Le agradezco a la persona que me ayudó en este proceso ella se llama Erika Quiroz agradezco el tiempo y sobre todo su forma de explicar cómo es este proceso, me gustó la amabilidad que tiene para dirigirse a las personas y sobre todo por que habla español, recomiendo 100% ya que aquí te ayudan para ahorrar para los estudios de nuestros hijos y futuros hijos me siento muy agradecida con Erika Quiroz que se dio el tiempo de explicarme paso a paso y sobre todo por tener esa amabilidad y paciencia.

Embark is a great way to save for your child's education and they are very responsive when you have questions.

After reading all the comments I now understand and conclude that this company is a scam. When I had my son 6 years ago, one of their agents hounded me for an appointment to open the account even after asking her severally to give me time. After so many calls I finally agreed. Little did I know that it’s because they want to take advantage of My vulnerable postpartum stage and sell me rubbish!!. NEVER was I informed of the Advisor fees or percentage commission to be charged or any form of transfer fees. I was sold BS in total especially as they saw that I was a young single mother, an international student who knew nothing and had no one to advise me better. So I finally opened the account and started contributing to it. Then it started, the agent had spelt my son’s name incorrectly and had my DOB wrong and my son did not receive grants for the longest time. I was only informed of this a year after and asked to correct the forms. Fast forward to 3 years later, I had an emergency and needed to withdraw the contributions, then they hit me with the news: $1600 would be deducted for commission to the Advisor LOL. I was livid! I yelled, called severally and asked for a manager/Supervisor and all they kept saying was they are sure the agent must have told me. Mind you I work for an investment firm and know all about commissions and trailer fees and if it was mentioned, I would have rejected the offer especially since the percentage was SOSO high. All the phone calls ended in nothing and they all said there was nothing they could do. I left the account open and stopped contributing. 3 years after this incident I decided to start contributing to this RESP but with a different provider so I filled out transfer forms and the provider sends them to Embark. Today I got a call from them asking why I wanted to transfer my account and I said I wanted all my accounts in the same firm and the lady goes “you will have to pay $200 for transfer fees since you don’t have any contributions left or you can keep the account with us and just open a new one for your child with the other firm and start contributing.” Again this was never mentioned to me. So Embark wants to comfortably take away $1800 from me and didn’t care to outline it at the time of the account opening! THIEVES!!! Is it by force to keep an account with you guys? I don’t want to anymore. I don’t mind paying transfer fees but shouldn’t I be informed and given clear picture of what I’m getting into? These people will blindsight you and gaslight you for allowing them to blindsight you. I will NEVER I REPEAT NEVER Invest or let anyone I know invest with you guys and I will be posting and tagging you guys on all social media platforms. Since you have decided to force me to being your client I will make sure I tell everyone who cares to listen my side of the story and how TERRIBLE THIS FIRM IS !!!!!

For years now I have been informing this company someone stole my email address and registered an account with them using my credentials. I have told them a million times to remove the email address and they never do. I get spam emails from them constantly about someone else who I have no connection with.

India was a wealth of knowledge and incredibly kind! She made the experience so easy and enjoyable. I learnt so much in the hour we spent on zoom with eachother. It was so nice to have a face to face interaction and she was so patient with me while I dealt with my little.

When Embark acquired knowledge First Financial, we decided to transfer our daughters RESP to our bank. We started this process about 10 months ago. Embark keep using delay tactics, wrong documents, ignoring calls to prevent the transfer.

I have been in contact with your organization so has my bank but we just get stalled. Can you give me a contact to call?

J’ai été confronté à changer mon REEE pour un REEI du au diagnostic de ma fille pour me rendre Compte quand la personne m’a expliqué cette compagnie m’a jamais parler des frais pris au début 4750$ avant même de cotiser pour ma fille….. il ont pris chaque mois un montant que j’étais au courant pour la Gestion mais jamais un Montant proche de 5000$ pour l’ouverture du Compte!!!!
Résultat ma fille a perdue plus de 5000$ car la femme n’a parlé de ce frais jamais je l’aurais inscrit à ce régime avoir sus cette donner au début!!!!!!!!!

Focus, experience and knowledge

Use yourown bank. They take fees for everything. When I requested to transfer out, I was told it takes 45 business days to transfer funds. Holding the funds hostage essentially. Nothing in the world take 45 days to transfer.
