Crimson Guitars, based in a customised factory in Dorset, is the premier UK manufacturer of both production and bespoke guitars to the highest of standards. We also make a full range of all the tools and accessories a budding luthier could want in their journey of sawdust and music and are continuously improving on and adding to our custom designs. We ship worldwide and are back at full capacity after the Covid-19 shutdowns in the UK. In our hunt for perfection, we have grown into the largest guitar building school in the world, hosting up to 500 local and international students each year in purpose designed in house guitar making courses from 2 days long to 3 whole months. While the luthiery school is still closed we expect to be open as usual in a few short weeks, we are still taking orders for and booking course dates though so please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Outstanding service, always go above and beyond, bought a lot of timber from crimson and it's always planed perfectly ready to get building, no enquiry is to much to ask, Tommy and joey are always extremely helpful and polite, Tom has handpicked some beautify grained/flamed woods for me for my builds, easiest service and top tier quality I have ever used! Highly recommend, highly respect this business

It's all about the wood choices
Crimson Guitars Tonewoods have always been the best quality. This purchase was a Flamed Redwood top for an SG style guitar . It arrived exactly as described and looks fantastic.

Fantastic tools especially for fretwork. Files are quality and with nice ergonomic craftsmanship on the wooden handles with the added touch of the crimson logo. The notched straight edge and the fret rocker are precise and solid.

I purchased a comprehensive range of water based stains, the penetrating oil and high build finishing oil. I obtained excellent results and love the colour and finish of my bass guitar. I would strongly recommend the excellent series of videos which are available on Youtube showing the use of stains and oil finishes - these were invaluable to me during my bass build. I unreservedly recommend these products; and I intend to use Crimson in the future too.

Fretboard cleaner and restorative
The products themselves, top notch. This is the second time I've purchased the fretboard cleaner and restorative combo, and they do as advertised...quite well. I had a lot of thirsty fretboards....
