Great course that can get you started making money right away.

There are limitless free online sources for learning to code, but after 6 months of swimming through tutorial after tutorial, I felt as if I was lost at sea. Then, I found this course, and it was like an absolute lifeboat!

This course focuses on teaching you only the things you NEED to know to get started in front-end web development, while progressively adding complexity along the way. The videos are produced well at high-quality, and the pacing is excellent for the program, but best of all is the community and support that comes along with this course. You aren't dropped off on your own to do this course (like some other tutorial programs out there); there is an active and healthy mentorship program throughout the entire program to aid you along the way.

My personal favorite aspect of Freemote has been it's ability to not only teach you things about development, but to also teach you how to learn new things about development (where to go to get questions answered and how to find information you need).

In the end, this program has been everything I needed to finally make the career change I've been wanting to make for years now. Thank you, Freemote!

Great course and every video is filled with important knowledge that helps you learn about programming from someone who has real life experience doing the work. Best of all is the service to get your projects reviewed to get a better understanding of how you can improve as well as being able to ask questions from people in the same course as you and see their experiences and growth because realistically the biggest struggle is mental and being able to get support from like-minded individuals is important.

Whether you specifically want to learn about shopify development from experienced developers or would like to learn web development from an experienced developer, this course is very detailed and thorough, but i imagine most people will take 4-6 months to complete it and have a good understanding of the knowledge and concepts of coding.

Very solid course, as well as great tutoring. Worth the price.

After finishing a full-stack dev bootcamp, that cost over 5 times more than this one and having no luck in finding work, I decided to join Freemote and it was the best decision of my life.

Freemote gave me tons of confidence, knowledge and skills to go after my goals. I started freelancing just a month after joining, but it was not my main goal. I kept applying to full-time dev jobs and used freelancing as a side-gig while I was searching.

I used what I learned from JavaScript and Advanced JavaScript weeks of this course to successfully pass a technical interview and am now working as a front-end dev for Pipedrive.

Aaron and Jan have put an amazing bootcamp together and just like wine, it keeps getting better with time. With lifetime access, even once you've gone through the course, you can keep coming back to it and find new content, new features, updates and more.

As an example - in last 4 months, a whole new section covering Shopify 2.0 has been added (covering an update to Shopify, that was just released in July).
Live calls, weekly Q&A, support chat are just few of the new features that were not there when I joined it.

Unlike limited time access courses or courses with no updates - Freemote is a course that keeps on giving.

I have never seen a course that focuses on you and your success more efficiently than Freemote. Everything you learn you instantly apply in practice, you get personalized video feedback on your projects and the curriculum is structured in a way that allows you to get real-life experience before you finish (if you want). There is zero fluff, no upsells, great community and you can feel that Aaron and Jan genuinely care.

I have been studying web development on and off for two years. I fell into so called tutorial and didn't feel like I have achieved anything. Not only that but also I was overwhelmed with all the things that I had to learn about the web development.

Terrific course. So many other bootcamps tend to "flood" you with things early on that feel unnecessary, where here it has been more focused and not all over the place. The support behind the scenes is fantastic as well with personal code reviews done on video as well as questions answered in a quick fashion when stuck. This course has given me the confidence to work through problems when stuck and it's not something I've felt in this field before.

I would say that it is the best course I every bought. Freemote provides you all the things you need to start freelancing and gives you a lot of self-confidence. In addition, they always keep the course up to date with new videos (e.g. for the Shopify 2.0 update which was released a month ago). It is an investment for your career.

