though I started this Bootcamp with high expectations, they were met and even surpassed.

After I finished the first month and was certain this program was extremely valuable, it kept delivering again and again!

I am extremely happy with the overall experience and the value I got from it.

If it was double the price I would still find it cheap regarding the value for money.

My questions where answered with detail. Plus I was given tools to help my coding formate. Every time he spoke I would hear myself go ooh. Filling in missing pieces of the puzzle in my brain. Simple but effective follow ups. Thanks

The program gives you the amount of knowledge you need to be a frontend developer and a shopify consultant to begin to take jobs by yourself. You have also a lot of help and reviews from mentors which is awesome. I have almost finished week 5 and I a looking forward to close my first cleint.

Authentic and detailed bootcamp that I have felt very good about thus far. I have zero coding experience and have learned A LOT in a fun and engaging way. I feel more and more confident after each lesson. I look forward to finishing and becoming a freelancer.

My first review by the Freemote Technical Mentor was great! The tips offered on the background element were very helpful and educational. I also appreciated how he gave the reasons behind his suggested changes. Really useful and thorough feedback. Much more than I expected and very insightful.

Aaron teaches really well, slowly going through everything. Jan proceeds at a pace that I find skippy and I've had to rewatch his videos many times to follow the thread. They both seem like lovely people. I still can not understand JS to save my life though - it feels like the examples aren't true to life ones, so it's hard to apply to the projects I'm working on now.

That said, it's pretty dang bro-y. The intro (might have changed now after all the Twitter stuff) was basically a love letter to Elon Musk, and the only woman who worked there (out of ~10 staff) was doing customer service.

I'd love to see far more diversity in this program as it grows, but it did further my understanding of HTML & CSS a lot.
