Not as good as everyone says
While others praise this platform I have had nothing but issues trying to open an account. It's been almost a week and customer service is appalling. Other than the same copy pasted message I've not gotten anywhere with them.
When I opened the account I just used my every day name, not my legal name (shortened version of my legal middle name). So when i went to open the actual account and had to submit the requested documents to verify my identity there was an issue. I messaged and asked them to change my name to my legal name and I have to praise this part, it was done within an hour.
Thinking everything was good now, I re-uploaded the identity verification documents but after a few hours received an automated notification that there was issue. Not telling me what the issue was, just a link to upload my verification documents. I decided to try a different document instead, but again a notification that there was an issue (no explanation what the issue was) but that I needed to upload the documents. For a 3rd time uploaded verification documents, this time tried a different format (jpg instead of pdf), and lo and behold again there was a message of an issue.
Already frustrated I messaged the team to ask if a human can verify my documents since the automated system keeps coming back with "there is an issue" and I got a simple message back saying "the team is looking into your query and I will be back in touch as soon as I have an update". A full day goes by, no communication so the next morning I decide to send a message. A different person answers this one but with the exact same reply "the team is looking into your query and I will be back in touch as soon as I have an update". I waited 3 days, without any communication, no update or reassurance that it is being looked into and this is what they're doing...just radio silence.
So the following day I messaged and said I'm frustrated with how it's going and the lack of communication and that I'd like to delete my account. And what do you think? Same copy pasted message "the team is looking into your query and I will be back in touch as soon as I have an update".
So while the platform might be amazing to work with (I wouldn't know, I haven't even gotten past opening an account), customer service is not there. Instead of copy pasting the same message, maybe explain what the procedure is, why it's going to take a bit longer or what the customer can or should expect.
I tried deleting my account, it won't let me. I've asked for my account to be deleted, no reply other than the same copy pasted message.
Glad I found this out now because I now don't have to worry about having any money on this platform.

Painfully Slow Customer Service
Customer service through the app is painfully slow, even when dealing with the simplest of requests. I asked for my profile and personal information to be deleted because the app’s own delete function repeatedly returns an error message when I try to do it myself. Days later, and still nothing has been actioned.
The whole process has been incredibly frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. Frankly, I’m glad I didn’t get as far as transferring any funds, as this experience has given me very little confidence in the level of service I could expect going forward.

DODL completed my LISA transfer to allow me to complete on the 3rd July in 2 working days rather than 10. When I escalated it Samuel helped me out and tried to get me the quick turnaround I needed even though it was inside the 10 working day limit.
