Space is great, very good for anyone's with physical disabilities.
Open planned kitchen and living area
Good sized garden and parking area.
Housekeeping are very good also.
Location is 5* st Michael's mount less than 15 minutes away pretty local beaches less than 5 minutes away etc..
Our biggest compliment would be that this was our second visit to the property and will go again.

From start to finish it was all good easy to book quick replies to questions all pictures were as the apartment in real life so no nasty surprises on arrival id not used this company before and was apprehensive to start but soon as we arrived i was at ease .Would i use them again yeah i would thanks to all involved we had a great time till next time 👍

Fantastic experience with Classic Cottages

We had a wonderful experience booking our family holiday through Classic Cottages and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

The whole process was incredibly easy, from booking through to arrival, and the information provided before our stay was clear and helpful. Check-in using the key lock worked perfectly and our cottage was beautifully clean and exactly as described.

What particularly impressed us was the customer service when we experienced a power cut one evening. We initially didn’t realise it was a wider power cut and, as we couldn’t access the fuse box, called the Classic Cottages out-of-hours number. We received a call back within just seven minutes from an incredibly helpful member of staff, which was so reassuring and really demonstrated the level of support available should you need it.

We had such a lovely holiday and made some wonderful family memories. From the straightforward booking process to the excellent support during our stay, we were really impressed with Classic Cottages and would very happily book with them again. Highly recommended!

Barbridge Cottage
We had the loveliest stay in this gorgeous cottage, set in beautiful surroundings. Sally and Justin are wonderful hosts — friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The information they provided about things to do and places to visit in the area was incredibly detailed and very much appreciated.
We were also greeted with a lovely welcome package of goodies, including fresh eggs from their chickens. The grounds are stunning, and they even have alpacas, which our granddaughter was able to help feed — she was absolutely ecstatic!
We were lucky enough to have great weather, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is excellent too, with Bridport not far away and Hive Beach close by.
A wonderful cottage in a beautiful part of Dorset — we had a fabulous stay and would happily recommend Barbridge Cottage.

Arcus St Ives- Fabulous property with lovely views of the sea. The property had everything you would need and the space was great for a family of four. Loved the decor and finishing touches to the property. Great location, near Portminster beach. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again.

Booked a stunning holiday rental in Falmouth, Pendennis Tides, a year ago. Was impressed by the description of stunning views across the harbour and relaxing on the balcony looking at boats in the marina. Unfortunately three weeks or so before the booking on 5th September they informed me that maintenance was scheduled from August until November, with scaffolding, cleaning, repairs and painting. Not exactly what I had imagined. After many emails Classic Cottages eventually agreed to a full refund. Two stars as I appreciate this was out of their control but it was a stressful experience.

This was a very last minute booking, but everything went according to plan, including the weather playing ball! The cottage is next to the owners' property where there is also a pottery workshop and kiln in the grounds. The cottage met all expectations and was very comfortable and right off the beaten track. Fully recommended

★☆☆☆☆ Rossmoyne – extremely disappointing property and an even more disappointing experience with Classic Cottages

Rossmoyne, Port Isaac – booked through Classic Cottages

I would strongly recommend anyone considering booking Rossmoyne to think very carefully before doing so.

We paid £4,631 for what was supposed to be a quality holiday home. When we arrived, we were genuinely shocked by the condition of the property. It was dirty, poorly maintained and had numerous issues which, in our view, made it completely unsuitable for the holiday we had booked.

We did not stay at Rossmoyne. We left immediately after seeing the condition of the property.

This was not a case of staying for the holiday and subsequently complaining about a few minor issues. We arrived, inspected the property and considered the condition unacceptable, so we left and immediately contacted Classic Cottages to raise a formal complaint.

What followed was almost as frustrating as the condition of the property itself.

Classic Cottages initially offered us a 50% refund, which we considered completely inadequate given the circumstances.

They then attempted to direct us towards the property owners to resolve the matter and recover our money from them. Quite frankly, I found this extraordinary. We had booked and paid through Classic Cottages, yet we were effectively being told to deal with the owners ourselves to recover our money.

Communication throughout the process was also extremely poor. At one stage we were told that the owners were not responding to Classic Cottages' calls or emails, leaving us stuck in the middle and repeatedly having to chase for updates.

The most concerning part was when Classic Cottages told us that the money had already been paid to the owners.

I subsequently looked into Classic Cottages' published owner payment arrangements, which state that payment is made to the owner on the 10th of the month following the date of the holiday. Our holiday dates were 31 July to 14 August, yet on 5 August we were being told that the money was already with the owner.

I therefore asked Classic Cottages to clarify exactly when the money had been transferred and requested evidence of the payment, as I needed the information for my solicitor.

Following this, Classic Cottages ultimately agreed to issue a full refund of £4,631.

I do acknowledge that they eventually refunded the full amount, and Joel, who dealt with the complaint, ultimately worked towards getting the matter resolved. However, the fact that it required this level of persistence, escalation and scrutiny before a full refund was agreed is extremely disappointing.

Classic Cottages' own Area Manager inspected Rossmoyne and subsequently confirmed in writing that the property "was not to the standard that we expect" and required attention.

For me, that is significant.

