Extremely poor service at the security…
Extremely poor service at the security tray drop-off in T2. At 19:44, the staff member working there was unnecessarily and overly rude to everyone. He failed to give clear instructions and then had the audacity to blame the passengers for the resulting confusion.
Mobility assistance at Dublin Airport
Travelled with my elderly mum recently and had booked mobility assistance. Have to say they were excellent! From the young lady who collected mum in the wheelchair and getting us through dropping off the bags and getting through security to the guys driving us to the airplane itself, they were outstanding and made what could have been a difficult journey a pleasure. Thank you all so much and you should be so proud of yourselves for the excellent work you do. You were all a credit to the Mobility Assistance crew
One star away too high for this hole of…
One star away too high for this hole of a place. About as peaceful as an Hiroshima emergency evacuation. Not a working charger to be seen in the entire place. And prices that would make my tight Glaswegian Nan turn in her grave. If I was Irish I’d be embarrassed.
If I could place a negative number I would
If I could give it a negative number I would. Horrible experience. It’s doubtful I will ever use this airport again. I’ll pay the extra money to be treated like a paying customer at another airport in Ireland. After several delays with the airline, a 10-hour flight and a full plane of passengers, our entranceway doors to the airport were locked. We were locked out of the main part of Dublin airport TWICE (two separate entranceways). After we forced the doors open at the first entry point, we were locked out again at the next entry point to the main area. The doors had to be pried open by one of the passengers BOTH TIMES. We were very tired and hungry. When we did finally get through we were herded like cattle by very abrupt and rude employees who yelled directions at us like we were animals. It was the worst experience at an airport in my entire life. (I’m 71 and in good shape.) You need to do better as an airport. Shame on you.
Hell
Literally a maze to get to my connected flight, lost my luggage, seems like it's falling apart.
Kind assistance gentleman
We travelled over to Dublin on Friday 10th July and back Sunday 12th. My sister needed assistance travel due to recent knee replacement.
On both occasions at Dublin airport we were assisted by a chap named Brian Skerrit. What a lovely man. So kind and caring to my sister and to myself and daughter. We met him on arrival to Dublin and were delighted to see it was him again on the Sunday on our way home.
If Dublin airport has an employee award for kindness, friendliness and respectfulness this man should receive it.
Shout out to Denise from Customer Care
Shout out to Denise from Customer Care: we were unlucky enough to have a bag taken from the shuttle bus from the car park. While we got helpful information from everyone from security to aer lingus staff it was Denise who liased with the bus drivers; as we dealt with very upset children [teddies were in the bag]; and came to the rescue. 2 hours later the bag was returned and we made the gate in the nick of time. Thanks again Denise.
Really confusing onward travel…
Really confusing onward travel information: we got an Aircoach to the “city centre” but it wasn’t anywhere near where we wanted to go in the centre and only had one city centre stop.

Travelling to London with a broken ankle staff that wheeled me around were super amazing. Thank you all so much.
Always smooth and easy
Always smooth and easy! best airport.
Terminal 1 is grubby
Terminal 1 is grubby, security is slow, food places overpriced and quality poor (in my experience). Signs around security are in Irish (despite only a small fraction of the population speaking Irish). Security screening of people in wheelchairs was excessive. Saw an elderly woman in wheelchair getting visibly distressed with the whole experience. In comparison with other European airlines this airport is shabby, in my opinion a national embarrassment.
Dublin Airport is a Jekyll and Hyde experience
I flew from Dublin to Hartford today. My flight was schedule for 2:10 to land at 4:30pm in Hartford. I got to the airport by an Air coach at 10am. I had already checked in and just needed to print a luggage tag and drop my luggage off. I did that and had my passport verified. I then cleared security quickly. There were many shops, places to eat, restrooms and seating areas around. This is all good with much variety and price points. There is customs pre clearance in Dublin for the US, but is not allowed until your flight is published. They have Global Entry, but it is not publicized ahead of time. I had to divert into the line. Global Entry went very fast, regular did not. After preclearance, there were very few bathrooms. The women's bathroom had three stalls and a longline. There were 10 women in the line, including 2 whose flights were being boarded. A number of us let them go to the front. There were two gates sharing the same limited seating area, and very little food available in that area. The time could be very tight to board your plan if you got stuck in pre clearance lines and/or bathroom lines. In addition, there was not nearly enough seating in the pre clearance gate areas. So it is very nice before preclearance, and awful after it!!

Oversize Bagage Belt backed up/Rude Staff
Oversize Bagage Belt backed up. 'Busy, busy' was all the lad in charge could say. Exaggerated by VIP/ Platinum baggage-boys loading 20 suitcases that could have gone through normal channels. Queue was backed up down the terminal.
At security, there were no trays coming through. Again more unecessary queues. Staff are rude and agressive.
Poor service
Horrendous airport
First time at Dublin airport and in transit from Canada to Manchester. Huge queues at security (dingy lighting and low ceiling made it feel very down at heel, and depressing). Waiting areas for the shuttle buses dirty with tired, and extremely limited, seating. The Gate process was a fiasco. Two staff seemingly incapable of handling the small number of passengers for a turboprop plane - disorganised and late. We'll be giving this a hard pass in future.
DONT BRING DISPOSABLE CAMERAS
DONT BRING DISPOSABLE CAMERAS
Horrible airport experience.
Horrible airport experience.
If Dublin Airport accepts overnight transfer passengers, it should have a process in place for handling them. Instead, we were told we couldn’t remain in the airport, then discovered security was closed and we couldn’t re-enter for hours. That left dozens of travelers stranded with nowhere to go during an overnight layover.
To make matters worse, airport staff were waking up exhausted passengers who had managed to find a spot to rest on chairs or the floor. If there are no sleeping facilities available and passengers are stuck waiting overnight, what exactly are they expected to do?
The lack of information was just as frustrating as the situation itself. There was little guidance about where transfer passengers should go, when security would reopen, or what options were available. The entire experience felt disorganized and poorly planned.
This is many visitors’ first impression of Ireland, and unfortunately it leaves a very poor one. I’ve traveled through plenty of airports, and I’ve never experienced an overnight transfer process this confusing or inconvenient.
If Dublin Airport cannot accommodate transfer passengers after midnight, airlines and the airport need to stop scheduling connections that leave travelers stranded overnight.
One final note: to the café staff waking sleeping passengers, please don’t physically touch people you don’t know. A verbal wake-up is more than sufficient, and the last thing exhausted travelers need is a stranger putting their hands on them.

"I want to commend the OCS special assistance team at Dublin Airport. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They were gentle, kind friendly, and proactiveYoull be lucky if you get Madison from Drogheda she went above and beyond to make my first encounter withOCS comfortable, which made a stressful journey very pleasant. Highly recommended." Tracey.

Airport staff member was incredibly rude once finding out I was Australian, commenting to coworkers that my brain must be upside down and deliberately provoking me to respond aggressively so that they could detain me. He was a middle aged guy with a dark black beard.