When I started learning Shopify I was searching for good materials and good explanations. From tons of videos I've found Youtube Channel – Coding with Jan and his explanation was awesome. Then when I heard about Freemote course I thought it will be the best way to learn Shopify platform and understand better when materials will be in a structured logical way. For me, Freemote course became one of the best investment in my education, it's very helpful and will close all the questions that you need to know about how Shopify works from beginning to advance level. Freemote provides so much value! Not just in terms of web development - but also for running your freelance business, the mindset you need, and a community of other like minded developers on the same journey as you.
The lessons are easy to follow and you get tonnes of hands on projects which is challenging enough to push yourself.
Aaron and Jan are great instructors and mentors - they feel like the gun friend at work showing you how to get things done.
There is access to another group of great mentors for support, and a facebook group exclusive to Freemote members which is a community of others who are on the same journey as you - from all over the world!
Some other cool things about this bootcamp is that you can get your code reviewed by one of the mentors and they will give you a video feedback, weekly live Q&A calls where you can ask any questions that Aaron and Jan will answer personally.
Freemote also provides you with plenty of valuable documentations to set your freelancing venture for success.
Since I joined, the platform has been constantly evolving, introducing new features and improving!

I have 8+ experience building on the Shopify e-commerce platform, but until I joined Freemote I wasn't truly confident about editing the theme code. This course gave me the exact coding skills and experience I needed to take on high-demand Shopify projects. These were the projects that seemed out of my reach in the past.

Jan and Aaron review your code, hold live weekly Q&A sessions, and are active in the Facebook group. They do a great job of encouraging and supporting their students. One week of the course even addresses the subject of freelancing and finding clients. Jan and Aaron encourage you to start your search for clients before you've even completed the course.

The course had only been live for a few months before Shopify announced Online Store 2.0. in August. By early September, 2.0-related content was added to the course. With that level of responsiveness, I can already tell that having lifetime access to the course will be valuable.

Course modules are delivered as recorded videos, sometimes with work-along projects. You submit your code for review and get a useful video response within a few days. The asynchronous learning platform is perfect for those of us who want to work at our own pace.

The Facebook community is active and supportive. Classmates come from many backgrounds and are of all ages. As a woman, I'm pleased to see other women joining the group every week.

I've taken another coding bootcamp. In comparison to that one, Freemote offers more bang for the buck and (for my very specific purposes) perfectly-targeted instruction. It has everything I needed and nothing I didn't.

I could have spent many months compiling the information I needed to learn in order to become a web developer or freelancer and freemote made the path visible. I don’t like wasting my time.

After looking at countless boot camps for web development, I felt frustrated at the mountain of code languages and frameworks that I would have to learn to then turn around and compete with 10's of thousands of other boot camp grads. Not to mention the price.

Then I found Freemote, read the 5 star reviews on another boot camp review site, and signed up. What really excited me was Aaron and Jan's philosophy on how to break into development as a freelancer, i.e. earn while you learn. Instead of cramming 3-4 languages, 3 -4 frameworks within a unreasonable timeframe like other over-priced boot camps, Freemote gives you the core skills to start developing on the Shopify Platform, and as you do that you not only learn more advanced stuff through your own projects, but they give you more and more advanced understanding of development through their curriculum. Not to mention they give your personal project reviews, portfolio reviews, are available for code reviews, and have a weekly Q and A where they answer any other questions from the group. The price of Freemote is a fraction (and I mean a fraction) of the price of other boot camps.

I guess the best way to summarize how awesome Freemote is:
Within 3 weeks of starting Freemote's program, I started earning as a freelance Shopify developer from what I learned. Keep in mind, I had not touched HTML since the 90's when you still would put CSS in the HTML elements. In other words, I was clueless. But, I was determined, followed all their directions, practiced, made demo projects.

If you follow Aaron's and Jan's instructions, take your time to practice on the projects (which are also your real world portfolio pieces), there is no doubt you can succeed in being a Shopify developer/consultant or even (as many other students have) get a job as a Shopify Developer at an agency.

I'm just so thankful I found this program, and got to learn from two honest and caring people. Jan and Aaron are on to a new paradigm on how a boot camp SHOULD be done!

They show that they really care about you getting results. And they haven't stopped improving since I joined, adding useful videos, weekly live calls, additional resources to get help etc.

I have been trying to learn web development and failed because the scope of skills needed was too broad.
