I made an enquiry about villas in Corfu for the family. I received quite quickly a detailed response with suggestions. I then called them to discuss and had to leave a message, asking them to return my call! I never received a call back! What a strange way to do business? I obviously won't be trying to use them again!

Feeling Tricked & No Trust now for 2 reasons. IMPORTANT Ensure any requests (early check-in, pool heating etc) & CV Villas responses are in writing.

First reason. Going to this website I see a review from a Joel Marsh. I have an email dated 23 Jan 2025 from a Joel Marsh, Senior Customer Experience Specialist attaching my final documents. A small world if they're not the same person.

2nd Reason. My holiday was 8th-15th Feb. I feel I was almost tricked into making a payment of Euro 468 for pool heating, that was never requested & certainly not prior to the heating being switched on, 3 days before my arrival. Even Matthew Corcoran at CV Villas who took my booking confirmed "you chose not to add this service".

I was NEVER advised of the cost for pool heating & this cost was not on the CV Villas website, although it is now but it wasn't when I took photos of CV Villas website & their TC's on 14th February when the situation arose. I would never agree to a service without knowing the cost.

On 14th February a gentleman appeared around the side of the enclosed villa by the pool requesting payment for the pool heating. It was a horrible moment for myself & 2 girlfriends. I had no cash to pay & thank goodness I didn't in the shock of the moment.

I twice emailed (last one on 15th February) CV Villas about the matter but never received a response to this last email.

I stayed in Villa Rodi recently and it is stunning! Fantastic location with a 15 minute walk into town (a little steep) but it was ideal for all of us. Plenty of space and the games room was used daily!
The team at CV Villas put everything together so quickly and nothing was to much of an ask. Would recommend a car at the villa just to get your shopping in but ideal for a relaxing week. Can't wait to go back and try out some more experiences next time!

Amazing villa, well kept. Nothing is too much and very helpful.

Stayed at Villa Rodi in Corfu for a week over September. The scenery was stunning, the Villa was spectacular with plenty of room for entertaining. The location was very private but also close enough to walk to San Stefano. The barbecue, pool and games room were all great additions to the stay. If you want a relaxing holiday, with a lot of options for day trips, I’d recommend Villa Rodi.

Trulli Linda in Puglia was an absolute treasure of a villa. It had everything you'd need for a very comfortable stay and was beautifully designed inside and outside. The outside seating areas and outside kitchen are perfect for chilling out in the heat of the day, with a gorgeous pool for cooling off. The rooms are comfortable and although one bedroom didn't have air con, it had a very effective ceiling fan. Located between the two lovely towns of Cisternino and Locorotondo meant that there was quick access to many restaurants and shopping. The local villa rep gave us a very cheery welcome when we arrived late the first evening due to a delayed flight, and helped with any questions and recommendations during our week. We will definitely be returning here if possible. Wonderful.

CV Villas listed an Umbrian villa on their website that we wished to rent, so we contacted them to do so. Nine days later, after multiple unanswered reminders, they finally told us the case: the owner was selling and didn't want to contract with CV again. So they listed a villa they didn't have, and made us wait 9 days before admitting it. Also, while their agent was friendly on the phone, it turns out she is a specialist in other parts of the world, not including Italy. So why was she assigned to us? She was polite, and I'm sure tried to help, therefore a 2, but it was a disappointing experience.

The Beach Retreat Sardinia. A lovely villa in a very beautiful and unspoilt part of Sardinia. We were really well looked after by the house manager and his staff. The house was perfect for our party of 16 and very well equipped. During our stay we visited an amazing wine maker, Paolo Pitzouli, which we would definitely recommend. We also had a fantastic boat trip from Buggeru with Mormora, Luca our driver was wonderful with a very good sense of humour. We had amazing dinners in the house with the cook organised by CV travel and delicious dinners at Sol e Luna just down the road.

I recently stayed at a villa in Corfu, booked through CV Travel, and the experience was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the villa was not as advertised. The property was run down, with peeling paint, broken and extremely uncomfortable furniture, unusable pool and table tennis table , no shower curtain in the bathroom, no hot water for at least two days, builders constantly blocking access in and out of our driveway and general disrepair that made our stay intolerable and very disappointing.

The photos online showed a luxurious, well-maintained villa, but what we found was the complete opposite. The villa was dirty, with worn-out furnishings and with very dangerous and hazardous obstacles. It was evident that the property had not been cared for in a long time, and it fell far short of the standards we were promised.

