This course is fantastic, and the community that comes with it is great!
The teaching videos are really straight forward and to the point, especially in the first week.
They have a great transition from holding your hand into letting you go into the real freelance world.
I have only gotten into the 4th week of the 7 they have, and I already feel confident in my skills, not only as a freelancer, but also as a website developer in general.
I would totally recommend this to anyone looking to get into the freelance, or programming world.

In general he said everything looks very good and works as it should!

He validated the unicode character solution I used for the problem I said I had in showing the submit arrow (in Coming Soon Project 1). And he mentioned an alternative way it could be done as well.

Besides that he recommended a few improvements such as with the input form - making sure to always quote the type values; and if the input type was for email, to use type="email" instead of "text" to cause some automatic validation to occur on the user's input.

Short version:
This course gives you video trainings, full on coding tests, and personalized code reviews. Worth way, way more than I paid honestly.

Long version:
I'm a software product manager, so I work with two teams of back-end and front-end devs everyday. I've been wanting to increase my technical expertise, but have not been able to find a course that really fits my needs. I have tried other somewhat free courses that are a lot of reading and then at the end of the section they will have some fill in the blanks, but those weren't hands on enough, and I felt like I wasn't learning anything. I got bored trying out two of those and took a break for about a year.

About 3 months ago I was talking with my wife, telling her yet again how I just felt I needed to bite the bullet and try a night-class bootcamp here in Utah. I was ready to pay the $15k for the course and just about paid the deposit, but then I ran across this ad for Freemote. I was pretty skeptical so I looked up Aaron's Youtube channel to see if he was legitimate and his videos were really good. I took a call with one of the other Freemote employees and he helped me get signed up.

I can honestly say this course is WAY more than I expected. The level of detail that Aaron goes into is awesome, yet he explains it in really simple terms. I did not expect that there would be actual coding assignments and quizzes. I just assumed it would be an information dump, and you would have to kind of create your own projects to practice with. The course provides assignments, then afterward you submit the assignment/project and a Freemote developer reviews it and sends you back a personalized video. I just finished my first project, and the review was 13 mins long. It answered a ton of questions I had about things I just couldn't figure out. This course is honestly worth probably 10x what I paid for it, so thank you, Freemote, for keeping it so affordable! Best part about it all is that it's completely at your own pace, so I didn't have to commit to night school.

I am very happy with Freemote Bootcamp. I work full-time and cannot work on it all the time. Having as much time as I need to do the lessons is very helpful. I like how the lessons are set up and Aaron Jack and Jan do a great job teaching. I am really impressed with the fact that the course is updated and more projects have been added to help us understand the lessons better. I appreciate that we can turn our finished projects in to be reviewed and get feedback. (Shout out to Berk!!) I have nothing but good things to say about Freemote.

Very happy with what I learn.
What I really appreciate is that mentors review your code if you want. They really put time and effort in it.
Besides that, I like to learn from videos rather than in a class room. I am able to replay the video as often as I want. Aaron and Jan are very good at explaining the technical content. This is a way how to earn money with coding as quick as possible. You can advance from that point.

Just got my first project review from Berk. It was absolutely awesome. This service, in itself, makes it worth the price of admission. I could tell he reviewed my code in detail and had constructive and actionable advice on how to approach and resolve the issues I was having. Thanks Berk!

The learning content/process is really well thought out. The method of critique execution was excellent, it exceeded my expectation for the method of how it was delivered. I'm glad I decided to join Freemote.

I love this bootcamp it is really something special i feel like part of team and really excited to keep learning and grow in freelance world. Tutors are incredible kind and helpful. All materials are clear and well written. So far i did not have any questionable thoughts about this bootcamp. It is big help to achieve my dream.

I originally found Freemote while viewing a youtube video and after checking out what is offered in the program I enrolled in their Freelancer course. Right from the start, the team has shown interest in my success and by helping me to achieve my goal as a web developer. The assistance is in the form of almost real time tech support while working web page projects, high quality instructional videos/development projects, weekly Zoom calls, and very constructive code reviews. I appreciate the Zoom calls as I can chat with fellow students from around the world about various software development and business subjects. It is apparent there has been a lot of work put into each instructional section and top notch mentorship by people who have years of industry experience. Thank you Freemote!

I have been doing Freemote for 3 weeks now off and on and just got through week one. Aaron and his team are great teachers and ensure that you are taken care of during the program. I believe this is worth the money and I enjoy learning this course and hope to use it in the real world to quit my day job. Thanks freemote for giving me hope to be able to work from home and spend more time with my kids.

The feedback I received was incredibly helpful in my learning process I feel because Berk went through my code and listed the minor issues I had that could help clean up my work and he also did an excellent job in answering the questions I had about coding.

After seeing the video response I definitely feel more confident in asking for help when I need it because just this one single question I had answered for me helped me visualize how to make my next project better.

