DNB Academy Arvostelua 

I am currently completing a music production course with DNB Academy, and I can't speak highly enough of the experience so far. Having produced music many years ago as a self-taught producer, I often found myself starting tracks but struggling to finish them I also wanted to deepen my knowledge of Logic Pro, particularly in areas where it was difficult to find clear and relevant tutorials online.

My mentor, Noopy, has been fantastic throughout the course. He is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and has a real talent for explaining complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand. The one-on-one sessions are tailored to my individual goals and skill level, which has helped me make significant progress and build confidence in my production abilities.

There are heaps of benefits from this course, students receive ongoing access to session recordings, allowing me to revisit lessons whenever I need a refresher. In addition, the group sessions and extensive library of online videos provide even more opportunities to learn and develop.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to improve their music production skills. Whether you're a complete beginner, returning to production after a break, or already at an intermediate level, the course is tailored to meet your needs. I've been producing electronic music for over 13 years, but I can't compare the progress I made in the first 12 to one year of intense studying with DnB academy. I was mentored by Jon Tho and he brought my music to a professional level.

My experience on the DNB Academy was amazing! My personal mentor Jon was very knowledgeable and great to work with. I learned so many things I didn’t know and released my song ‘Slipping Away’ with confidence by the end of the course.

I've been on the course for nearly a year now and i'm starting to think it was the best decision i ever made. I've always loved music, all sorts but none as much as drum and bass. Bass design and learning how to create art in a daw is something i never thought i could do and my tutor Noopy who uses the same DAW as me (Logic), helped me to understand all the parts i didn't understand before.

All the tutors have been amazing in helping me progress my sound design and song structure skill. I originally went into this with a music performance degree and i already had some music knowledge but computers weren't my specialty and after a year i'm having the most fun i've ever had making music.

I get to hear unreleased music from other drum and bass students, i can show my own work and get valuable feedback and professional second opinions hearing critique on my own tunes and others which helped me learn the language of production.

I look forward to seeing what i can do with all this new knowledge as my life continues as the learning is still ongoing. But i am absolutely loving it!

I’m a total beginner in music production, doing the mentorship program, and I’m really enjoying it so far. Even with no previous experience, I’m very happy with my progression and what I’m learning. Apart from the videos and guidance from my mentor, I’ve been spending hours studying on my own because I just love the process. Noopy explains everything so well, and the tailored lessons fit my needs and current knowledge perfectly. I'm really enjoying the ride and can't wait to see where this journey takes me!

Basscamp 2026 was an amazing experience.

One of the biggest benefits of DNB Academy for me is having access to mentors who are always willing to help. So often I’ve spent hours searching for answers on my own, only to get a clear explanation from a mentor in a few minutes. That alone has saved me so much time and helped me improve much faster.

The community is also a huge part of what makes it special. Being surrounded by motivated producers who genuinely support each other keeps me inspired and focused. I’ve made great friends, valuable connections, and learned a lot from both the mentors and other students.

Basscamp was the perfect opportunity to take that even further. A whole week of learning, sharing ideas, collaborating, and talking about music with talented people from around the world was incredibly inspiring.

Since joining DNB Academy, I feel more motivated, more confident, and much more fulfilled as an artist. I’m excited to keep growing and see where this journey takes me.

DNBA is a one of a kind platform that offers high quality education for DNB, but is applicable to all genres. Between all the tutors, ground is covered in every area of production. The people behind the academy are accommodating and down to earth, they’re integrated into the community of students they’ve built and are interactive throughout the mentorship and discord. I would say you couldn’t put a price on what these guys offer, particularly on the peers and teachers you gain by default. These guys have nurtured some serious talent and I’m sure will continue to do so. They’ve helped me develop a lot. My experience at basscamp is something I’ll never forget and will carry with me into my creative life, what a unique and productive experience (you grow drastically as an artist in this short space of time). I have now completed my mentorship program about a year ago. I managed to schedule my 1-2-1 sessions with my mentor to match my availability ( every 2 weeks on average) The use of an online calendar makes it very flexible and my mentor (Jon) is highly skilled.

Even though the 1-2-1 mentorship is finished, I still have full access to the tutorial videos and the daily Zoom group sessions. During those sessions there is always something to learn from the mentor or the other students.

As a result of this program I managed to release 4 tunes.

I have recently attended the yearly event called “Bass Camp”. It is a gathering of students from all over the world together the mentors in a very cool location, for a whole week. This event brings music production together with the human connection and well being. This was the perfect alchemy for 5 days. Strongly recommend.

Overall, I am really satisfied with the course. If you dedicate time and commit to fire up your laptop on a daily basis then DNB Academy will provide you the tools and knowledge to succeed.

I have been in the DnB Academy for 2 years now, from the mentorship, to their genuine active community, and without a doubt, has taken me in the direction that I always wanted to take and sound.

Even the people around me at my local Scene has noticed clearly my evolution and Progress.

This is my 3rd year of DNB Academy and I’ve had 5 label releases. My music is being played worldwide now. 181,000 streams last year with healthy repeat monthly listeners. Not bad for a newcomer!