To make matters worse, both my father and mother injured themselves due to the hazardous conditions of the villa. My father hit his head on a very low wooden beam which caused significant injury and my mother hurt herself when the bedframe collapsed in the middle of the night.. These accidents were avoidable and highlighted the lack of maintenance and concern for guest safety.

Our attempts to address these issues with the CV Travel representatives were met with atrocious service. The reps were ignorant and unsympathetic, showing no interest in resolving our complaints or ensuring our well-being. Their attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to our frustration.

Additionally, we were misled about nearby building work. The reps assured us that there was no construction in the vicinity, yet we were constantly disturbed by loud noises from early morning until late afternoon. This significantly disrupted our holiday and left us unable to relax.

The overall experience was incredibly disappointing, and the poor service from CV Travel's representatives ruined our holiday. We will not be booking with CV Travel again and will revert to using another villa company for our future holidays. The lack of honesty, care, and professionalism we encountered is unacceptable, and I strongly advise others to avoid booking with them. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for your holiday accommodation.

Follow up : In response to your reply I was very angered by your representatives attitude to both my parents when they were injured and one year on I am still very unhappy about the situation despite some level of compensation and fully warranted given the atrocious holiday. My parents and I did not feel as if we had a three week holiday, but rather a three week nightmare to which your reps were disinterested and unsympathetic. In addition, I still see the very same villa being advertised with false images, despite myself and my father making it abundantly clear how misrepresenting these photos are. It's astonishing that they are still on the CV website. It should take a matter of hours to rectify this yet almost 14 months on, no change. We recently returned from a fortnight in Corfu, a villa with one of your direct competitors and it has rejuvenated us, something which CV failed to do in May 2023. Also do you not think that seeing as you have many villas free and able to book that it might have something to do with the poor quality and even worse attitude of the representatives of your company within the CV office in Corfu ? Relying on the sea views and outdated images is indolent and suggest you improve the outlook and overall attitude of employees based in the Corfu office.

We have recently returned from a 14 day stay at Villa Mimosa in Corfu and we do not have a single complaint. Milda Grevys here in the UK was extremely helpful in settling any queries we had and was frequently in contact before our departure date. The CV Villas rep in Corfu was Marco Duifhuis who was simply great. Very informative and reassuring. We felt very relaxed knowing Marco was around in case a problem arose. All in all a very pleasant experience. We will be using CV Villas again in the future.

Two holidays this year, Tuscany and St Lucia. Both very different places but both fabulous in their own very different ways. Tuscany small and bijou and St Lucia the most delightful property with one of the best vistas of any holiday taken. Made all the more personal by the attention of Lucy, our brilliant, warm hearted housekeeper. Great CV Villas service from here in UK with all the arrangements in organising the holidays. Thanks Jo!

Kalokairi beach house, Corfu.
Beautiful spacious villa, ideal for our large family, lovely views of the sea and Albania from every balcony. Toddler pool as well as the family pool was great for our younger holidaymakers.

This company was extremely helpful in every way. All members of staff including the ones in Corfu where we stayed, were very professional and couldn't do enough to ensure your stay was stress free and enjoyable. The villa they recommended was perfect for our needs.

It's the first time we've used CV Villas, and we were very impressed. The Villa we booked in Italy was high quality and as described. The management staff were more than helpful, Maria ensured our stay was perfect. When there was a minor hiccup (out of their control) they dealt with it quickly and efficiently. We will definitely use CV Villas again, many thanks

In our “Above” villa our welcome pack contained dried goods and olive tapenade, processed meat and a bottle of Greek wine.
After a long day travelling including flight delays and long queues at passport control we had to find a supermarket to buy bread, milk, jam, tea, juice and many other things which we were told would be in the hamper.
To make matters worse the local Cv office apparently closes on British bank holidays, Greek ones too I would guess. Would you believe there is no way to contact customer services using the website, contact us- guest, is a sales page.
The only email address I had was pre departure I sent them a photo of the hamper with my thoughts, they never responded or passed it on to anyone who did.
The problem is that the local food store which supplies the hamper leave their flyer next to it so that you will buy the missing items from them, thus they sell them both to CV and to the guest, CV will be aware of this but are too lazy to care. In Above villas particularly the hamper should be sourced by the concierge.

What a wonderful holiday, and perfect villa!
We stayed at Ormos Beach House for a week in Kalamaki, Corfu.
We are a family with two small children and this villa was absolutely perfect for us.
The villa was lovely, very spacious and to a good standard. There are lots of grounds and the pool has a small childrens pool which was great for my two.
The area is brilliant too. With 3 tavernas and beach bars walking distance on the beach from the villa and Kassiopi was only a short drive away.
I would highly recommend CV Villas and this villa, especially families with children.

