Message to Carvia, please dont bother replying to this review with an apology and for me to contact you to resolve, we both know that you are not going to refund the monies paid!!!

Absolute scam

Please please PLEASE, do not purchase anything from this site. They are a massive scam. You will be offered something at a low price like £3.99 then they will immediately start taking larger payments. I was offered a discounted purchase of £3.99 which I paid and then 2 payments of £19.99 followed without my consent. I contacted the support team basically saying yes you’ve been scammed we won’t be helping you. You are also enter into a subscription which will charge you around £30 a month. Luckily my bank has sorted it out. Vermin!
Emailed several times as they seem to state on all the negative feedback to be told they have taken the money lawfully and there’s no chance of a refund.

I would give this company zero stars if Trustpilot allowed it. One star is already too generous.

I believed I was agreeing to a $6.99 purchase. Within moments, my credit card was charged $6.99, $27.99 and another $27.99, for a total of $62.97.

I did not knowingly authorize two additional $27.99 charges.

What makes this even worse is that I never downloaded an app, there is no Carvia purchase in my Apple purchase history, there is no Carvia subscription through Apple, and I have not used the service at all. I still have not been given a clear explanation of what I actually received for the original $6.99, never mind the two additional charges.

I cancelled immediately. Even the cancellation process repeatedly tried to keep me subscribed by first offering me a 50% discount and then a 75% discount before finally allowing me to cancel.

I then contacted the company and asked for a refund. They refused and told me the charges were covered by their terms and “fine print.” I specifically asked them to provide:

* the exact checkout screen I was shown,
* the amounts displayed before payment,
* proof showing where I agreed to each separate $27.99 charge,
* the date and time of those authorizations,
* and an itemized explanation of what each charge was for.

They did not provide that evidence.

Instead, they simply repeated that the prices and terms were shown at checkout and had to be accepted. They then told me that they keep a “complete record” of the purchase and would provide it if my bank requests it — yet they would not provide that same record to me, the actual cardholder, when I asked for it directly.

Their responses are also inconsistent. At one point they referred to the charges as “promotional add-ons” and “trial charges,” and later they spoke vaguely about “the original charge” in the singular, even though there were three separate charges within moments of one another.

After reading other reviews here, I also find their repeated public responses saying they are “genuinely sorry” and want to “work toward a resolution” very hard to take seriously. In my experience, when I actually contacted them, they refused the refund, relied on “fine print,” and told me their decision was final. Those public replies feel like canned damage control rather than genuine customer care.

A customer should know exactly how much they are agreeing to pay before their card is charged. They should not discover multiple additional charges afterward and then be told those charges were buried in terms they supposedly accepted.

Based on my experience, this feels extremely deceptive and scam-like. I am now disputing the charges through RBC/Visa, and I am keeping all screenshots and correspondence.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this service before entering their credit card information.

A total scam. You don't get anything, and I was double-charged immediately after downloading the app. Beware of this app.

I wanted to purchase the €6.99 subscription. However, immediately after the purchase, I was charged an additional €19.99 twice — a total of €39.98 in extra charges.

I did not knowingly intend to purchase these two additional products. I contacted customer support immediately and requested a refund, but my request was denied.

The company claims that I accepted two promotional offers, but they have not provided me with evidence showing that I clearly and knowingly authorized each of the two €19.99 purchases.

I find the payment process very unclear and believe the additional paid offers and their prices should have been presented much more transparently before charging customers.

Be very careful when making a purchase, as additional charges may appear immediately after the initial payment.

I clicked on an advertisement offering CarPlay widgets for €3.99 and intended to purchase that offer.
Instead, my card was charged THREE times by the same merchant: €3.99 + €19.99 + €19.99, for a total of €43.97.
I contacted customer support immediately. They cancelled the subscription and confirmed that there would be no further charges, but refused to refund the two additional €19.99 charges, claiming that I had accepted one or two “one-time promotional offers” during the sign-up process.
I specifically asked them to provide evidence of my explicit authorization for EACH of the two €19.99 purchases. Instead of providing that evidence, they simply repeated that promotional purchases were non-refundable according to their terms.
I expected to spend €3.99. I ended up being charged €43.97.
I have screenshots of the original offer, all three card charges and the complete correspondence with customer support.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend checking every screen and every amount extremely carefully before confirming anything on this website.

Another update: I had to cancel my debit card. Then, they tried to start charging the replacement.
The company behind this is Applisan. They are known for being a fraudulent entity.

Update: I stand by my review. This is a front for a fraudulent organization. I’m going to report them to the FBI’s site for cyber crimes. Please do so, as well.

When I selected widgets in the app, no prices were shown. I believed the discounted purchase covered them, and I only saved them and never applied them. The app has no purchase history or billing information, so I can't see what I was charged for.

Support is an automated reply. It refused a refund and said everything is laid out in the terms. I didn't see those charges disclosed clearly before checkout, and the app doesn't match how it's advertised.

I've had to take this to my bank to dispute the charges. Check your statement carefully if you buy this.

Total scam and ai customer service. Please avoid. Predatory app that bypasses traditional app store protection methods.

They billed me today 14.99 for subscription I did not agree to. I contacted them within minutes of payment being taken to dispute and tell them I do not want the subscription but received ai responses telling me the charge still stands.

Update: I just checked my bank account and can see they have taken another £14.99 payment last week (20/9). They attempted to take £14.99 on the 18th also and £29.99 also on the 18th! Seems like they are just making it up as they go along and taking what they want from peoples accounts.

This is a scam to trick you into a subscription hidden behind a poor effort to create a widget for CarPlay. Please do NOT click on anything on this website or you will be billed by a subscription that you had no idea you’d clicked. You have been warned

Agreed to pay 4.99 for useless app and got charged twice right away 19.99 + 19.99 i sent them an email after 1 minute of the charges and only i get an automatic reply .

Total scammers...can't believe I got sucked in...made it look like a normal Apple App Store payment but totally fraugulant!

Someone needs to shut this company down. My bank flagged their charges as fraudulent and blocked further payments — after they had already taken £100 from me THIS WEEK!

I downloaded what I thought was a free app, realised it was rubbish and deleted it 20 minutes later. Yet somehow, they’ve continued taking money from my account.

Nobody replies to emails. They even pretend they don’t have you set up and demand verification codes. WHAT CODES?! I deleted your app almost immediately!

They are absolutely disgraceful. Taking money from people and then hiding behind a ridiculous customer service system is beyond unacceptable.

£100 taken in one week. No replies. No accountability. Just shocking.

They are scammers, they give you a promotion for 4 USD and after you purchase it they deduct 40 USD without your permission

WARNING SCAM FRAUD; Offered a widget for CarPlay at $6.99 once paid then two additional so called monthly payments were taken immediately luckily stopped by my bank. SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER NOT TO TRUST FB ADDS. Thank you Halifax bank.
Update; Contacted me after seeing my review - I am not interested in your fake offer of assistance, get stuffed and don’t contact me again.

I signed up for a one month of car widget and recieved 4 charges of $27.99 in one week. They claim I accept d additional offers, which I was unaware off. They also state there is a no refund conditions. Convenient for them to charge me over $100 for something I will never use.

Agreed to a 3.99 charge got charged 3.99 + 2 x 27.99 . Make it make sense....
