I bought a pair of cricket boots and one boot had gone yellow for some reason. Have tried to contact them by email and phone but they do not even reply to either. no customer service at all , beware buying from them

I ordered a cricket bat for my son, but the wrong item was delivered. I arranged a return using their preferred method and followed all the provided instructions. Despite this, I never received a refund. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue and experiencing incredibly poor customer service — Royal Mail confirmed the item had been returned and even provided photographic evidence. However, Cricket Bats Direct denied receiving the return and refused to issue a refund. I strongly advise against ordering from them. I only wish I had checked the reviews beforehand.

Ordered a bat from Cricket Bats Direct which arrived with visible cracks. I immediately contacted them to return it, expecting a refund as is clearly required under UK consumer law for faulty goods. Despite this, they refused my refund request and insisted on sending the bat back to the manufacturer instead – a completely unacceptable delay tactic and not compliant with the law.

The item was clearly defective on arrival and my short-term right to reject should have been honoured without hassle. The customer service was dismissive and unhelpful throughout. Extremely disappointing experience. I won’t be ordering from them again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, customer-focused retailer.

This is an utter disgrace of a company.
Long story short son’s birthday ruined, still no bat, no refund, not a hint of remorse from company but was offered a significantly lower quality bat if I paid extra money!!
Having received the incorrect order communication was next to zero, apologies are non existent, utter refusal to speed up rectification of their mistake which is now running into its second week (a refund was finally guaranteed to be sent yesterday which I’ve still not got).
I messaged at the beginning of this debacle saying I’d not be surprised if they didn’t even have the bat I wanted and 4 days later after prompting them TWICE to acknowledge the receipt of the returned bat they discovered they in fact didn’t and offered a 6.4 bat having ordered a 4.1 for an extra £10.
Do your self a favour and stay well away. How the rating is this high is beyond me.

The experience I have had is similar to the other reviews. The customer service was so unprofessional. Poorly worded emails, no apologies for failed deliveries and a total lack of insight. They even (presumably accidentally) emailed me their entire accounts for the month! Unfortunately this left me none the wiser as to where my delivery was. The courier company told me that the wrong postcode was on the package but CricketBatssharksdirect suggested this with my fault despite their own documents showing it correctly. Not one single apology. No product. No refund. The phone has either rung out for an entire week or is switched off. I found out from locals that they have a terrible reputation for customer service. The funny thing is, I was ordering one item with a view to kitting out an entire junior cricket club …. Obviously won’t be using this company and I would urge others to avoid unless they too have time to follow up with trading standards.

So I have spent over £300 on a bat and having started lightly knocking the face and grains of the bat had started cracking. It was like as if it had a thin film of wood over it and ad i carried out it cracked and popped every where! This has been the wost quality bat ever brought. I had contacted customer service and they concluded in first instance that it was my fault without reviewing or hesitation. Extremely SHAMEFUL! And stopped responding tovmy emails. Do NOT buy from them. Its extremely low qulity bleached will to look all nice. Customer service is POOR!

Terrible experience. My order was never delivered—goodness knows where they delivered it to. I was told to “look over my fence” and received condescending responses throughout. Still no refund, no help and the whole process has been frustrating. Avoid this company!

Very unprofessional and service is delayed for the name of ready to play selected.
Also they don't return the money or item if at all just unboxed and not played.
If you call 01727223754 someone hardly picking if you are lucky enough to talk, while talking different people I believe husband and wife have different things to say, the lady will say it can be returned however the ready to play charges will not be refunded and if you buy another bat full money will be refunded or adjusted. The husband will say no we have customised for you and will not take return or refund. They should mention if you select ready to play then no return or refund. My order no was #CBD1183. We can only trust while ordering online as we are not seeing physically, and these people are waiting to cheat you. Please requesting not to buy anything from them, very cheap and fraud site. They attract buy placing discount with bad products. You see they made the site name also to confuse cricket direct brand. Don't order!!!
