I LOST US$10,000.00 out of my OWN MONEY!! They stole from a senior just about to retire. These guys are Criminals! - "Hard to believe this is happening in modern America and their site is still up and running..." - I LOST US$10,000.00 out of my OWN MONEY -- Stay away from DesignDok!! My work was supposed to finish in 2 months and already passed 2.5 years and nothing. They keep asking for milestone payments, until I realized all my money was gone. The ONLY thing they did was adding up a picture in a pre-existing website, but nothing more than that. Usually, no one is available to answer my phone calls, and all the management names have changed or are fake to me. They appeared extremely professional, but it is all a huge hoax in order to get you in with their BAD TACTIC, and steal your money! Unluckly, my credit card company won't refund my money back due to timeframe policy, consequently DesignDok kept ALL of that amount, favoring their side! BIG SCAM!! STAY AWAY! - I urge you to take a closer look of other similar bad reviews here and from other different review sites as well. If you see some of the 5 star reviews, many could be all made up.

They are scammers, peddlers, incompetent, negligent, sloppy, don't pay attention to any detail, break every promise, always asking for an extension of deadlines, and never deliver.

They provide fake names of their staff, and most probably the tax ID and their two addresses listed are most likely fake as well. From the accent of all the staff that we dealt with, they are probably based in another country but pretend to be in California.

We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and we will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency. Again, they don't refund our deposit. That's how bad they are!

Design Dok should be knocked down immediately. I give one start here because if I don't, I can't continue to write this review. It should be zero. They must be knocked down as they are creating problems every minute to the digital world. They are the number one scammers company in the world while they so basely call themselves USA #1 website designer. Shame on them!!! It is the greatest shame on US and UK, also India as long as this company exists. These scammers are so evil and cruel. They are so "talented " in creating lies, false scenarios and using tricks to phish money. Look at their website that was created by another professional website designing company, attractive, right? You may think this is a big company, but actually only five people in a family running the company. They use different names at different occasions and time. So customers may think they have a big team. But actually not. Look at the fake "positive" reviews they have created themselves and posted on their website. That is what they are skilled at. That is where their talent is shown. But if you think more and more deeply and carefully you will find their dirty tricks just betray themselves, as their inability to offer optimal services just show how intelligent they are. Then you should not be cheated one more time. You will wake up immediately. Their tricks can be used to cheat for some time. But if they continue, they will be captured sooner. As a victim of this scammers, I want to share my horrible experience with these scammers, but the story is a little complicated and can cause emotional problems to customers. To protect yourself and make sure not to throw your money to these scammers, I just want to advise you to stay away from Design Dok forever!!! I believe these scammers will eventually be captured if all victims rise up to report to related organizations for justice!!! We should try our best to get these scammers caught and completely stop these scammers from continuing cause problems to inncent customers!!!

Design Dok is a scammers company. Make sure not be hooked by their discounted prices advertised on their website. Those are hooks they use to cheat. They are a typical scam company doing online cheating, fraud under the disguise of business. Their own website was created by other IT professionals. You may think they have an attractive website. But you don't know that is not made by themselves. They paid to hire another company to make it. If you want to try to be their customer, that means you are throwing your money to scammers. As a victim myself, I sincerely advise you not to fall into that devil's pit.

100% rip off. This is a group of Scam artists. they scammed me out of over $4K. They sell you a website that you build, the work looks as if a beginner is putting it together, and afterwards they continue to charge money until you wise up, at which time they scramble your site because they direct it to their own server and control the future of your site until you cut your losses and get on here to report them. They should be locked up or worse

Spam, I lost $8000 Canadian no result website or I lost mine idea too. Give back my money to my credit card

This company has defrauded me out of $4624.00 over the course of a year. They are touting themselves a web developers. They have not delivered what was agreed upon and then send me "reciepts for payments" I have made rather than the line item invoices for every payment that I have repeatedly requested. They are a fraudulent group out of India working here in New Jersey. Others have been frauded for large sums as well. These people need to be arrested! I have reported them to the FTC, FBI and IC3. They have refused the supposed 100% money back guarentee.

Update, March 19, 2021. I've been asking for receipts of what I paid to this sham of a company. Justin Lee keeps giving me the runaround. Here is what hje sent me this morning, LOL:

Kind of hard to access your 'payment history' when the company has denied access to one's account.

This company is a scam. I have no rooting interest in any other companies. If I did, I'd be advertising them here. But some free advice: don't use this company. And if anyone is thinking about launching a class action lawsuit, I'm in.

