We booked Midlands Parking Meet & Greet at East Midlands Airport through APH for a family holiday. We were travelling with two young children and paid for meet and greet so the car would be returned to us properly when we landed.
The service was a shambles from start to finish. The booking confirmation told us not to rely on sat nav and to use their written directions, then directed us via M1 J23a. For our route, Junction 24 was the correct exit, so this sent us miles out of our way before the holiday had even started.
The return was worse. I told them at handover that the car had a Ghost immobiliser and left written instructions in the vehicle. When we returned in the early hours, staff claimed the car had a flat battery and could not start it. That was completely wrong.
We were left trying to contact them repeatedly, and the phone was put down on us several times while we were standing around in the early hours with two young children. The call log shows repeated contact with their number over about half an hour. It was appalling customer service.
My wife then had to be taken away from me and our two young children in the middle of the night by two staff members to retrieve the car herself. She started it first time, proving there was no flat battery issue. She then had to come back and collect us.
It was Father’s Day and I’d had a drink on holiday, so it was my wife’s turn to drive — not that this should matter. We paid for a meet and greet service. Neither of us should have been expected to recover the car from their car park because their staff failed to follow instructions.
Midlands Parking later admitted in writing that the night staff were unaware of the immobiliser and that the collection driver did not make a note of it. So the issue was not my car. It was their process and staff communication failing.
Despite admitting that, they offered only 25% back and then refused anything further. Their complaint replies were anonymous, dismissive and failed to properly answer my safety and insurance concerns about the vehicle used to transport my wife.
In my opinion, this was not a properly delivered meet and greet service. It was stressful, unsafe in principle, and completely unacceptable. I would never use them again.

I made a momentous mistake in hastily picking this cowboy outfit when I meant to book with EMA’s genuine Meet & Greet service which I have used before to my complete satisfaction.
On arrival at 05.30 hrs I was turned away from the genuine M&G parking area and diverted to the Midlands Parking outfit next door on the Short Stay 1 site where 2 of their staff emerged from out of the darkness.
They went through the extra £12 routine mentioned in other reviews.
I left the car with them at around 05.45 hrs and off I went to Spain where I made a check on my car through
the Toyota App to find that the car had been parked with a window open at 06.27 hrs. I was not responsible for leaving the window open.
After a number of phone calls that evening I managed to get hold of a staff member who agreed to send someone to rectify their mistake . They eventually responded by stating that they had only left the window open about 10% of its full travel and none of the rain that day had made any ingress whatsoever.
I returned this afternoon some 3 days later to collect my car only to find that the front passenger seat was wet and the air conditioning had been set to 29 deg and the seat heating had been set to it high setting. I went to the boot to get a towel for my wife to sit on. I found two wet towels that had obviously been used in a vain attempt to dry the seat. Additionally a water bottle that had been left full and sealed in the cup holder had been moved onto the wet seat and left to half drain on the seat in question.
All can say is that I am angry not only at their initial incompetence by leaving the window open in the first place but also at their decidedly shifty actions in trying to cover up the truth of the matter.
Needless to say I will never use this firm again and hope that other vehicle owners learn from my experience.
When returning to collect the car, tyre was damaged
When returning to collect the car, the tyre was flat, on further investigation it had a split on the inside just above the rim. They refuse to take responsibility for this. Will not use them again

absolute rip off company, paid over the odds on APH to have meet and greet ended up costing and extra £12 as this is not an official airport parking company, the owner Tariq Wasi has had several of these companies all racking up issues then going bust, they literally left my car on the HS2 car park 100 yds away from the airport where my car got completely covered in brick/concrete dust ... do not trust these they need to be on rip off britain !!!
Was my car left in a builders yard next to bags of cement?
First of all the hidden expense of having to pay an extra £6 at the pick up point on entry and departure, I was told by the driver to look at the very bottom of the small print of the terms and conditions, this should be made more clear when you book the “service” as other more expensive options would then appear more appealing.
I take pride in my car and had cleaned my car both inside out the day before I flew out of East Midlands airport I had gone on a three day golfing break to Portugal the state of my car on return left me exasperated as it looked a different colour due to being covered in a grey cement like dust, I asked the driver what they had done to my car but his English wasn’t the best and he walked off without carrying out any kind of inspection of my car for damage in transit etc. when I opened the drivers door the grey dust extended into the drivers cockpit with the seat, steering wheel, door panel and floor mats coated in the grey dust, it appeared that no attempt had been made to cover the seat and the driver had obviously not cleaned his hands before driving my vehicle.
I called their office to complain only to be spoken to in a rude manor and the phone put down on me, I wish I had read the reviews about this company beforehand because they are not very good and to be honest as I have to drive to an airport and leave my car it’s put me off flying from East Midlands airport in future.

I can understand that the driver's seat would be moved. However, allowing someone who is unfamiliar with the vehicle's safety features and instruments to manipulate them is surely dangerous to the driver and passengers.
meet n greet east mids airport
we used the meet n greet option at east midlands airport having a high value car M5 i wanted to leave it with a company i could trust as my friend had recently used them and said they was good, very easy guy on phone on arrival, was extremely polite, and the guys in the office the same, will use this service again very convenient, it always makes a difference when service workers are like this and care about there job, a testament to who ever trained them thanks great experience.

This is for Midlands parking meet and greet non flex.
Having booked their meet and greet service, which when booking, the price looked very competitive, what you have to be aware of, and is not obvious when booking, the meet and greet is located in short stay car park 1, so you end up having to pay £6 on arrival, and £6 exit fee when you come to collect, the meet and greet company only meet you in the car park, then drive your car somewhere else.
Lost Keys
Having a nightmare with this company ,they lost my keys for my vehicle and told me to get a taxi home and i would be fully reimbursed for the new set of keys as well but had no correspondence off them at all ,sent numerous emails ,nothing!!
They seem to just ignore your messages and think you will go away .Having to seek legal advice on situation so please be mindful of this when booking .
An absolute disgrace to be honest ,don’t know if they have been using my vehicle whilst I’m away as they haven’t offered an explanation at all.
You would think that they would be straight on it getting you all settled and sorted financially
Pathetic Customer Service
Registered for rapid drop off & payment but ended up paying in addition to the automated credit card link I had set up, tried contacting them by phone only to be told “unable to connect my call”, tried email but got an “undelivered response” Absolute disgrace For what is supposed to be a new system. Don’t bother with pre registration, just pay on line within the allocated time.

They never turned and cost us a lot of money!
Booked in advance and followed their instructions . When we rang to arrange pick up nobody answered it went straight to voicemail. There were 4 other customers waiting in the car park who had all used the same company, all waiting pick up but nobody answered the phone and came. After waiting 30 minutes in short stay we had to leave and pay the premium price for parking last minute onsite at EMA.
No so cheap parking at £345 for 2 weeks plus the £70 paid to EMA parking.co.uk and the £6 short stay car park price. We spoke to airport staff who asked who we had booked with. They told us this is a regular occurrence and the company was operating illegally off their site. All in all a stressful experience and would definitely recommend you avoid booking with this company.
We did receive a refund from emaparking.co.uk which was for the £70 paid.
It still cost us £281 more than we had planned for as they failed to provide the service paid for.

No sure if this is a scam when we got to an on-site car park and pushed the help button the person told us they get numerous complaints about East Midlands parking meet and greet.
Would not recommend and would never use again, cause a lot of stress and expense.
