I completed my Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer courses with Diverse Trainers and had a great experience. The courses were well-structured, informative, and easy to follow. The coaches were helpful and provided guidance whenever I had questions. I’m happy with the overall experience and would recommend Diverse Trainers to anyone looking to get into the fitness industry!

Tom was an excellent instructor throughout our Level 3 Mat Pilates course. He brought a wealth of additional knowledge from his background in sports science, personal training and sports massage, which really enhanced the learning experience and helped provide a deeper understanding of the theory behind the practice.

He created a relaxed, welcoming environment where everyone felt comfortable and at ease. He explained everything clearly, was patient in his approach, and took the time to reiterate information to ensure everyone had the opportunity to understand and take it on board. His supportive and encouraging manner meant that no one felt uncomfortable asking questions or needing something explained again.

Tom was professional, personable and genuinely approachable, striking a great balance between sharing his expertise and making the learning experience enjoyable. I found the in-person experience during the Level 3 Mat Pilates practical extremely valuable, and his teaching made a real difference to my confidence and understanding.

I recently completed the 5-day Fast Track Mat Pilates course with Kate, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. Kate was an amazing trainer who was knowledgeable, supportive and approachable throughout the course. The online learning system was easy to navigate and the tutor team are great at helping if you need it.

The practical weekend was fun, I got to meet new people & make new friends.

S&C Level 4 - Firstly, the ONLY reason that this isn't a 1 star is down to the customer service that Ellie & Isabelle provide on the phone.

The backlog/staff shortage needs addressing for marking because I've had to call multiple times chasing up work with a different answer each time. The marking itself was inconsistent and I was told my questions didn't meet the "new mark scheme" due to a "system update error" meaning my questions no longer matched despite being enrolled for over a year. Another staff member afterwards said that wasn't true but as the learner, why do I have two stories to contest with?

The system was at times irritating. For example, you submit either a 30 minute video of compound lifts or 3 ten minute videos. No problem there, I chose the latter however there was then a scramble on how to upload the 3 as the system wasn't equipped to deal with more than one. It took 3 staff members to figure it out and send me an additional link.

Then you have the attitude of staff (not all). I think sometimes it gets lost that some of these courses require an incredible level of commitment around full time jobs. Sometimes when you want answers, you're met with resistance and it's just an added stress that's not needed. Fair play to the two I mentioned, hopefully the company doesn't lose them too.

I had a negative experience last time with my level 3 that was down to an individual also so I'm on the fence as to whether I'd use them again but I have to say, I'm once again left disappointed.

My experience was great from the beginning, but then came a slight hicup in the closing stages of my L2 which was very quickly put right by the Diverse Team and a special shout out to Ellie who really made things easier with the patience she had and determination to put things right ! Everyone can make mistakes but its how you correct them is what counts and that's why i am giving these guys a 5 review! Thank you team.

Charisse, my tutor was absolutely amazing at explaining things, made us feel comfortable, and but was also strict when she had to.

Great customer service, everything was explained properly from the beginning even before purchasing the courses I’ve completed.
Staff support was amazing, fast reply on mails/phone.
Personally I advise everyone to choose the in person choice for practical assessment, assessors were great (I did lvl2 gym instructor, lvl3 personal trainer and lvl4 strength and conditioning). Beside those 3 I did lvl4 nutrition for weight management and athletic performance and lvl3 pre/post natal (online version for both).
At the moment thanks to Diverse Trainers team I work as a strength and conditioning coach for CS VALCEA 1924 (ROU) and for Romania’s volleyball squat (boys U17)

Tom is a great instructor delivering the course. He made the course much easier by going straight to the point and gave us whatever he knows about all the techniques and how to make a client get an absolute satisfaction from a sports massage treatment.Much recommended for those who want to upgrade their life skill in this area.

Highly recommend, finished the weekend assessment confident and ready to become a great PT. This was all down to the tutor who was engaging knowledgeable and approachable. Thank you so much.

