Had a roller door fitted a year ago which cost £1500, then may this year paid £161 for a service which was just spray silicon grease in the channels to validate the warranty.
On the 16th June I phoned for an emergency breakdown as the door came down and when I got the remote to put back up and it rolled all the way up and is stuck up. I was advised the earliest they could get to me was the 29th June I said I needed somebody sooner as anybody could walk into the garage and get to my motorcycle. I was told if I paid £198 they could get to me sooner, I said its a warranty repair and i should not have to pay to get an earlier repair.
Should have come out today but engineer gone sick and would have to wait until this Thursday.
I think it's a rip off that you need a warranty repair and if you want it sooner than the date your give you have to pay.

This company’s reputation and service would appear to have deteriorated badly over the last few years. Like a number of others leaving reviews I have to say the service side has become ‘oppressive’ in the way they chase and especially hit and miss in terms of the value for money when an engineer attends. Very unimpressive.

wanted up and over elderly garage door serviced ,like a fool paid £140 pounds up front which the company insisted on. engineer arrived 8th of April, unable to carry out service as two new spindles required.
nothing heard from them so contacted them 23rd of April part HAD NOT YET BEEN ORDERED .Threatened legal action 30th April engineer returned unable to fit spindles as the wrong ones had been ordered.
18th of May engineer returned fitted correct spindles but now a cable had broken. two cables too be ordered, Contacted by company from South Africa quoted £108 for the two cables. Again threatened legal action and required my money back, then dropped the quote to £84. had no choice but to accept.28th of May cables fitted by engineer. was there for 25minutes. asked what he had done in the way of a service stated there was not a lot that can be done suggested I use silicon spray in the roller tracks
So basically I have been conned into paying £224 for two spindles and two new cables over a period from the 8th of April to the 28th of May.
I will say that the engineer was as frustrated as I was having gone out of his way to photograph the parts needed and supply part numbers and still they got it wrong or didn't bother to order them. I have no complaints with the engineer.

THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CONSTANTLY RINGING ME TO HAVE A SERVICE ON MY DOOR WHEN I DIDNT HAVE THE DOOR INSTALLED WITH THEM!! WHAT PART OF NO DONT YOU UNDERSTAND AND WHAT PART OF I WILL HAVE THE SERVICE DONE WHEN IT IS DUE BY THE COMPANY WHO DID INSTALL MY DOOR!! TOLD THEM TO TAKE ME OFF THEIR CALLING PESTER LIST ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY CANT FIND MY NUMBER OR POSTCODE- WELL HOW CONVENIENT!! NOW BLOCKED AS OBVIOUSLY SCAMMERS!!

Extremely poor after-service and lack of accountability

I had a service carried out by Doormatic in January, during which a fault with my garage door motor was clearly identified. Despite this, no action was taken to progress what should have been a straightforward warranty claim, and no clear guidance was provided on next steps.

The motor completely failed, leaving the door inoperable. This situation could and should have been dealt with months earlier.

What is most concerning is the complete lack of accountability. Rather than taking responsibility or assisting in resolving the issue, the matter has been allowed to drift, leaving me to deal with the manufacturer directly.

I have also been informed from the Manufacture that my attempts to resolve the issue have caused “upset,” with Doormatic which is both surprising and unprofessional given that I am simply trying to address a legitimate fault.

Overall, this reflects a very poor level of customer service and aftercare. I would not recommend Doormatic based on my experience.

Called to say garage door not operating and a light flashing. Told that this couldn't be fixed by resetting so would need to send an engineer. Suggested that the doors need servicing and it would cost £200.00. Engineer turned up and reset and fixed it in approx 7 seconds! This could have been done by phone. When I complained to the engineer (nice guy) he claimed that this happens all the time. £200 already taken from me prior to visit. absolute rip off!

We needed a quote fast to get on order before Christmas, this was achieved the next day, and had our garage doors fitted beginning of February, they left everything clean and tidy and we was so grateful for all the support and the lovely doors fitted.
would recommend. And we will arrange for service with them also.

After sales is awful. Service man turned up, didn’t do anything and I’m left with a door which is in warranty which didn’t work.

Just go somewhere else. To many common issues.

Spent £1,700 on Gar side hinged doors, installed professionally so no issues there, a year later keep receiving annoying calls from the company trying to get to have a door service, its a simple set of doors that do not need servicing, I spent 1700 on them and I don't need to spend another £120 a year on servicing, its not a TV license, its a set of doors, please stop pestering customers for more money, order placed, installation and transaction completed, that should be end of it, no more, please..

Paid £140 for a service. When the technician arrived he told us he could not service the door and in any case two people would be required to carry out a service. Subsequently spoke to the office who told me the door was too old to service and a new door was the only option. So I paid £140 for a sales call. I would suggest that the company should have asked the make and model of the door and then told me a service was not possible. Cannot recommend this company as, at best, their process is flawed, at worst they are taking payment and not delivering the service. They refused to return the fee but offered to discount a new door which given the quoted cost being the highest I received is no compensation whatsoever.

Just received a COLD CALL from 01483 237393 DoormaticGarageDoors. Requesting a service on my garage door - which I don't need!
This is a nuisance call and equivalent to a SCAM call Register on TPS to stop these nuisance calls

I had a Carteck Side Hinged door installed on my garage. The door is fantastic, and everything from the order to the installation and followup to make sure everything was fine several months after the installation was perfect.

Doormatic fitted a roller door. The standard of installation was very poor with a huge gap at the top. I do not recommend this company.

John did a great job in getting our garage opened as the lock was well and truly sealed up.

I have just had an up-and-over garage door installed by Doormatic. I fully recommend them. Their pre-sale, measuring-up, quotation, and fitting services were all very positive. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and informative. The new door looks great.

I paid this disgraceful company to come and fix my garage, this was on the 14th of July. They attended my property on the 24th and I was advised I would receive a quote for repair. In the last 5 weeks I have called them on numerous occasions and been assured I will be contacted back and that I will receive a refund and they have failed to do either. And I still have a broken garage door! Do not deal with these stealing, liars.

Average. Firstly wasn't installed properly. The first guy who came out said nothing wrong and openly mocked me to my face. The manager came out and found the problem which they did fix

Caution on reviews. They give a free service for a good review so reviews might not actively reflect the true service.

Also a service is £130!! Don't even pay that to get the car serviced

Very disappointing service. I’ve paid to ask them to come to fix my door, an engineer came but it was never fixed. I did a follow up email but had no response. Recently my neighbour who installed their door from here too mentioned to me that someone will come to fix their door and encouraged me to call them to fix mine at the same time. Despite I showed the evidence that it was never been fixed, they asked me to paid again. According to them, the person who I emailed back never replied the email and I should have called them instead. Therefore, it was my fault and I have to pay again if I need to get my door fixed.

Doormatic has bought the local company (Shutterspec Thame) that I have used a number of times. Calling the local company number gets you to Doormatic. I wanted some awnings for first floor windows to match existing ones fitted by shutterspec. When the surveyor arrived, he thought he was measuring for ground floor shutters. I had to lend him a ladder to measure up. I was told I would get a quotation in a few days. Despite calling their sales and being promised that Olie would get back to me, I am still waiting.
To sum up:
A disorganised outfit with poor internal communications.
A waste of time.
