Really, really poor cleaning quality 1 out of 4 times that I’ve tried this service. On top of that, they charged me twice for the same service and up until now, almost a month later, it’s unclear when I will get my money back!

This company is a joke. It’s been almost a month since I completed a cleaning job for them, and I still haven’t been paid. Every time I follow up, they only respond with excuses and promises that payment is coming, but nothing ever happens.

This is completely unacceptable. Everyone who works deserves to be paid on time.

On top of that, there is virtually no support when you need help. If you try to contact them about an issue, it can take three days or more to get a response. If you’re in a situation where you need immediate assistance, don’t expect any help—they simply don’t seem to care.

I would not recommend working for this company based on my experience.

booked Cleanster for an 11:00 a.m. cleaning appointment to prepare my home for a dinner party. I specifically took the time to carefully select a highly rated cleaner based on her reviews because I wanted to ensure the job was done well.

At 10:35 a.m., I received a call informing me that my cleaner had developed a fever and could no longer make it. While I understand that illness happens, I had arranged my entire day around this 4.5-hour appointment. They asked if I could accommodate a replacement at 1:30 p.m., and despite the inconvenience, I agreed.

At 1:30 p.m., no one showed up. Instead, I received an email saying someone named Ivy was approximately 25 minutes away. I had already called the company because they were late, but no one answered, so I left a voicemail. Shortly afterward, I received a text saying that a male cleaner was actually on the way.

When I finally got through to someone, I explained that not only was the replacement already over 30 minutes late, but I was also not comfortable being alone in my home with a male cleaner. I had specifically selected a female cleaner, and I think it's reasonable for a company entering people's homes to recognize that some women have legitimate safety concerns. At the very least, this should have been discussed with me before sending a completely different person.

Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that their text messages before the appointment instructed me to "secure my valuables." While that's probably intended as a standard precaution, it doesn't inspire much confidence in a company that should be thoroughly vetting the people they're sending into customers' homes.

To make matters worse, this wasn't my first experience with Cleanster. I had booked them once several years ago at a different address. Since then, they've repeatedly called, texted, and emailed me with promotions—even after I unsubscribed from marketing emails and explicitly asked over the phone to be removed from their contact lists. Ironically, the only reason I booked them again was because they continued sending me promotional codes.

After wasting my entire day, I asked if they could offer any compensation for the inconvenience. I was told they couldn't because I had already used a discount code, and instead they offered me another promo code for a future booking. They also said they'd have to "create a ticket" just to determine whether I could even receive a refund.

By 2:00 p.m., I gave up waiting and cleaned the house myself. Had they been upfront from the beginning, I could have simply done that at 11:00 a.m. instead of losing an entire day.

This was an incredibly unprofessional experience from start to finish. Poor communication, repeated delays, disregard for customer preferences and safety concerns, relentless marketing despite unsubscribe requests, and no meaningful effort to make things right. I won't be using Cleanster again, and I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time.

I cleaned an apartment from cleanster pro. She called me and I spoke with her when I’ve arrived and called the client on three-way to get in her home because she wasn’t there. This was July 15, 2026. I been sending messages and chats about my payment I never received for the cleaning and I put in extra time. They told me I should’ve gotten with a couple days and it the 28th and still haven’t received my payment I worked very hard and spent time at that apartment. Now I go to the app and it’s like they’ve blocked me off or took the app down and not getting and respond back about the payment. It’s not right I worked on a last minute request and worked the way I did and added extra time but didn’t mind because I have a cleaning business and I make sure all my clients are satisfied.

DO NOT WORK FOR THEM… They pay low and will not pay you on time .. Today I was reminded why I didn’t pick up jobs .. I have yet to be paid for a job I did a week ago

Do not book. This company are lying scammers. I booked two weeks in advance. I noticed on the app that a cleaner hadn’t been confirmed 3 days before the clean was booked. I reached out and they assured me that everything was in hand. After taking payment and after the clean was booked they got in touch to tell me unfortunately they hadn’t been able to arrange a cleaner.

How bout us cleaners file theft of services and put Liens on places we already cleaned

I used Cleanster back in May, and while the cleaner that came provided great service, the real issues came weeks later. I sadly found out that Cleanster never paid the cleaner. They charged my card, debited the money, and 30 days past, and the cleaner was obviously upset, and so I paid her directly, and gave her a big tip. She came back to my house, showed me the app on her phone, showed me she reached out several times about the issues, and zero response. She's a working mother, and the cleaning app she signed up for, performed the job for, and did well never paid her. After some Google searching, I found this was sadly the norm for this company. They charge clients, but don't pay out the cleaners. Another case of Fraud in America. It's also very sad because I connected professionally with Derrick, one of the founders. Very nice guy, we had good conversations, and even discussed the possibility of working together professionally. However, after reaching back out to him regarding the issue, as you could assume, nothing but crickets. Zero response. I strongly suggest you do not use this company, unless you want the outcome I wrote about above. To Derrick, be ethical and professional to your cleaners, and your clients. Karma is a real thing, and nobody is exempt from it.

