We made the decision to purchase our second Barwood Home and we were not disappointed. The service and support we received throughout the process and now into after sales has been fantastic and we are delighted with the quality and finish of our home. We are truly happy here and can’t thank you enough

Absolutely made up with our purchase at Heathe Gardens. Mandy was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the whole process and we cannot thank herself and her team enough for everything they have done for us. Highly recommended.

We have recently purchased a 4 bed detached in the Cherwell Rise development. From the beginning of the process to completion has been seamless with Debbie in the sales office to Bill overseeing any issues at the house. Handover was thorough and professional and the 7 day follow up completed without any queries. Having started life in the building trade I am equally impressed with the construction and finish. A special mention for Bill the site manager who really does go the extra mile to help whether it be addressing minor issues or giving advice on which fixings to use on the walls etc.

We were interested in buying a house on the Gilden Green site. I spoke to Jayne on several occasions over the phone and she contacted me to check the progress of the sale of our house.

When I then went to view a house on the site, Jayne called me Rebecca three times. I corrected her that was not my name but she continued to call me Rebecca. Jayne managed to call me my correct name over the phone but several times in person couldn’t seem to remember my name… funnily enough she could get my partners name right.

I have two friends who decided to buy houses on this site but Jayne then decided to tell our friends that I was viewing a house, which was private information which I hadn’t shared. This is a clear breach of GDPR and my sensitive information was shared without my permission.
This put me off buying a house on this site and we bought elsewhere.

I know of several issues with the houses on the Gilden Green site which have had issues, Barwood have not sorted them out therefore, avoid avoid avoid.

Beware! don’t believe all these positive reviews. They are all fake and been bribed with extra items to leave positive reviews. You have been warned!

After your reply I can guarantee that your reviews have been bribed, as I know people who you have asked to leave a positive review in exchange for extras in there house. Also a lot of people from my site have been asked to do the same.
Company is pathetic

A very well organised, professional company that always communicated efficiently. Excellent standard of build.

We're very happy with the whole process, from the very start until we moved in, and after that. The house is perfect for us - perfect location, nice little village, and the layout was exactly what we're looking for.
Debbie in sales was very helpful throughout the whole process.
The house had only a few very minor snags which have been quickly dealt with. Bill, the site manager, was always very quick in sorting them out.
We moved in a couple months ago and so far so good!

My mother has just bought a new home off bar wood and there isn’t a opening window in the main bedroom which is against regulations and very dangerous as the adjacent houses are connected so risk of fire is greater which means there is no mean of escape if there were fire this is illegal and against construction regulation, barwood are refusing to resolve the issue even though her snagging list had this on there which was submitted a month ago.

This house shouldn’t of been passed by local authority and is there for not fit for purpose.

We have contacted the HSE and now have seemed legal advice as barwood don’t want to know.

Do not buy from barwood homes this is a major issue.

£300,000 houses with non opening windows is insane.

Barwood Homes (Gilden Green estate in Gilmorton) have been exceptional. Jayne, Dave, Aki and all of the groundsmen have provided a first class service.

They have dealt with all queries in a timely manner and provided a surplus of information when required.
We were fortunate to have no chain when purchasing our home, however Jayne and the team ensured that they could finish the build and complete prior to the stamp duty rise; which they did.

For our family, Barwood Homes have gone above and beyond to meet our needs. Jayne is polite, professional and friendly and we felt at ease throughout the whole process. Dave and Aki have delivered when they said they would; the finish of the home is truly spectacular and the few snags have been cosmetic. The groundsmen and landscapers have been courteous whilst preparing the roads; moving barriers when necessary and ensuring we had access to our home whilst the estate was in it's final stages.

I have spoken to several neighbours who also have similar reviews. The staff on site here in Gilmorton have made this house move smooth and without fault. Everything you would want at a very stressful time.

Having spoken to Dave (site manager) today, I feel confident that if any issues arise in the future, I can contact the customer care team and no issue would be too small for them to assist.

I can't thank them enough for helping myself and my young family settle into our new home.