I had websites done by Web design labs uk.Read the reviews on them. I lost my 2 websites and everything, domains and hosting, they wouldn't transfer. The point to this is its true what you are reading on the bad reviews. I only found out by chance when I notice a hyper link on my site with there designdok address was on it instead of my email address. I lost £2800 to the company.

I am another consumer and this rip off report is accurate because they tried to rip me off as well!!! They took my money and ran...Not one call or email from them when I started calling them to find out where the product was...Thank God my credit card company was able to get my money back when I disputed...the company is owned by Steve and Mark Anderson and is really based out of Teaneck New Jersey...Until you've paid, they will call you from a phone number based in Irvington, New Jersey, right next to Newark, New Jersey...the reason that is significant is because they advertise that they are in a location in Newark California.  Their real address is 264 Hemlock Terrace, Teaneck, New Jersey 07666...Now, they have begun to start harrassing me, because I was able to get my money back and I'm getting disgusting texts from the phone number 213-419-3097 saying that it's Michael from Design Dok...I have made a complaint to the New Jersey Attorney General...Anderson's email is steve(dot)anderson@designdok(dot)com

If you have heard about SSN Scam where you get a call and were threatened that your SSN has been suspended to secure it they ask you to secure your funds by buying gift card from your local store and share the code from the back of the card with them OR Microsoft Pop up Scam where a pop up appears on a screen with a warning sound prompting you to give a call on a 1800 number to get rid of the pop up, you call them and they charge you a one time fee for installing a virus protection software, whereas there was no problem with your computer to begin with OR REFUND scam where you get a call offering you a refund, they ask you to login onto your online banking with them having gained access to your screen via any screen mirroring software - where they edit the HTML and make it look like they have actually issued you 10x more money than the actual refund amount and then they convince you to send them the excess money via gift card from your local store whereas there was no money sent at the first place - these are the same scammers and have only graduated to this new scam tactic from their old ways. They very well know that millions of people in the west are looking for web development services. Their website attracts lots of potential victims as their service package prices are very attractive and they also offer 100% money back guarantee which means nothing at all. They demand 100% money upfront and after you have made the payment, they linger on offering amatuer work via email or their Design-utility platform till the time credit card payment can be blocked. Once that period of 10 to 15 days is up they vanish and can never be traced back. Even if they take up your work they will only deliver amatuer work and after some days will convince you to upgrade or shell out more money to get full service. Who would want to let go of a paying client, who has already been duped the first time? It is always good to retain an old client/victim rather than get a new client/victim. One of their tactics is to offer you web hosting services through a third party web hosting service provider, in my case it was "liquid web", for year or two with very attractive pricing, once you let them host your website you are at their mercy now. They will hold your website as a ransom to get more money out of you, making excuses that there are some technical problems which are avoiding them from launching your website and if you upgrade to a better plan they will resolve that problem. Don't fall for it as this too is a well thought out scam bait. The office locations on their website are fake they don't have any physical presence in US at all. Try to google their "(TIN): 98-1261553" and you will find that it is a made up number. Also try to see their office location on Google Earth and you will find nothing. They work from Indian Scam Call Centers most probably from Delhi or other major Indian cities. Their phone number is VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol - Service provider - Telengy) which can never be tracked. Their fake American accents puts you off at first but you are blinded and want to give in because their website looks legit and attractive pricing. The 5 start reviews that you see on Trustpilot and other review forums are all written by them to create a smokescreen. They will never call you from their personal number or agree for an online face to face meeting. They email you service agreement/contract instantly on your email during work hours so you think they are working as per US time whereas they are working night shift working off their miserable asses from a scam call center disguised as some other legit business such as a travel agency in India to match the work hours here in USA. They most probably have three shifts matching timings as per USA, UK and Australia. They will never call and scam people from Non-English speaking country. Steve Anderson, Steve Smith, Justin Lee etc are all made up names. They also have other websites to carry on their scam - weanimators.com and wedesignlabs.com. If you want to know more about these scammers and the likes please watch youtube videos by Jim Browning, Karl Rock, Kitboga, Scammer Payback etc. If you have been a victim and would like to report this crime to Indian Cyber Crime Cell you can email your complaint and get the email addresses from cybercelldelhi.in. Please be safe if you have made credit card payments please block or dispute those charges. I would like to update here that these people have been reported to FBI Cyber fraud protection in USA as one of the scammers victimizing innocent people in USA and in India to CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation - India's FBI) to investigate the matter. They have come up with a lot of insights that will have these low life criminals behind bars very soon. I'll update regularly.

