I am giving emoneyusa 3 stars only because your chat agents have different information than your actual agents. I have chatted with Holly and Ashley and they have always said no you're not eligible to refinance your loan. Minutes later I'm on the line with either Serinna or Richard refinancing the very loan the chat agents just said I'm not eligible to refinance. Serinna and Richard are my MVPs!! They get 5 stars.

Worst company ever to do business with
Worst company ever to do business with. They prey on those with bad credit. Weasels cannot even do their own collections! They send it to an outside agency who then tries to collect 4 times that amount. The outside agency will call multiple times and threaten and harass you.
Beware of eMoney. Use only as a last resort.
Emoney responded saying that the amount owed was not $4,000. They probably should check with their fabulous collection agency to find out where that additional $3,000 is going that they are trying to collect from me. Emoney has definitely not reached out to me as many times as they said. What a way to stretch the truth. I would've recorded the call with collection agency if it had been legal. What a nasty company to ever deal with. So unprofessional with their threats. Unable to work with me on a payment plan.

Before your complaints were posted on WalletHub, TrustPilot, and Google, we had already attempted to contact you 12 times prior to the sale of your defaulted loan to a collection company. In the past week, after receiving your recent complaints, we again attempted to reach you by phone, text, and email — including calls and messages on 9/5/25 at 9:00 a.m., and on 9/8/25 at both 12:00 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. CT. On multiple occasions, your voicemail was full and we were unable to leave a message. We also sent you an email and text to make sure you received it.
Your claim that the balance is 3–4 times the original loan amount is not accurate. We have confirmed directly with the collection company that the balance being pursued is the actual defaulted amount. If you have a voicemail or email that says otherwise, we can assist you.
For your reference, you obtained an installment loan on October 2, 2024, and defaulted before repaying the full balance. Prior to transferring the account, we made repeated attempts to work with you directly between November 26, 2024, and February 5, 2025. These efforts demonstrate that eMoneyUSA does manage its own collections before any account is sold.
We encourage you to contact our supervisor, Jessica, at 866-986-3696. She is available to assist you and is happy to help coordinate with the collection company toward a fair and manageable resolution.