I did Level 3 Personal Trainer - Highly recommend — did some homework and chose Diverse as a credible, recognised provider. My experience was genuinely great value, with a flexible range of learning methods to suit however you prefer to study. I chose the blended learning route, where you can work through the written and theory elements at a pace and time to fit around my life. The online platform is good and easier to use than some alternative providers I’ve had experience with.

The blended course required a practical weekend, to complete your in-person training and sit the practical assessment live. This was hugely beneficial on many levels as it gives you real experience of being in a gym environment, valuable perspective from a professional, plus the chance to practise through the formative sessions with peers before being assessed. You also get to meet peers, make friends and learn from other participants which makes your learning more real-world. I found it much more valuable than trying to film myself and a client.

Our trainer, Charisse, was exceptional — super personable, welcoming and professional. She explained everything clearly and the expertise and experience she has was invaluable. Stepping into an unfamiliar gym and assessment situation can be daunting but Charisse quickly put the whole group at ease with her friendly manner and this made a real difference. The Diverse Preston gym had a great feel to it, was well equipped, and the family owners made you fit in straight away — if I lived nearer, this would become my gym!

 In all, If you’re thinking about doing this qualification, than my advice is simple: just do it, and use a credible, recognised and proven provider like Diverse. You won’t regret it.

Attended the level 3 and 4 online massage course which has its own challenges being online however Tom on both weekends was great. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about things being done safely and correctly.
He answered all questions and even some technical ones regarding the what course site he would go and find the answer and sort things quickly.
It was very laid back which made being able to chat easier and his models were also lovely and a big help so thank you to all.

Charisse was a great teacher for me, she made me feel welcome and I was able to learn in a way that I could grow and really expand my knowledge in Personal Training and all other knowledge and education I had already accomplished.

Completed my level 4 in person massage weekend with Tom who was a great tutor. Such a fun and educational weekend, definitely worth doing it in person, Tom made sure he went out of his way to teach us all massage skills, demonstrate techniques and speak about his own experiences to help the us all as a group start our own. It was a really fun weekend, would definitely recommend and thank you Tom again!

Update (July 2026): Following this review, Diverse Trainers contacted me, apologised for my experience and offered me a £500 payment together with an additional course in an attempt to resolve the matter. I accepted that offer as originally presented. They later changed the terms, stating that payment would only be made if I agreed to remove my Google and Trustpilot reviews. When I declined to make review removal a condition of settlement, the offer was withdrawn. As matters remain unresolved, I have now sent a formal Letter Before Action. - End of Update.

I paid £1,499 for a Fast Track Diploma with Diverse Trainers and it remains one of the worst training experiences I have ever had.

The tutor delivering most of the course appeared unfamiliar with the course content, assessment requirements, e-learning systems and portfolio process. Students were left confused about what was expected of them, and confidence in the qualification delivery quickly disappeared.

I raised concerns on Day 1. I followed them up on Day 2. I followed them up again on Day 3. Despite repeatedly stressing that this was a five-day intensive course and therefore extremely time-critical, my concerns were not acted upon until halfway through the third day.

Once management finally became involved, the tutor was removed from the course almost immediately and replaced.

Shockingly, the replacement tutor informed us that a significant amount of coursework completed under the previous tutor's supervision was incorrect and needed to be rewritten shortly before the final assessment. Three days of a five-day course had effectively been wasted.

Despite this, Diverse Trainers refused to offer any refund whatsoever. Their position was that because students ultimately passed the qualification, there was no basis for compensation. In my view, that completely ignores the fact that students paid for tuition, expertise and professional delivery, not simply a certificate at the end.

I spent £1,499 on the course, took two weeks off work, paid for accommodation and travel, and then found myself largely teaching myself the material. The company offered me a free Nutrition Course (worth £599), which was irrelevant to me as I was already enrolled on that course at my own expense. Other students on my course were also offered this and some accepted.

What disappointed me most was not the poor tutor. Anyone can make a bad staffing decision. It was the company's refusal to properly acknowledge the impact on paying students after accepting the situation was serious enough to remove the tutor before the course had even finished.

Based on my experience, I would absolutely not recommend Diverse Trainers.

Praises to Emma and Tom, extremely knowledgeable and make learning both fun and easy. The course couldn’t have been any more simple.