Cleaning pro is the best love work with them got more clients

They don't give you jobs . Its sporadic. They don't pay you. Its more than 2weeks and im still waiting to receive my pay. No response.

I spent $25 on a background check to get one job in a two month time period. One job that paid $80 for 6 hours of work. It took Cleanster a month and many texts and emails asking for my pay for them to send it to my Venmo.

The company is a scam. The owners Derrick & Gloria do not care about their employees. It took threatening with a class action to even be paid.

BEWARE OD THIS COMPANY!

I can't really speak on a positive experience quite yet until I get paid but the reps are pretty nice and helpful. Once I receive my payment I can update the stars. But the client I cleaned for was very nice.

I use them for my business (Gym) and also when I had to move out, they did a deep cleaning move out. Consistently good service for both my gym bathrooms/shower area. Very affordable for weekly cleaning. Would recommend!

Well I learned the lesson the hard way. I did my first cleaning last 23 April and guess what, 27 May now and still never paid? :( Multiple emails but no reply

For other cleaners who needs extra bucks, pls look for alternatives and not this app

Do not respond to support emails and will invoice you repeatedly for cleanings that do not happen. Highly illegal, probable scam.

This company does not pay! They want you to work for free they make twice as moch as you do per job and still a month later you wont be paid! You can call all 4 numbers and no answer and dont even wawte your time on a email because they never respond. Oh and if you happen to get a answer on the phone all they say is how they are getting in contact with the billing department which means nothing 2 weeks later still nothing. Its all a scam

I worked for and completed three cleaning assignments in early November 2025. Each job was completed successfully, and I received highly positive client feedback. In fact, all but one of the clients specifically requested that I return for future cleanings.
Despite fulfilling these assignments to a high standard, as of May 2026 I have still not received payment for my work. The total amount owed, including base pay, boosts, and bonuses that were assigned to these bookings, is approximately $300.
Since completing these jobs, I have made numerous attempts to resolve this matter through every available communication channel, including text messages, emails, in-app messages, and repeated phone calls to every contact number previously used to reach me. None of these efforts have resulted in payment or meaningful communication.
I also retained legal counsel to draft and send a formal demand for payment. While I received no direct response, I have evidence indicating that this demand was received. Specifically, the message was removed from my in-app inbox after being sent, creating the appearance that it had never been submitted. Fortunately, I documented this communication with screenshots before it was deleted.
On one of the few occasions I was able to speak directly with a company representative, I was contacted and asked to accept a same-day cleaning assignment on very short notice. Recognizing this as a potential opportunity to resolve the outstanding payment issue, I agreed only on the condition that I first receive payment for the work I had already completed.
The representative declined, offering several explanations as to why immediate payment was not possible. Based on information from another cleaner who referred me to the platform and experienced a similar issue, I have reason to believe these explanations were inaccurate, as her payment was issued immediately when she raised the same concern.
What was most concerning was being told that if I declined the assignment under these circumstances, I would no longer be offered future bookings through the platform. In effect, I was being threatened with termination for refusing to continue working after never having been paid for prior completed assignments.
This experience has caused significant financial hardship and has had a serious impact on my stability.
I am sharing this account as a warning to anyone considering working for or doing business with Cleanster. My experience raises serious concerns regarding payment practices, communication transparency, and professional treatment of workers. I strongly urge prospective cleaners to proceed with extreme caution.

I won a free cleaning through instagram. I've emailed twice in the last month to claim my free cleaning and have yet to hear back. Very disappointing customer service.

Cleanster is a fraudulent scam that hires cleaners to clean, but don’t pay the cleaners. Cleanster keeps all the money and don’t pay the cleaners for personal gain. Do not clean for this company you will not be paid! Do not hire Cleaners from Cleanster because they do not pay the cleaners. This company needs to be sued and shut down immediately!

I have taken jobs from there before had no issues with Payment. The second time around is horrible. They only almost $400 since March. I normally get paid the same day or next day. Payment now it says it’s in transit. That’s for a bank confirmation cause they can’t pay me through PayPal no more. And when you look on the app says that it’s in transit, I should’ve got it first. It was a Mark 25th, 28th for each one. It was different dates now it’s says it was April 3, April 4, April 6, but still no Payment. None of them Answer. Their phones. Don’t return Text messages. Don’t return emails. They are ripped off horrible but they’re on you like glue. When you take a job for them to make sure that you make their money cause they’ve been paid already. Horrible company to work for you’ll never get paid. So now I am going to court to sue them.
