A couple of years ago I bought two covers to keep my beloved Alfa Romeo protected and dry. The shortie cover takes seconds to fit and remove and I use it mostly. The large cover protects the whole car and I tend to use it either in the Winter or when I don’t plan to drive the car for a while. It also protected my car during the fall-out of firework night!
Both covers are exceptional - strong, waterproof and fit well.
Also, the customer service received during the recent Classic Car show was exceptional.

So far, it’s been an excellent experience. I’ve been using a couple of cover brands until now (since around 2018). Stormforce (not this company!) billed theirs as all year round, and initially they had a 2 year warranty: just as well, as I got that cover replaced twice.

After moving off stormforce, I bought a generic oxford fabric cover off amazon, which was (surprise surprise) incorrectly described - no lining. It was thin, but it worked for a while.

When that cover finally gave up, I decided I’d buy something different which might live up to the claims made by the company.

After my previous experiences, I did a fair bit of searching, finding the usual storefronts drop shipping cheap Chinese “oxford” covers overwhelming most results, and filtering their Tristpilot reviews relentless. A numbers game separating people from 3 figure sums for what looked like £30 garbage from Amazon.

Apart from these guys: classic additions. All the signs were good: a company established for decades, with what looked like a profile on trustpilot which matched the glowing reviews on the website.

My needs are simple, but demanding - I need an all weather cover which stays on the car whenever I’m not using it, winter or summer. I opted for their neoprene-like Ultimate Weatherproof Outdoor cover in grey, with mirror pockets: size LL for a BMW 4 series.

Ordered perhaps 13:20, their promise of next day delivery was achieved nicely. Not only that, the extra instructions for delivery I added (critical for where I live) were printed on A5 paper and stuck to the top of the box, in a plastic sleeve. Now I’m impressed. They used DPD, not Evri (thank god). Another plus.

I fitted the cover on the car on the day I got it - a couple of hours ago. I’m very impressed. The fit is good - length is excellent. The elastic feels like it’ll last, and it’s strong. The cover has a reassuring weight. The strap lock clips have their own, double sewn pockets at both the corners, and the centre of the cover, and there’s even reinforced tie holes there for total security. The straps are good quality, with solid clips. Everything about this cover feels like it should last, which is great as it’s an expensive piece of protection. The warranty on manufacture is reassuring.

Longevity? We will see. What I can say is that this cover feels like it’s made to last, has great features and fits the car well.

And the purchase experience was easy, including a lengthy online chat with an agent who definitely knew about the product (even mentioning that the stormforce covers and their flaking surface coating are definitely not built to last, and contrasting with the completely different material used in the cover I’ve bought. I have high hopes.

We’re about to get hit with storm Claudia: if I remember, I’ll update with some details on how well the cover handles wind and heavy rain.

Excellent covers. I've just purchased another Ultimate for my Porsche - the second purchase for me from Classic Additions. The first easily lasted 6 years and I've only changed it as it was looking a little grubby, otherwise it was working well. Happy to recommend the company and their covers. Excellent product and service, at a very reasonable price for a fitted, breathable outdoor cover.
