Dental Emergency in Zurich
Dental Emergency in Zurich. On return, contacted Denplan via telephone and explained situation. Was told costs were covered and directed to claim form. Process was simple and response within a couple of days with money to be sent to direct debit account within 10 days. Denplan make the whole process simple and phone conversations were helpful with the overall impression of a company looking to be as helpful as possible.

When you need some work done and you…
When you need some work done and you may required denture/s or other expensive dental work, by having the costs spread over monthly payments,which include check up apportionments and hygienist which are included plus any work done you get a 10% discount. Instead of paying for work carried out or the need for dentures etc, paying monthly amount helps especially if you are unable to pay the whole cost/s at once.

Absolutely amazing service from Denplan
We've had absolutely outstanding service from Denplan. My son is away from home at university and has needed emergency surgery for a wisdom tooth problem. Denplan have been wonderful in sorting everything out for us - from the initial emergency appointment, to the removal of the tooth. The claim has been settled so quickly and with no fuss.

I telephoned Denplan to ask if I could…
I telephoned Denplan to ask if I could change the date my standing order payment was collected and was told no. There was no explanation as to why this simple facility wasn’t available. The customer services person was almost going out of his way to be unhelpful.
And, furthermore, just in case you don’t know, customers hate having to’interact’ with supposed AI whilst try to resolve a problem. Why can’t we just speak to a real person to begin with?!

Everything. Unfortunately , their service does not even deserve a single star. No response to claims . Despite being given all the information, they use an excuse that they cannot find the dentist (not registered) or some other excuse. Regretful, will be cancelling the damn thing. Claim outstanding since September 2025.
It has been further number of attempts and calls. Submitted invoices , bank statements but same old response to submit and nice in a special way. Damn damn damn. This service that I have been paying for last 3 years and only one claim and this company dragging their feet as …….. I have been trying to call and endless bots just can not understand, cannot understand, with going no where . I am requesting to cancel and again literally stuck , cannot do anything . If a get a treatment , I pay and then on top , monthly I pay to this crap Den plan. Emails after emails and no action , how convenient it is for these big companies. Save your time and money if you can. Stay away from dem plan.

Not worth the effort
After spending ridiculous amount of time going back and forth from Denplan and my dental practice to get any money back, they then don't pay. I will be reconsidering this plan.

Do not join!
Do not join. All is fine when you pay the monthly fee to them but the moment you make a claim they make you go back and forth trying to find any way not to pay out. Absolute waste of money and one of the worst dental plans I’ve come across who do not even have a clue how dentists operate these days in terms of appointments!!

Great service
Unfortunately my denture plate broke in half whilst I was in Spain. After a visit to the local dentist a new plate was made for me in less than a week and I made a claim through Denplan. The claiming is straightforward and I have already received confirmation that my claim has been successful. This plan also covers our dental treatments at home which are first class, so I have nothing but praise for them.

Very poor service. It would appear the main aim is to administer payment. They do not ensure the dental practice is able to carry out work.

For our customers who have Denplan directly through their dentist, if they are dissatisfied with their registered practice and the service they have provided in any way, we recommend discussing their concerns with the dental practice directly.
If you put your concerns to them in writing they should respond to you within 14 days, and provide you with a copy of the practice’s in-house complaints procedure. This is because Denplan is a monthly budgeting scheme for which we act as an administrator, collecting your monthly payments and passing these to your registered dentist, whom your contract is with.
Saying this however, we would also like the opportunity to discuss your concerns and how Denplan works in more detail. Please may I ask that you contact our Customer Services Team on 0800 401 402. Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Relations team directly at DenplanCustomer.Relations@simplyhealth.co.uk.
