I purchased an item that the seller delivered to my house. eBay charged postage which I paid but wouldn't return it to me. There AI powered chat bot simply sends you round in circles. eBay' phone lines are "manned" by robots too.

Tried to return an item but the only option was for me to close the item down thought I would then be able to re open it but Michael said no you need to reach out before .
I tried to go back before closing but there was no other option nor to contact the support . But Michael told me touch u need ed to reach out .
Customer service he needs to be re trained he doesnt know how to talk to people in any way .
But said I xould try selling the item on ebay

I got no help at all from their help line. 'Someone will ring you back' they told me - 5 times.
No help at all and so completely useless.

Ebay refused to refund me. They said the item was delivered. I don't trust Evri so I make a point of getting items delivered to my Post Office! The post office did not receive it but eBay won't investigate and basically accuse me of being a liar. eBay are as crooked as Evri. Sad to say they are not fit for purpose and using them is a miserable experience

Trading standards really need to step in with how appalling E-bay is now. So many counterfeit books being sold from India and nothing being done to stop it. I also recently ordered a bag, it was delivered to wrong address but because they had proof of delivery nothing was done, even though it was clearly not my address in the photo. They clearly don't care about the negative reviews on here either.

Very disappointing customer service.

I purchased a delicate silk dress through eBay’s mandatory authentication process. It arrived badly creased and crumpled in a bag, despite the seller confirming that they had steamed it and carefully packaged it before dispatch. The seller also told me this was the second complaint they had received recently about items arriving creased after authentication.

My issue was with eBay’s handling of the garment, not the seller, yet I spent numerous emails being repeatedly told to open a case against the seller and ask them for a refund. Only after considerable back and forth was I finally told that eBay would not offer a partial refund for creasing.

I asked for the matter to be escalated to management, but was simply directed back to the same customer service route I had already used. My complaint was apparently “logged”, but I could not get it properly escalated.

The issue itself was disappointing, but the way eBay handled my complaint was considerably worse. I expected much better customer service.

I wish I could leave a zero star review
When everything goes well you might think eBay are a great company but when the purchase doesn’t arrive they do next to nothing to help, they offer a money back guarantee but it’s just empty words they do nothing and you’re left without your purchase and out of pocket and you waste days and weeks in the process

Contacting the pseudo customer support from eBay: "An agent will be with you in 13 minutes. Is that OK?"
After 30 minutes with no answer at all, a possible solution is offered: "Sellect an option to continue". Option offered: "Leave the queue".
eBay should be ashmed of this! Misleading customers to avoid helping them!

I want to contact customer service and all I get is automated selections or AI that don't work, I cannot speak with anyone about an issue that is not on their list, this service is so useless that I will most likely put all my future online purchases through Amazon, at least they talk to you rather than avoid you, well done Ebay, you've finally broken everything

Ebay allow sellers to sell counterfeit goods I bought a Shimano derailleur. When it arrived it was obversely a counterfeit product as Shimano don't use bolt heads on the tracking wheels rather they use Allen bolts. Reported to Ebay and they said there was nothing wrong with the listing. I am goping to close my account I have had enough of them biased pro sellers over buyers.

staff at ebay now want me to sign in 3-4 times before i can send an item return ....two faced site run by idiots

Ebay does not put enough care into weeding out sellers of fake dog supplements. Dozens of sellers at any one time selling fake Yumove tablets. Many of the sellers have received multiple negative feedbacks by concerned buyers, and the listings are still active. Ebay just wants the money, it does not care about your pets. It seems that on Ebay, if its cheap, then it's fake.

There is no customer service from ebay.....they have sold themselves out....all they care about now is the sellers...they couldn't give 2 shits about the customers now....will never use them again after they sort out my refund for item not being delivered...which they probably won't be able to do.....EBAY are 💩

EBay helps scammers to sell on their platform If you think your purchase is guaranteed THINK AGAIN
EBay will not part with any monies to help a buyer recover. The only way is through charge back from a bank.
EBay delays and delays as long as possible in their resolution system. Contact with customer service is ridiculously impossible.
Buyers need to be aware of scams that is going on and hopefully government regulations could close them down. This platform is hot spot for scammers

eBay illegally and knowingly manipulates feedback by removing genuine buyers' experience. Their own policies are entirely false-interpreted and misapplied to suit them.

Gruesome practices.

I made a complaint about a lying buyer who tried to con me and now my account is on hold and they will not process £ for items I have sold until I release copies of my driving licence or passport. Seriously this isn’t ML its punishment for pointing out an issue!

Been a customer for many years all was well.

Since covid its gone to the dogs.

My last sale wife's leather jacket in mint condition sold £15 one bid no longer an auction, its a buying snipers home.

Round it off haven't received the £15 from the sale, their complaint ai sent me in continual circle with no answers.

I wrote to their London office customer service, NO RESPONSE.

ive been a user for 17yrs but now i look at temu,aliexpress and avoid ebay.they have let sellers from china take over ebay so i might aswell buy direct from china and cut out ebays commission,ebay does not listen to customer complaints or just ignore them.ebay was once my preferred shop to go to but now is my last resort.they will lose so many customers they will have to stop and it serves them right.customer service no longer exists on ebay its only focus is profit and this will be their downfall.
