I got cancer in 2018 and the NHS…
I got cancer in 2018 and the NHS consultants use a tool breastDOTpredictDOTcamFORWARDSLASHtool to predict outcomes based on allthe records of NHS. I was told I had 7% of being alive in 10 years and 1% in 15 years.
7 years later I found a lump. I went to the hospital and they found cancer via biopsies in this lump and in my lymph nodes. Over the next two weeks I got a line of 4 lumps on my collarbone, another two lumps in the skin in my solar plexus.
At this point I decided to get my life ready for terminal illness. I was going full doula myself. I contacted this organisation for support through this proccess & transition. I was getting all the jobs done before the cancer started affecting my obyd organs & physical strength. The doula came to my house and was gaslighting me saying I was jumping the gun just like everyone else. I just got the feeling she saw me as being over the top...In spite of the fact that the primary in 2018 grew from 1cm to 8cm in 4 weeks (told her this twice). As far as I was concerned I had 4 weeks to do this preparation & I wanted to do it with eol-doula.
Now it is 4 weeks after the initial biopsies & I have been told its in my liver. I do not believe that I should have waiting until it was in my liver to do the preparations & I do not believe that a Doula should abandon someone awaiting scan results when all the NHS data is so powerfully suggesting fast growth and death is strong likelyhood for someone with my stats & history.
The cancer is also in my bones. I have been in queues for scans for 4 weeks now & the stats from metastacising cancer into the liver are that lifespan is 4 to 8 months without treatment. I am 1 month without treatment and now in a queue to see an oncologist that is 2 weeks long. I needed that doula & she threw me away like yesterdays trash.