We stayed at Villa La Pinede with CV from Saturday 11th to the 25th of June 2022. The two-week holiday (price for the villa; £11,800) was booked with CV Villas with whom we have stayed before. Except – as we were to realise – we really had not. Our previous villa holidays were through CV Travel, a firm with a good reputation in the luxury villa rental market and as I can now attest from personal experience, a very different entity.
One of our prerequisites when booking a villa is always the presence of air conditioning. Upon arrival it was obvious that the air conditioning for the entire first floor of La Pinede was not working. The ‘house manager’ (a local man whose services as a cook come as part of the booking) spent an hour trying to fix it. The owner then called me and asked me to try and fix it. I could not. It was clear the system was old and a professional. The owner reluctantly said he would find someone he ‘trusted’ to look at it. The next day he called to say the man he ’trusted’ (was cheap) had retired – but would I go out and buy new batteries to see if that fixed it. It didn’t.
The air con was finally replaced on the sixth day of our stay but sadly villa La Pinede held other delights to occupy out attention and time.
Obviously, we didn’t pay almost £12,000 for our stay to watch TV but as it is advertised as one of the villa’s facilities, we decided to turn it on. It didn’t work. We asked the ‘house manager’ if he could make it work. He reminded us that he was just ‘the cook’ and had no idea about fixing TVs. So, I called the CV Villas rep (for the South of France) who assured me that as house manager he should at least try and fix it. He did try. He could not.
With regard to the compulsory presence of the cook at La Pinede. A nice chap, but we didn’t come on a private villa holiday to be in the almost constant presence of a stranger. Isn’t a villa holiday all about privacy and NOT having to mix with perfect strangers? Knowing that we preferred not to use his services I had, before arriving, requested he cook us one meal upon arrival and buy coffee, milk, OJ and croissants for our first morning. That’s it – take the next two weeks off from cooking. However, upon arrival we were greeted by a full fridge and a bill for 250 Euros of food we had not ordered (and specifically requested not to have bought for us). I paid the ransom and let it pass.
A brief word about the kitchen. As can be seen from the attached images the kitchen units at luxury villa La Pinede are falling apart. I sent photos to the rep who was horrified and also knowing about the issues with the aircon and the TV etc said she would be speaking to the owner and to CV Villas back in the UK who would be calling me to express their dismay and offer compensation. They did not. Every morning for the next three days the (very amenable and apologetic) local rep called to ask whether we had been contacted by anyone from CV Villas in the UK. We never did receive a call or a single reply to any email that I (was asked) to send them regarding the problems at La Pinede. The rep – not a full-time employee of CV Villas – offered what compensation she could which was a meal at a restaurant of our choosing. We declined.
I don’t have the energy to relate more – specifically about the almost constant noise pollution. Incredibly CV Villas and the owner of La Pinede believe it is fine to ask customers to pay £12,000 to spend a fortnight sitting between two building sites. Two weeks of cement mixers, lorries, heavy machinery, and gangs of shouting workmen. See attached videos.
Problems arise and mistakes are made in even the best run businesses but crucially it is by the response to these issues that a company or individual must be judged. In this regard CV Villas and the owner of villa La Pinede failed us badly.

Just returned from a fantastic week away in Corfu. After 2 long years away from holidays abroad, it was everything we hoped for and more. Our party of 9; made up of 3 families had excellent service from everyone at CV villas from the very start. From the staff involved with the initial booking, to the car hire and cook service that was arranged. The villa was spotless and had a maid service daily -( who was lovely and really unobtrusive and efficient). Beth was our contact in Corfu and she was excellent, organising a chef, and supermarket food delivery at short notice and even a doctor when one of our party was unwell. The villa was stunning, as was Corfu itself. Would highly recommend. In over 20 years of large villa holiday experiences, this was the best.

CV Villas used to be excellent….not any longer! Our holiday to Corfu ..like so many others…didn’t take place this year…the flights were cancelled so has no option but to roll the trip over to next year. We wanted to fly from a different airport….fine …all verbally agreed BUT STILL WAITING WEEKS LATER for confirmation. Now I’ve discovered that Villa Nicoletta …the one we’re meant to be staying in…is being sold! Under offer!
No one will speak to me…..I managed to get through to customer services then they cut me off and still no confirmation of holiday!…….I know travel agents are busy but really all I want is confirmation of the holiday that I’ve already paid the deposit for!
