I placed an order for shoes totalling £158, with “free shipping” advertised at checkout. There was no clear or prominent warning that I would be required to pay additional import duties. Only after the order was shipped did UPS demand £45 in charges, which made the purchase more expensive than buying the same items in the UK.
I refused delivery and the parcel was returned to the company. They confirmed in writing that I would receive a refund once the return was received. Tracking shows the parcel was delivered back to them on 23 February.
Despite this, they never issued a refund and stopped responding to my emails entirely. I had to raise a dispute with my bank to recover my money.
Very poor transparency and even worse customer service. I would not trust this company.

I just bought my second pair (Nile)which I did not feel was nearly as good quality and which broke on the second wearing. However, return and refund was quick and easy which redeemed the experience.

Compré unas deportivas de un número erróneo, he tenido q pagar la devolución y ahora me llega un correo con una tarjeta regalo. Una tarjeta regalo que ni quiero ni necesito. La compra la hice sin ningún tipo de rebaja ni cupón ni nada. Quisiera q me devolvieran MI DINERO por el medio q pague. Mal servicio post venta al comprar en la página web de Coolway. Me enviaron unas zapatillas manchadas, no sé si por estar usadas o por tener un defecto de fábrica, y no responden a los mensajes que les escribí. Como cobran la devolución, tendré que pagar por devolver un producto defectuoso.

they made me pay to ship my shoes back bc they said their system wouldn't issue labels. said i would be reimbursed. They received my returned shoes but wont issue me a refund or reimburse me for the shoes. Its been 4 months now and they just stop responding to me. the worst customer service i have ever dealt with and i wish i knew before i made purchase bc it seems like they do it regularly. I don't know how its legal. they said they would try to refund me if i provided my bank acct info - no way. That's ridiculous. They said they cant write checks or refund to card i made my purchase with. Said they could thru PayPal but shockingly their PayPal acct is down - prob bc they continually steal from people who pay with PayPal.

They were returned to the warehouse in Spain, but despite sending about ten emails (often without a response), I still haven't received a refund. The customer service is decent, they respond fairly quickly, but after that, there's no further communication. It's a rip-off.
Refund only after official complaint
Ignored my emails and refused proper refund (only gift card, against EU law). Only after I filed a complaint with ECC-Net did they refund the money the same day.
Unresponsive
Unfortunately, like the other one star reviews my complaint is about the customer service. I’ve reached out through every social media platform and sent multiple emails that I’ve never gotten a response. Their shoes run really small so I was just looking to place a return or do an exchange. I still have had no luck and will probably be out over $100.

I just received my runners after finding them in a shop in Bilbao. I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews as I’ve had the opposite experience and the reviews would have dissuaded me. Mine came very fast and are perfect and really comfortable. I’m delighted.
Zapatillas defectuosas
He comprado unas zapatillas y una de ellas viene con el tejido defectuoso. Les he escrito al correo de atención al cliente que indica y llevo más de una semana reclamando una respuesta que no llega y que esperaba antes de iniciar la devolución ya que como indican otras opiniones hay que volver a pagar gastos de envio. Que entiendo proceden si el motivo fuese por cambio de talla, modelo o simplemente por que no me gustan. Pero si el motivo es por defecto de fabricación o error de ellos no se debería cobrar gastos de devolución y tendrían que ser ellos quien asumieran su error o garantía del producto. No recomiendo comprar en su web. Si te gusta esta marca lo suyo es comprar en otras tiendas que ofrezcan un servicio de atención al cliente digno (Amazon, tiendas de deportes reconocías, etc…)

Pésima atención al cliente y gestión de compra y de devolución.
Me enviaron unas zapatillas que no corresponde el color con el de la web, a parte de la talla que no se corresponde. El servicio de reclamaciones fatal, no contestan, por mail tardan muchìsimo en contestar, las zapatillas tardaron casi un mes en enviármelas y otro tanto la gestión para devolverlas. Es una pena porque los diseños son bonitos, pero es imposible acertar con la talla y el modelo, porque cambia el formato de la zapatilla y ya cambia el número.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced
I placed an order for two pairs of trainers - same size, different styles. When I unpacked them I found that one pair was significantly smaller than the other (despite in theory being the same size) and therefore that pair didn't fit. Trying to return them has been six weeks of farce and frustration.
I don't have a printer and contacted their customer services to see if there's a printerless means of return. The info on their website and during the returns request is direly inadequate. I was initially told I'd selected the wrong returns method and advised that they'd cancelled my return so I could do it again. They hadn't and so I contacted them again. They then did cancel it but told me to choose the same returns option I'd chosen before. I spent four weeks trying to get them to explain how to make the return work without a printer and then I got an email that just said 'you need to find a means of printing the label.' Nothing else, just that. In fact, all of their replies were a single line, regardless of what my question was. They also took ages to reply, over a week in some cases, and email is the only means of contact.
I then noted that the customs invoices had the wrong item on them. After trying to get a response on that point three times I was told it didn't matter. Again, no explanation as to why it didn't matter. It seems to me like something that would matter very much. I don't trust that having the wrong item listed on the customs invoice is not going to cause problems. So I'm now stuck with a pair of expensive trainers that are way too small.
It's galling to just give up, but seeing the reviews here makes me think that sending the trainers back is likely to make things worse not better. Coolway also ignored my request for them to send me their complaints policy; I may send a complaint anyway, but expect another one line response!
The pair of trainers that fit are actually really great so what a huge shame that they put off potential repeat custom in this way.
Refused a refund.. only store credit. Very poor
I ordered shoes in the blackfriday sale to the uk. They were Christmas presents for my daughters. Unfortunately, they did not fit so I had to return them. I wanted a refund to my original payment method but was informed that the refund had to be made to a gift card. I then used the gift card to reorder bigger sizes. At checkout there was no indication of custom charges due on goods shipped to the uk. The cost of the customs would have been nesrly as much as a pair of shoes so would have been crazy to accept. Once more I have been told that I have been refunded onto a gift certificate despite making it clear on numerous occasions that I just want a refund. I will NEVER buy from Coolway again. Their policy on refund is unfair and unreasonable.
