I bought a pair of ballet flats from Alohas for £150, and the product description said the upper was 100% leather. After a few weeks of light wear, a very slight scuff took off a small section of the top layer of the upper. You would not expect leather to be this fragile, and I note that the leather exposed by the scuff is a completely different colour to the top layer. Leather dye would penetrate more deeply than this, which means that the top layer is just a coloured plastic coating, and not leather as it is described, which would explain why it came off so easily when scuffed.
Also, the exposed leather has such a loose fibre structure, that it comes apart when gently rubbed, again not how leather should behave. I have done such research and the only way you can get such low quality and fragile "leather" is by making what is called bonded leather. This is where you grind up leather scraps into fibres, and then glue then together. You can't legally sell bonded leather as leather in the UK as Alohas do, so they are outright lying about the materials their products are made of.
If you buy from Alohas, you are getting products that Temu would be embarrassed to sell, but for many times the price.
Ordered on April 2 and it’s now April 16 and I haven’t received anything. I’ve tried to contact them but no reply.

Nu er der så gået 24 timer uden svar fra live chat samt 5 dage siden jeg skrev til kundeservice. Ligeledes ingen respons efter Trustpilot svar og tilsagn om nu kom der hurtigt svar..
Så tror det de kalder kundeservice er AI generet standard svar. ØV. Så det sker ikke noget ved at skrive til dem.
Har ventet mere end 10 dage på min pakke med ordre nr INT899438 efter den er meldt afsendt. Pengene har de trukket for 10 dage siden.. her er var Alohas hurtige på tasterne...

The customer service team was very nice when I had to exchange my boots. The new pair fits better, but they still rub a bit on the heels.

Kann eine Bestellung nicht empfehlen. Gefühlt 100 Marketing Emails erhalten seit dem ersten Kontakt.

Très mauvaise qualité pour le prix payé. Une paire de mocassins à boucle à 200€, chaussures qui se déforment très très rapidement, boucle qui casse, finition mediocre( même Zara a de meilleurs finitions couture)… bref jamais je rachèterais.

Extremely dissatisfied
I used to love ALOHAS. I own a pair of ballerinas from the brand that I absolutely adore, which is why I decided to buy loafers as a Christmas gift for myself.
When I went to the store, I was repeatedly told the same thing: the loafers were not available and had to be made to order, with a production time of 2 to 3 months. I accepted that and decided to order them for my birthday in March instead.
When the shoes finally arrived, they were too big. This was especially disappointing because I had gone to the store in advance, tried on as many models as possible, and made sure I had the correct size for the brand. I returned them, and when I was asked whether I wanted a replacement in a smaller size, I happily said yes.
The replacement did not arrive in time for my birthday, which was disappointing but still acceptable. What I found strange was that I never received any shipping or tracking update. After I contacted customer service myself, I was informed that they had decided not to send me the replacement shoes after all.
What made the experience even worse was that I was not refunded automatically. I had to ask for my money back. The discount they offered as compensation was also disappointing, because to make it worthwhile I would have needed to buy two pairs instead of the one pair I originally wanted.
The lack of communication, transparency, and basic customer care throughout this process has been extremely frustrating. I went from loving this brand to feeling completely disappointed by it.

Zapatillas muy bonitas y bien hechas. Tuve que esperar varios meses pero como estaba avisado, no ha sido un problema.
Lo que deberían de mejorar muy mucho son las plantillas. No son acordes al precio que se paga.
This online shop is a scam, if you have to send an item back, because it doesn’t fit, they charge more then 20% of the initial price.

Interessanterweise hätten die Stiefletten erst Ende September 2026 geliefert werden sollen, Anfang März waren sie auf einmal ohne jede Erklärung und sinnvolle Antwort auf meine Rückfrage da. Wäre natürlich kein Problem, vor allem wenn die Qualität gepasst hätte, so bleibt aber ein seltsamer Beigeschmack über. Schade. War einen Versuch wert, ich fand das Geschäftsmodell spannend, aber so macht das keinen Spaß.

Ah, the modern retail trick: cloak logistical incompetence in a tasteful shade of “sustainability” and hope nobody notices the wheels have come off entirely.
This company appears to have perfected the art. I have never experienced service quite this poor, nor delivery quite this imaginative. Communication is sparse, which one assumes is because they are extremely busy responding to the many other customers wondering where on earth their orders have gone.
I ordered a pair of shoes more than six months ago. They have yet to arrive. I am now told it will be at least another two months. Previous delivery estimates, confidently offered, turned out to have roughly the same relationship to reality as a horoscope.
Even more impressively, they decided it would be environmentally virtuous not to send the other two pairs of shoes from the same order, despite those being available immediately. Apparently the planet could only be saved by holding everything hostage for the better part of eight months. Quite how delaying shoes by most of a year qualifies as green policy remains a mystery, but it does have the convenient side effect of disguising an utterly broken fulfilment process.
Of course, if this meant waiting a few extra days, perhaps even a week, one might applaud the effort. Eight months, however, begins to feel less like sustainability and more like theatre.
My advice would be to shop somewhere else entirely. But if you absolutely must buy from them, never, under any circumstances, order multiple items in one go. It seems they prefer to keep them all together. Possibly forever.

Terrible customer service. Ordered shoes 3 months ago but still no sign of them and no tracking information. No contact phone number, just an email address and continually being fobbed off. Would not order from again.

Hele slechte klantenservice. Heb 2 maanden gewacht op mijn schoenen, die ook nog eens beschadigd aankwamen. Ze gaven aan dat dit normaal is en wilden niet met een compensatie komen.

The worst CS experience I’ve had, shoes took two months to arrive despite being initially told 1-2 weeks. Offered no compensation CS team difficult to get hold of and when I eventually did offered conflicting information re the issue. Overall very disappointed having paid £150 would expect higher standards. Also the environmental excuse doesn’t stand up when your error resulted in the shoes being shipped back and forth between the uk and Barcelona - think that would be unsustainable don’t you? Maybe read up on the context of the case before you reply !

Update 17th March 2026 ... Three months after original experience. Contrary to Alohas assurance that they had not mailed a further product I subsequently received an unsolicited order. I have attempted to return this product but the label they have generated is not valid, further as they have not supplied a QR code I am required to cover the cost of printing the label. While customer service are polite and responsive they have not resolved the matter. It is causing undue costs, time and stress and I would very much like Alohas to resolve it and facilitate a return of the product at their cost.
.................................................................Partial refund now issued (awaiting confirmation).I am grateful for the fast response of customer service although sad that it took a dispute and a negative review. I would still like a full refund due to the inconvenience stress and extra costs that have been incurred. Contrary to the companies claim, the original product was not purchased by gift card and the return could have been easily reconciled. This appears to be something they are aware of and which they could have avoided but chose not to. Please take more care and respect your customers, they are integral to the success of the company.

Alohas confirmed that they accepted the return and had issued a refund in December 2025. It is now February 2026, still no refund. Three days ago I started receiving shipping emails from a courier stating a parcel from Alohas (which they had confirmed they had accepted as a return) is due to be delivered. Each day I receive a new message with a new delivery date. There has been no new dispatch notification from Alohas. This looks fraudulent. I do not recommend this company.

I placed a pre-order with these guys since October, and I sent a reminder when the delivery window came as I have had a bad experience in a previous order. Only for them to say there is a 2 weeks delay with another 10 day window.
Worst customer experience, they never inform you about the delay until you ask about the order.
Would never buy again.
