We make fancy pyjamas. But proper ones, you know? Hand-painted prints. Fine cotton. A tuxedo of leisure, if you will. A uniform to celebrate life at home.
They’re the sort of thing that can make everyday pursuits feel a little bit deluxe. We believe that proper pyjamas are to leisure what butter is to toast, a way of turning something quite ordinary into something quite magical.
It all started with women’s pyjamas. Now we make them for men and kids too, plus a handful of other snazzy things for around the home, like slippers, socks, and extra-deluxe robes.
Each collection brings with its prints. Each print is an artwork in its own right, inspired by travel and by life— Spanish palm, Greek myths, graceful tigers—hand-painted in our London studio. They’re printed onto organic cotton, hand-cut and sewn in Portugal. We then wrap them

- We always want our PJs to offer a sense of cosiness and ease, but this year—of all years—we want to take things up a notch. We believe that proper pyjamas are what butter is to toast. A way of turning something quite ordinary into something quite magical. We've been making fancy pyjamas since 2014. Our latest collection, LoveSleeps, has just launched. A collection that was inspired by a Monastery and a Temple, on an island off the coast of Naples - Ischia. Joel and Molly, visited in August 2024 for a long weekend and were so moved by the space, by the quiet and creativity that came from rest that our studio has created not only a new seasonal collection, but a new chapter and calling card for D&D: “and on the seventh day there was rest”. The collection pays ode to the heavenly parts of rest. The freedom it allows our minds. It’s also an homage to the summer days that we pray last forever but eventually become a dream. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘩 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵.

We offer free monogramming for all. Initials, emblazoned across a pocket. A practical, no nonsense luxury. Whether you’re buying for yourself, your crew, your mate, your man, your mother, if a bigger power move exists, we’re yet to hear of it.
Our pyjamas come in a rather splendid box covered in leopards, secured in tissue with a free Sunday Paper to dive into.

Worth every penny
I wasn’t convinced I needed to spend that on some pyjamas but oh my word they’re worth every penny. Light, beautifully made, so pretty and comfortable. Definitely be buying more!

It will quickly become the most favorite dressing at home. Excellent in every detail.
The print is the most attractive I have ever seen in my entire life. Frankfully speaking, due to the high price, I kept postponing this purchase for over a year. Finally, I decided to buy as my sister-in-law has the same for ages. Whenever I saw her in this print and fabric choice, I was so in love with the product. Now, when I finally have it, I don't want to wear anything else at night and would like to wear it at home all the time.

Love products do better with your customers
I love this company’s products. But their customer service could be better. And the pricing for their products is different all over the place. Whether it’s from their website., a department store, Amazon. They really need to get it together. Which is a shame because as I began, I love their products.

Lived up to the hype
I have eyed up Desmond & Dempsey items for years. YEARS!
Every sale, I’ve ummed and ahhed over whether I can justify spending ‘that much’ on nightwear… while I loved their dressing gowns, I have never been a dressing gown person. Any I’ve ever bought have always ended up scrunched up in a corner and forgotten about after a couple of wears.
This spring, I finally took the plunge and bought myself a dressing gown and nightie, and my other half a dressing gown: they were so, so worth it
The dressing gowns are perfect - so comfy and cosy and they just feel sturdy and well made. We spend our evenings and weekends practically living in them, and no signs of wear so far. I haven’t used the nightie much yet, but I’m sure I will once the nights get warmer
So glad I bit the bullet. I’ll definitely be back for pjs - although please bring back the kids range 🙏

Material is a bit flimsy
Very nice packaging. Delivery was relatively fast. However the material of the pyjama is a bit flimsy (very thin, very look through). For this price I would have expected a better value.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment with the quality. The cotton we use is cotton voile which is a delicate, light-weight , sheer and breathable cotton we use. If you prefer a thicker cotton, we would recommend you to try our 402 collection.
