I have been looking for a good place to buy woven wool fabric (that is not made for coats) for ages (especially a seller located in my country of the Netherlands to save both postal costs and emissions) and after literal months of searching (and giving up finding a seller in the Netherlands), finally my google search results showed me classicfabrics. I was almost afraid of it being a scam because it seemed too good to be true, especially after months of looking for a seller like this and not seeing them in my search results, but their social media presence convinced me they were real. The fabrics are affordable, they arrived quickly and were packaged nicely, which is always nice. The fine diamond twill (169 grams) is literally the nicest, prettiest fabric I have ever worked with in my life, although that might in part be because I am a poor student with only a few years of sewing experience- but still it is SO pretty. 10/10 would recommend (in fact, I have literally recommended the site to a few friends) and I will definitely be buying from them again for future projects!

The material, herringbone linnen plus 3 spools of thread arrived this week. The linnen is even more beautiful than I imagined. I am looking forward to working with it.
The website is easy to work with. The only thing I would like is white linnen thread for sewing.

Ik kocht drie verschillende stoffen, 1 linnen en twee wollen. Van de linnen naaide ik een jurk, de stof bleek na dragen helaas niet goed. Ik mailde met de eigenaar die direct reageerde en zelf de stof testte en mij een volledige refund gaf voor die stof plus nog de portokosten. Ook haalde hij de stof direct uit zijn assortiment. Zo’n geweldige service ben ik nog niet vaak tegengekomen, echt zo fijn! De wollen stoffen zien er uitstekend uit en moet ik nog gaan verwerken tot kledingstukken.
