Destiny Scotland Arvostelua

We had a fully paid reservation which we were unable to use due to a serious and unexpected family medical emergency (hospital admission of a close relative).

We contacted the accommodation explaining the situation and providing supporting documentation, but the response was strictly limited to the non-refundable policy, with no flexibility offered at all (no credit, no rescheduling, no partial refund).

We understand booking conditions, but we were very disappointed by the complete lack of empathy in such exceptional circumstances.

This experience left us with a very negative impression of their customer care

Great apartment in a good location in central Edinburgh. Super clean including stairs and landings up to the apartment. Excellent communications before and during our visit. The microwave wasn’t working when we got there but this was sorted very quickly. Brilliant view from windows. Would definitely use Destiny again.

The apartment is a decent size for 2 people and has virtually everything you could need. It's also a good distance from Edinburgh Waverley, so it's quite convenient but still peaceful.
Thank you for a pleasant stay, I look forward to staying here again when I come to Edinburgh!

The apartment was fantastic…. Exactly as the photos showed…. which is very rare in our experience
Quality fittings, loads of crockery, glasses etc and tablets for the dishwasher and washing machine
The housekeeper was very helpful also
An excellent stay…. Thanks very much

Everything was top notch, from initial conversation and booking to check in, the massive spacious apartment (no exaggeration) which was wonderful and spotlessly clean with all amenities and a mere 5 minute walk to the city centre. OMG perfect......THE place to stay if your visiting Edinburgh 10/10 🫶👍

Destiny Scotland properties are exceptionally clean and well maintained.
All the apartments are in good locations for visiting Edinburgh, and the staff offer efficient and very friendly support.
I highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Edinburgh for a visit.

Great location, immaculately clean and great communications with Destiny Scotland.

We are on our way home from a fabulous weeks stay with Destiny Scotland Hanover Street Superior Studio Apartment.
This is our 2nd time using this fantastic company.
Our room was ready when we arrived to leave our cases at the office which was unbelievable as we arrived at 10.30am
The room was beautiful, spotless and there is everything you could ever need and more for a stay there right down to washing liquid/cloths and toiletries.
I used the WhatsApp chat to ask a couple of things and Maria was lovely, kind, professional, knowledgeable member of the team.
I enquired about keeping my room on for an hour and I had a message soon after asking to say my room had been extended for an hour which tied in beautifully with our train time.
I can’t say enough good about my experience with this company from start to finish.
Their staff are 2nd to none and all have the same amazing attributes I’m pleased to say.
I 100% recommend Destiny Scotland to anyone lookin to stay in Edinburgh.
Thank you to each and every one of you that work so hard to keep Destiny Scotland the absolute best place to stay in Edinburgh.
Will definitely be back next year.

Stayed in Destiny Scotland Malt House apartment no 9 in January 2026. Great location for exploring Edinburgh, being within walking distance to most of the popular tourist attractions.

Apartment was very basic eg plastic dining chairs and freeview TV. Plates, cups and bowls were very scraped/worn and in need of replacement. Large plates didn’t fit in dishwasher. Bathroom looked modern but had a definite odour around the WC. Bathroom basin didn’t drain the water away properly and we had to use tweezers to clear out the hair that was causing the blockage - probably a build up over several weeks/months and not cleaned properly. Decent supply of hand/body wash, shampoo and conditioner in bathroom.

All rooms had self closing doors that banged shut. Temperature was inconsistent around the apartment because the thermostat was in the hallway. Often the living area was cold while the hallway was hot.

Bed mattresses were uncomfortable. Bedside lamps were weak and only really highlighted the dust particles in the room.

Great place to stay, and well organised.

Had a lovely stay at destiny scotland apartments in Market St Edinburgh very clean central for all the attractions you have Princes st on one side and Royal mile on the other side great Location

The reviews of this place must be fake; it's not that good.

15euro (per night!) for an extra quilt for the bed even though you have booked for extra people.
The built-in bathroom fan was really bad; we had water and moist in the entire apartment for hours after a shower. Don't leave makeup in the bathroom, all your powderproducts will be ruined. The doorframes are rotting up due to the moist.

There is no dishbrush, and the pan is to big for the dishwasher.

We loved our stay at St Andrews square, perfect for our stay in everyway could not fault.

We took a low season (January) break in an enormous and beautifully prepared first floor flat for two, right on Princes Street. Typical of Edinburgh buildings, it had high ceilings and large double-glazed double-aspect windows, with super views over Princes Street gardens and Edinburgh Castle, from the dining area.
The kitchen large, with full size Neff appliances: Dishwasher, Washing machine, Microwave, Fridge Freezer etc, and all sparkling clean. We were particularly pleased to find a Nespresso machine - we do like our morning coffee!

There were 2 televisions, a huge one in the lounge, and a very adequate bedroom TV.

A large bath was complimented with a separate shower, and towel rails that worked really well.
A high tech environment system had finger tip control, and we were always comfortably warm.
The flat was serviced once, mid-week, by discreet and helpful staff.

Quibbles?
No lift, obviously, but not that many stairs to climb.
Some distant night-tram rumble - not really disturbing.

Summary
Great flat, great location, astonishingly good value at about £80 per night!

I cannot recall since it is the 9th or 10th time we are staying in a Destiny Scotland apartment. I think that this tell everything. Both the apartments and the people working there are AMAZING. High quality facilities and response in whatever issue or question arised. Apartments that I would chose to buy if that was possible. A big THANK YOU once again!!!

The apartment was amazing felt just like at home. We have everything available the location was perfect. Felt very safe. We were able to leave our luggages in a secure room and collected them before our train. Thank you so much. Will defo visit again

Le niveau d’équipement et la position centrale, à quelques minutes du tram qui mène à l’aéroport … et la tranquillité du site