We've had a brilliant experience from start to finish when purchasing our new home. We initially dealt with Debbie on the purchase side of things, and then Bill the site manager regarding snagging. A special shout out as well to Jason the handyman who has gone out of his way to help us with snagging points and is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
Bill made sure everything ran smoothly and as quickly as possible for us which we are very grateful for.

From the time we decided to purchased this Barwood home Debbie the sales negotiator and Bill the Site Forman have been very helpful, nothing was too much trouble and always at the end of the phone if we had any queries.
We have purchased many new homes in the past and found it a pleasure to deal with Debbie and Bill.

The few problems we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Everyone we dealt with has been very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process and made the whole transition of moving house a whole lot easier, cannot thank them enough.

Honestly, a very very high quality of build. You hear horror stories in the media about the state of new builds, but our snagging list had very minor cosmetic snags which we were so happy with!

We had a long journey in purchasing our home, with our lender throwing a spanner in the works! But, we got there in the end. Barwood homes were patient and understanding and I will be forever grateful for that.

A huge thank you to Louise our Sales Rep, she has been nothing short of a god send.

Firstly I would just like to say wow. The house buying experience that we had with our Sales Advisor Jayne was second to none. From the moment we approached the sales office at Gilden Green, to the moment we were handed the keys to our new home was fabulous, we were greeted with the most friendly, professional service from Jayne throughout the process.

Every milestone that we passed in the house buying process was fully explained to us and we were given updates at key points. We rarely had to ask for information as Jayne was able to provide it beforehand. The time spent picking the choices for our home (as we bought of plan) was again a great process and we were not pressured into anything, there was no time limit. Jayne was able to advise what would be best for our budget and helped us create such a beautiful home. I must say that the options we had available as a standard choice were to a very high standard, which give our home those finishing touches.

Since moving into our new home, the on site manager Dave and his team have been there to help every step of the way. Any snags which were highlighted have been completed in a reasonable time frame and the contractors on site have helped us with anything that has been needed (paint as we chipped the walls).

Overall, we had such a great experience with Barwood and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy a house. Jayne managed to push our completion with our solicitors so that we were able to move in before Christmas. The only thing I would say that I was disappointed about would have been the lack of complimentary slabs in the garden for such a big brand new home.

Great service and helpful to ensure the purchase went smoothly. Aftercare was good and customer service follow-up was good. Still waiting for a small issue on the front door to be fixed, the only thing that prevents a 5 start review!

From the first viewing and reservation through to completion and beyond, we can't speak highly enough of Barwood.
As first time buyers, we weren't entirely sure what to expect or sure of the process, but Emma was fantastic at explaining during the viewing and reservation stages, as was Debbie as the sale progressed. Any information or help we needed was quickly provided, and we were kept up to date with the process as it moved forward.
From completion, Site Manager Bill was easy to contact, very friendly and approachable. He's always happy to share his knowledge and takes the time to check if there's anything he can help with whenever we see him. Customer care is very responsive - Hannah was excellent in managing a small issue in the garage, with a tradesman sent out within a day to resolve it.

Whenever we drive through developments built by other firms in the area, we always notice how much more thought has gone into Cherwell Rise, and how great a job Barwood have done. We're really happy with the design and build quality of the house and the ease with which we've been able to make it a home.

We have just moved in to Gilden Green and we are absolutely delighted at the fantastic support we have received to make it happen. Since our first visit to the Sales office Jayne has been incredibly helpful by arranging viewings, regularly updating us on the Sales progress and keeping us calm along the way. More recently Dave the site foreman has been very helpful, informative and responsive, helping us to settle in. We are so pleased that we decided to choose a Barwood home, Thank you.

We've been back again today for a 2nd viewing on a new home at the Gilden Green development in Gilmorton. It's a beautiful home and one that feels completely right for us and meets all of our criteria. The location is perfect too !
Jane has been super helpful, informative and flexible throughout our search and decision making process. We really hope that we can secure the home of our dreams at Gilden Green and are very excited!!