This company has horrible customer service. They extort their customers. The product was well done, which is maybe why they get good reviews from companies that have budgets they don't check or care about. I ordered the professional website package. I am a company of one person and did not need anything fancy. Within the first month of paying them, I began receiving calls and emails trying to get me to "upgrade" to higher security, extra add-ons, and all sorts of others odds and ends that were presented as mandatory. I was told on many occasions if I did not pay for these upgrades that they could not continue to build my website. I paid for some, and managed to successfully call them out on their scam that I had to have a DMCA copyright ($500) or they could not proceed with making my website. I contacted a lawyer who confirmed for me this was not necessary.
Finally, the website was up, though despite asking more than 10 times, they would not give me access to my own website, which I own. They kept putting me off and were upset I wanted to do the blog updates myself instead of paying them to do it, so I still don't have access to my website to be able to take it to another host.
I learned from a client a few days ago that it was not working. I tried to call designdok, but they don't pick up their phone. I went to the live chat and I was told that their "lawyers" had tried to contact me on multiple occasions (I have no missed calls, no voice messages, and no emails) because I had "3 google hits" and my website was taken down by google due to ADA non-compliance. They then claimed I needed to pay them $2600 to make the site ADA compliant and once I paid they would put it back up. When I said no, they gave me a "one time offer" of paying $1150, after more arguing, they dropped it to $899. When I said they owe me my product and that (if the ADA complaint was true, which I'm doubting from conversations with others) that I would have another company put my site into compliance and would be taking it elsewhere to host. They told me that until I pay, they themselves can't access the site and so can't give me my content. I said I was not paying anything and asked for the notice/letter from ADA. At that time, they just refused to continue chatting with me. They will not return my emails or calls and I'm stuck with having paid all sorts of money and have no website. They are complete scammers and extortionists. If anyone says no to them they hold their website hostage. I am certain all of the good reviews are from people who indiscriminately say yes to any proposed upgrades or who buy the most expensive package.

You want a professionally designed and published website for your fledgling business? Or perhaps a revamp of an old website? Do you want deadlines met so that your project stays on target? Would you like to be able to communicate with the assigned designer? And if you have problems, you can trust that the next level up will be able to handle it? Would you like to trust that commitments will be followed through on? Basically that the design firm will handle business the way you do yours?

They waste no time getting your money from you but will refuse to give it back when you ask because of their incompetency.

Save your money. These guys are completely inept, crooked and a waste of your time and money! You will profit more by simply starting a fire in your outdoor grill with that money.

This company has had $1000 dollars of my money and its been a month. They will not return my calls or emails. The website they have is not working. The one time i spoke to someone “RODRICK” he said they were having to work from home for the pandemic. Then told me in an email that this other guy “Paul” was fired so he would take over my requests. This is a scam. I’m %100. Also, he obviously has no idea who i am and didn’t even look at my profile (if one is available) because he once emailed that they would be finished with my logo soon. Uh I didn’t need a logo. Seriously i cant get in touch with this company on 3 different ways of communication. The website and phone number no longer work either!

Don't even think about using these guys. Don't walk, RUN AWAY. A complete and utter, sham. I'm trying to figure out how to call the California Secretary of State or Attorney Generals' office.

They have left our job incomplete and never uploaded the site to our host. Now I will have to start from scratch and build it myself.

i was hoping i would not have to assume the worse about this company and the terrible situation iam currenyly in with them at the moment im offended and feel as though ive been ripped off ive payed this d*mncompany over $2k to build me a personal website that was suppose to be launched working and published to go live over google platform for sells and retails lastyear of 2020 here it is now 2020 and still nothing and the customerservice department seems to be fake because i was only able to get incontact with these shadey people like a week or two ago and now im unable to get incontact with anyone from the company about my yerrbile problem im facing with already having to havr paod them over $2k only to be left with nothing in return i called the company again yesterday and keep getting my calls dropped what is really going on here scam company and to all the people here expressing that they have what DesignDok promised them must have paid for every single thing that this company asked them or persuaded them to pay them for they dont give you what you ask for it seems unless you just keep shelling out your money to them i will be looking to sue these sorry uprofessional people sometime in the near future very upset and offended by this awful expereince im having with these people they half do sh*tand then expect you to continue to give them your money for ammature work and detail give me my money back so i can go on with my life
