Contact out allows me to successfully do my job in a way that I wouldn’t be able to do without it. It’s accurate, reliable and always gets the job done. Very seamless to use and provides great and accurate info!

Love the ContactOut system, no need to train personnel how to use it or faulty/inaccurate data, what you see is what you get. I personally use this for recruiting on an hourly basis and it's worked much better than the vast majority of the services I used prior to discovering ContactOut.

As many people here, Contactout published old data about me without my consent. If they don't remove it soon then I will go to the police.

They publish and sell outdated, therefore inaccurate data from my LinkedIn profile – without consent.

Of course, I made use of the Opt-out Form.
“My profile will be deleted within 30 (!) days“.

Disgraceful.

Update: My profile hasn't been deleted. I reported a GDPR violation.

Same as other reviews. Using old / stolen data, no way to remove (system flawed) and copy / paste generic response before they stop responding. Under GDPR this would fall under “intentional”

This company acquired my stolen personal information from a Linkedin data leak and published it on their website without my consent. The process of opting out took a week.
Communication was terrible. When I asked how they acquired my personal information, they copypasted and mailed me this message:

"ContactOut sources contact information by scraping information from the public internet in a similar manner to other search engine like Google. Sites include, forums, blogs, social media profiles, and other websites. Because you have made your contact data publicly available on the internet, there is implied consent that you are open to receive communications."

After sending this, they stopped replying to my emails. So I reported them to the San Francisco police. The same day I reported them, my unwanted contactout.com profile was deleted. Coincidence?

I suggest reporting data theft to the police.

This is a fraud. Posting my old info without permission!

Posting my contact information without my consent surely must be in violation with GDPR. I strongly urge you to take down this information.

Fraudsters. Using my data with out my concern. Even after complained so many times, yes So many times by internal form as well as email, I didn’t receive any response also my data hasn’t removed. I escalated it to ioc.org.uk finally the case got resolved all removed. All it took just 5 months.

Same as other reviews, spamming my email saying I have not used feature since I got it, never asked for it

fake old information - complete fraud

Same as the other repliers here: no explicit consent required, which is one thing. The thing that really bothers me is that it is using (very) old data of mine! A description I once made and now don't endorse anymore!
I was/am considering a request for opt out, and got a warning that it might not work and be even more a signal of them to continue with my data!

Fraud!
They publish and sell stolen personal information - including mine! Surely they are breaking the law, in regards to GDPR!

Publishing personal contact information which can be uncovered, without permission.

They have been handing out my personal information to companies illegally without my consent.

Why is this legal? I would understand if this was only accessible to recruitment or other accredited professionals, but any random person can google my name and find old info about me. Someone please take this down.