Before this, I tried every other program, course, YouTube video etc and for a genre as technical as drum and bass, there is no better option. And I don’t think anything can compare. This is run by producers who are established and know the industry. They even connected me with labels!

I’ve had a stellar experience and apart from the education, the community is bloody amazing.

If you are really serious about production, don’t think twice. Go for it!

This is my first time using a DAW! you should be holding my hand, not doing 5 things without explanation. grand old waste of money. they also create new accounts on reddit and post fake reviews

Been in the mentorship for around a year now and it’s completely changed how I approach making music. I’ve played music most of my life, did some formal study too, but nothing has helped my production like DNB Academy.

Seriously, I'm just glad this program exists. 10/10. Since day 1 I've felt like my coach Noopy and the rest of the team cares about my music and my results. I can’t wait to link up with everyone at Basscamp next month.

If you’re serious about learning drum & bass, this is a no‑brainer.

I purchased the bundle that includes the masterclass and access to the Vault. The platform itself is well built and contains genuinely valuable content, so there is definitely quality there. However, it comes at a significant cost.

I’m not a complete beginner in music production, but I am relatively new to drum and bass, so my goal was to gain more technical knowledge in this specific genre. I also had a consultation to explore whether progressing into their full program would make sense for me.

The program includes 1:1 sessions with producers, access to a Discord community, the Vault, and additional training. While this sounds comprehensive, the price is very high and, more importantly, the time commitment required didn’t align with my current lifestyle.

For that level of investment, I would suggest considering an alternative approach: reaching out directly to mid-level producers you admire and engaging with them informally first, as asking questions is often free. If needed, you can then arrange 1:1 sessions, which can be more cost-effective, flexible, and tailored to your specific needs.

The program strongly emphasizes teaching a structured “method,” almost like a secret recipe. I can see how this would be very valuable for complete beginners. However, for someone like me, who already has a foundation, I would have preferred more targeted, customised sessions rather than following a predefined process.

I also found the sales approach a bit too pushy. There is a sense of exclusivity in how the program is presented, as if being accepted is a privilege, but it feels more like a sales tactic. At times, the tone comes across as overly assertive, even bordering on arrogant.

My impression is that there is a strong focus on assessing whether you can afford the program, and once that is clear, the narrative shifts towards making you feel “selected.” While this may be part of their sales strategy, it creates unnecessary pressure. Ultimately, you are the one in control of your decision and your money, and it’s important to step back from that pressure and evaluate the offer objectively. I personally found this approach somewhat misleading and not entirely aligned with a transparent sales process.

Overall, there is solid content and a well-designed platform, but the cost, time commitment, and sales approach make it less suitable for those looking for flexibility and a more personalised learning experience.

I'm only 2/3 of the way through with the mentorship program and since joining DNB Academy I can already hear my music coming together faster, with more clarity, and headed towards a professional level.
Every mentorship session I learn something new. We've covered everything from sound design, through mixing, and mastering is coming up soon.
While their instruction and walk through videos are amazing, I've made significantly more progress with their mentorship program. One on one session and, almost, daily group sessions where professional drum and bass artists walk you through their process.
My favorite group sessions are the feedback. I don't always have a track to share, but it's inspiring to hear the work the rest of the mentorship students are working on.
I would highly recommend DNB Academy to anyone looking to take their drum and bass to the next level.

The 1-on-1 sessions were focused precisely on the main aspects that my music was lacking. This helped me to create a solid work flow, develop techniques that are relevant for the style of music I want to make and gain confidence in my own actions, instead of endlessly going through tutorials.

The group sessions are very helpful for getting inspiration about new techniques by seeing how professional producers go around making their music.

Lastly, the discord channel is an endless source of positivity and hype around dnb. It really helps me to stay motivated and excited about making music, since I do not have any producer friends in real life.

The hands on approach to learning drum and bass production is so effective. As somebody with pretty severe ADHD I have troubles watching tutorial videos to level up, but in the DNB Academy getting live feedback for my tracks has been a massive help for my production. The live zoom calls are super informative and the community built around it has been extremely supportive. All those questions I had about sound design are being answered in a highly constructive as well as friendly manner. Can't recommend enough!

Even though I’ve only been part of the Academy for about three weeks, my tracks and understanding of the production process have improved drastically. I’m now able to build drums from scratch that feel uniquely mine and create tracks that flow and stay engaging from start to finish.

And the best part? I’ve only scratched the surface. There’s still so much more to learn—from mastering the finer details of production to understanding the industry itself, growing your fan base, and building a solid reputation. Highly recommended for anyone serious about their DnB journey!

I'd been "producing" for about 6 months before I signed up to the academy. I was just getting stuck in loops and had no sense of what I was up to really, just going off all the conflicting tutorials I could find.

Joining the academy was the best move I could have made. The mentorship program is unreal. My one to one sessions with noopy have been like a light bulb switched on for me. He breaks things down in such a clear and concise way that helps you understand how and why to do things. After just a few sessions, no joke, my production improves 100 times!! His technicality in production is insane.

You also have all the feedback sessions with other mentors which are just amazing for helping you move tracks along. There's always someone ready to help and guide.

The coursework and videos are so detailed and really help with learning to work and think like a pro!!