I started the Freemote exactly two weeks ago today (Nov 1). There are way too many positives to mention in a short review, so I'll just pick a few.

First, the people. Aaron and Jan are the instructors, and I've had contact with two of the mentors, Kaido and Berk. They. Are. All. Fantastic! Each one of them. Caring, knowledgeable, and to the point. I've also benefited from reading other students' comments and responses. One of the best things about Freemote, I think, is that support continues beyond the end of the 7 week curriculum!

Second, the content. I'm part way through week 2 (Shopify), and the lessons so far are focused and very information dense. As such, the videos are worth watching multiple times. But the best part about the the HTML/CSS section is my growing sense of confidence as I work through the exercises and projects!

Third, the premise. The point is to get students start earning within weeks of the program. So that means not teaching everything there is to know about a certain topic, but what a developer needs to know to bring value to the client. This efficiency is very attractive to me, and necessary given my current life circumstances. I am not quite at the freelancing stage yet, but I can see how Freemote will deliver!

I love the course and the group of people are super helpful. What is annoying is how we watch the videos and do our code word for word like Aaron does, but sometimes things don't work. When we ask and get a reply it's like some things were left out of the code in the instructions, or we are told to do something different than what was in the presentation. Other than that so far I love this course and all the support that comes with it.

I am new to FreeMote but what I can tell you is this.
The course curriculum is outstanding so far. Their community support is excellent and they really seem to care about everyone freelancing or obtaining a job as a career. The price is very steep next to Skillshare and Udemy, but drastically less expensive than a University or certain other boot-camp programs. If it pays off, it will be well worth it many thousands of times over!

Just finished a week 1 of the course and the overall experience was amazing. First I was hesitant with paying $1500 for a course, but so far it is definitely money well spent... Will update the rating once I'm done with the bootcamp

I am a Freemote student. In the beginning I was hesitating to take this bootcamp and was planning to take other expensive bootcamps. Now I am sure for 100% that I made the best decision. In Freemote you get great support which is the most important thing. A lot of challenging projects which give you great experience. I'm very grateful to Aron Kaido and Berk.

I have been learning to code on and off for fun for the past couple of years. It wasn't till recently I had a light bulb moment and realized that I could do this as a career. I started self study pretty diligently in September and after some research I stumbled on Freemote. I loved the idea that you can earn while you learn, as I best under pressure and hands on experience for things to become engrained. The price point is great compared to other bootcamps, which did discourage me from diving in sooner. I work full time with a family and 2 kiddos so taking 3-6 months off for 8 hours days wasn't going to happen anytime soon. The model Freemote built is great and I'm able to work at my own pace with lifetime access which is huge.

They also offer webinar meet ups on Saturday's which are cool to be a part of and listen to others further on in the program. Jan does a great job keeping people engaged and explains topics very clearly.

I feel like the curriculum is laid out efficiently and I loved how up front they are about realistic expectations. You need to put the work in to be successful. One of the things that blew me away was the custom video feedback. I expected it to be 1-2 minutes long at most but was over 10 minutes, answering all my questions about code and professional concepts. It was awesome to get feedback so quickly after sending a project in, and the feedback was well delivered and insanely helpful to let me know how I was doing thus far. Thank you Berk! If you are serious about learning to code, Freemote is a great community to be apart of.

So far, so good. I'm barely finishing week 1, but excited to see what more there is to learn.

After spending years on a career path that I thought I loved, I found myself in a job that had a gaslighting, verbally abusive boss with no prospects of moving forward or to a different position. I began a long process of teaching myself coding since I couldn’t afford one of those pricey bootcamps.

A Freemote ad came up on Instagram after one hard day at work and a disappointing night trying to learn basic JavaScript. The way in which Aaron presented the course in the promotional video was very engaging. Looking into more of the details of the program the aspects that stood out to me were:

The way that Aaron and Jan teach the content is exactly what I needed. They teach the concepts, provide exercises, strategies to complete exercises, and then a walkthrough of how the exercise could be completed.

This course has allowed me to leave my awful job and land clients through direct freelancing and through UpWork. The course has transformed my work life and has allowed me to do something that I really enjoy doing with the freedom to spend time with my family.

I have always had an interest in coding but knew nothing about it. I like how they keep it as simple as possible. Being a mom of 3 this is the best way for me so I can focus on stuff I will use and need without the unnecessary stuff dragging me down. I’m grateful for this as an option to start a new career path. I’m almost done with my first week. It’s taken me a little longer then I expected to get the understanding of the basics but now I feel I have a better grip on it. The videos are very helpful and I’m very appreciative of the feedback videos from questions I have. I also like that there is a Facebook group to go to for any questions and answers. I have found that very helpful as well. The Freemote family is awesome and am glad I have a chance to learn and grow from their instruction.
