TOOK OUR MONEY, NO COMMUNICATION AND NO SOFA!!
DO NOT use this company! We purchased 2 x 2 seat sofas online from this company, over £1k, on 8th February. We received a purchase confirmation email, but nothing since. We’ve tried to contact them by email, phone and text message, but no answer or response. We’ve now made a claim for a refund via our bank, but guess what, they’ve not responded within the 45 days! Absolutely disgusting way to run a business, avoid at all costs!!

Wij zijn op bezoek geweest bij SDB Living LTD om een keuze te maken voor een krabpaal. We werden zeer vriendelijk en deskundig ontvangen. Tijd en ruimte voor uitleg, voor ideeën enz enz. We waren hier op vrijdagmiddag en na de koop werd ons verteld dat deze misschien zondag geleverd kon worden. Later dachten wij dat dit een foutje zou zijn. Op zondag een levering ontvangen? Leek ons niet juist. Echter, tijdens de wandeling vandaag op zondag werd ik gebeld dat de chauffeur voor de deur stond. Hij was bereid om even te wachten. En inderdaad deze chauffeur stond te wachten bracht de paal binnen en wilde zelfs deze op de juiste plek zetten. Ongelooflijk dat dit nog gebeurd. Ik heb nog nooit zo een service, vriendelijkheid en niet te vergeten ontvangst in de loods meegemaakt. En ik raad echt iedereen aan om hier een kijkje te nemen want ze hebben zoveel! En tenslotte is de kosten van deze krabpaal niet duurder dan het aanbod van een dierenwinkel, voor onze 2 grote katten zijn we zelfs goedkoper uit en zoooo ontzettend mooi. Chapeau. En zo blij! Onze katten liggen er al in.

Mijn producten gekregen maar de service is niet goed. Ik ontving geen mail met de t&t. Een mail later moest ik maar in mijn spam box kijken en kreeg een volledige foto van de verzendlabel die op de doos geplakt moest worden. Ook toen kon ik niets vinden omdat er meerdere nummers op staan waarop ik vriendelijk vroeg of mij een link gestuurd kon worden. Volgens de beste man kwam dat omdat er geen pakketten verwerkt zouden worden tussen kerst en oud en nieuw. Daarop kreeg ik weer een screenshot ipv een duidelijke link. Eindelijk kon ik het t&t nummer vinden en wat bleek? Ze moesten het rechtstreeks naar een pakket punt sturen omdat ze mij niet konden contacteren voor afgifte.

Hoe moeilijk is het om vriendelijk en behulpzaam te zijn?

Mijn bestelling luidde als volgt:
De sisal wikkeling tussen 2 plateaus wil ik graag om het onderste deel van de dikste stam. Mijn katten krabben graag al uitrekkend aan een krabpaal, en dat is moeilijk vanaf een plateau. Daarom: wikkeling rond het onderste deel.
Zonet werd een paal geleverd met de wikkeling tussen het 2de en 3de plateau. Dus duidelijk niet het gevraagde. Meneer de Boer neemt daarop gelijk de paal weer mee maar weigert om hem te maken zoals gevraagd. In plaats daarvan discussieert hij over de verwoording. Ik zou niet weten hoe ik dit duidelijker had kunnen verwoorden.
SDB Living levert blijkbaar producten uit stock, en niet wat de klant wenst.

Prachtige stevige klimpaal voor m'n 8 maine coons voor onder de overkapping ontvangen. Vlotte levering, een week eerder dan ik had gedacht. Mooie, schalen. Nog 1 kussentje besteld voor op 1 van de planken en olie voor het onderhoud.

I purchased a sofa from SDB Living in November 2024 and was told they should be able to deliver before Christmas. However, just before Christmas they called me and apologised that their supplier was unable to fulfil the order (sounded like they'd gone out of business) and they would offer me a full refund (which they said could take between 3-7 working days) plus £50 as an apology. They seemed genuine and very apologetic, and also followed up with an email detailing what we'd discussed, but I figured I'd wait for the refund to come through to my credit card before giving them my bank details for the extra £50. Can't be too careful these days.

Early January (more than 3-7 working days later) I emailed them because my refund hadn't come through and they responded to say they'd look into it with their accounts team. Another week goes by and no refund so I call them. Again, he seemed genuine and said he'd call me back before the end of the day, which he did but he didn't really have an update, but he said he'd phone me back tomorrow. I said that there's going to come a point soon when I need to raise this with my bank. He did call me back the next day but I was in a meeting and missed it. I called him back within 15 minutes but he didn't answer. I heard nothing further from him over the following days, despite calling and emailing, so I contacted my bank.

Fortunately I know to use a credit card when purchasing from companies I've not dealt with before, and within 5 minutes of talking to Mastercard they had refunded me and were picking up the issue with SDB themselves.

SDB certainly appear like a genuine company on the face of it - they were pleasant to talk to and gave me an email trail proving that the order was cancelled, which made getting the refund from Mastercard a breeze. However, if they are genuine, then why were they unable to process a simple refund? Something doesn't add up.

If you're considering buying from this company then I recommend using a credit (not debit) card, in case you have a similar experience to me.

Hele goede snelle communicatie, reageert snel op de mail.
Volgende dag konden we langs komen om te kijken.
Hele mooie zeer goede kwaliteit suar houten krabpaal, zelf kunnen samenstellen.
Zelfs een plankje korter zagen was zonder problemen of extra kosten.
En binnen 2 dagen was hij al geleverd!
Alleen maar top service!!

Wij hebben hier een hele mooie krabpaal gekocht. Goede kwaliteit hout en vriendelijk geholpen.

Helaas de communicatie als levering ging minder. In haast bezorgde hij de krabpaal en de 3 maandjes zonder schroeven, hij zei dat hij een huurauto had, dat hij dus haast had. De service hoe het gegaan is niet fijn. En achteraf zag ik op de krabpaal enorme scheuren, ik heb hier over gebeld en ook gemaild en foto’s gestuurd, geen antwoord. Bij de scheuren zag ik ook lijm stukken dat afbrokkelt. Je betaalt heel veel geld voor het product, ik denk dat het een 2de keuze was. Ik heb volle pond voor betaald!! Geen reactie op mijn mail !!

Excellent company to deal with from start to finish … we saw the Deluxe sofa in the showroom but then asked if it could be made to our specific measurements and a specific material… Zee was most helpful and accommodating and once ordered the sofa was made to measure and delivered within approximately 2 weeks. The sofa is well made, well finished and extremely comfortable.

We wanted 2 sofas a particular size, shape and colour and after visiting many other stores found this place via Google. We met Zee who was excellent in his manner and help. No phasing this guy.. Built from scratch within 2 week with everything we wanted. We even got free delivery and cushions thrown in.. By far the cheapest than all the other stores in Blackburn as they make them on site. 5 star service and product. Thank you.

I love the sofa I have received they are look amazing and the customer service was literally amazing they helped me with anything I asked them and responded back so quickly also updated me with pictures of the sofa letting me know it’s prepared and ready to be shipped. Also came on time and packed perfectly and protected really well.

Great people and easy to work with. Very happy with my sofas and would definitely recommend.

This was such an easy process, buying online is not something I would usually do, so was very nervous. There was absolutely no need the guys were great, really helpful they turned up when they said, moved everything for me carrying it into the house and relevant room, they were professional and organised. Overall fantastic service and the sofa was amazing quality. Would highly recommend these guys for service and quality.