When you spend £4,631 on a holiday, you should be able to expect the property to be clean, properly maintained and as represented when you arrive. And if a property is in such a condition that guests feel they cannot even stay there, you should expect the company you booked through to take responsibility and resolve the issue promptly.

Unfortunately, our experience with Rossmoyne and Classic Cottages was extremely poor.

We would never book Rossmoyne again and, based on our experience, we would not use Classic Cottages again either.

For anyone looking for accommodation in Port Isaac, we would instead recommend looking at Port Isaac Bay Holidays, who provided us with a far better experience.

Do your research before booking Rossmoyne and don't rely solely on the photographs and description presented in the listing.

Apple cottage was a slice of paradise. It was in a perfect location in the country in the grounds of a Country house. Great walks through the countryside and woods and with only a 15 min walk to the sea front, of Penzance, it gave the best of both worlds. The cottage was immaculate and had all the appliances you need for a holiday including an air fryer. Two good size bedrooms, both with en suite. Great outside space for relaxing, parking and a BBQ. Will go again.

Our first time using Classic Cottages and our first time staying in Portscatho. We normally stay in St Mawes, but we’ve absolutely loved it here.
The cottage (Seabrook) was comfortable and perfect for us with a party of 5 and a small dog, the village is peaceful (Does have a great put which on certain nights is great fun), and the walks around the area have been brilliant. We spent plenty of time sitting out in the sun and exploring the coast path, and every day felt easy and relaxing.
We’ll definitely be back — already looking forward to our next visit.

Easy to book, high standard of accomodation, great and timely information. No issues and well managed.

We booked Smugglers Cottage in Porthleven through Classic Cottages and, unfortunately, the experience has left us unlikely to book with them again.

During our week-long stay, there was no WiFi at all. We reported this to the housekeeper on arrival and were simply asked to let her know when it came back on. It never did. We also found that some of the cookware had not been properly cleaned, the floor was sticky, and there was a strange fuel or diesel-like smell downstairs in the cottage.

We included all of this in the review we submitted to Classic Cottages after our stay. More than a month later, that review has still not been published.

From looking at other Trustpilot reviews, it seems that reviews are verified and details confirmed with property owners before publication. I find this an odd approach to customer feedback. Guests are paying customers reporting their experience of a property; allowing an owner to effectively verify that experience before a review appears risks undermining the purpose of independent reviews in the first place.

What has disappointed me most, however, is the lack of any meaningful follow-up. I work in a customer-focused role myself, and if a customer left a review on our site saying they had no WiFi for an entire week alongside concerns about cleanliness and an unusual smell in a property, I would expect that feedback to be flagged and the customer contacted — even if simply as a courtesy.

Instead, we have heard nothing about the issues we raised, while continuing to receive marketing emails inviting us to book our next Classic Cottages holiday.

Good customer service isn't just about collecting positive reviews; it's about how you respond when a customer's experience falls short. Unfortunately, our experience has given us very little confidence in either Classic Cottages' review process or its approach to post-stay customer care.

We won't be booking with them again.

We have used Classic Cottages in the past and have been pleased with the overall service from them which is why we chose to rent one of their properties to celebrate our 25th anniversary in July. Dealing with Classic is generally good, the site is easy to use and they are efficient and keep you informed majority of the time. However it has come to the attention of many of their customers including us that when having problems with a property the 'bad' review is never to be seen on their site. This has happened to us with the review for our last property 'Challadene' in Bigbury on Sea, Devon. On arrival at Challadene none of the south facing blinds had been pulled down as requested and due to the temperature being above 30 degrees the lounge and kitchen were like a furnace and a few hours before we could use it. The blinds in the lounge for the sliding doors were broken as only one reached the bottom of the door and the other only half way. Due to the property being South facing the sun was so intense we had to use a blanket and cushions to keep out the rays. The rest of the blinds in the lounge either wouldn't pull down or could not be closed. There were no basic provisions left in the kitchen such as salt and pepper and no hand wash in the bathrooms like other properties we have stayed in. The ignition on the cooker did not work and again nothing provided to use such as matches or a lighter. A two slice toaster and 5 wine glasses in a property that houses 12 people is unforgivable. Although the kitchen area and all bathrooms were lovely the rest of the property was not and the word 'tired' springs to mind. The large sofa was worn out and dirty and has seen better days and the 'leather ' sofa is falling apart with gaping holes in the sides of the cushions. The majority of the furniture and decor in the bedrooms is also extremely worn and shabby looking. The pillows, pillow protectors and duvets in the property were old, yellow in colour and need replacing. The bedding and towels in the Master had also seen better days as the duvet had an M&S St Michaels label which ceased to exist in 2000! There was a loose tile on the floor by the shower in the upstairs bathroom which caused water to leak through the ceiling into the bed/bedroom below. The duvet in the bedroom off the lounge was stained with blood. The view from both of the downstairs bedroom windows is awful as the concrete wall outside could have at least been painted or a screen put up to hide the building site look. The chairs outside the property on the patio were an absolute disgrace, they were totally falling apart with wobbly framework and broken arms and extremely dangerous especially if children were about. The cushions were old and grubby and the white on the chairs came off on our clothes. They are only fit to be used as firewood. The TV was yet another issue as only a couple of channels could be viewed plus one news channel on SKY. There was no reception whatsoever on BBC. This was because the TV had not been set up properly which should have been done/checked before our arrival. I wasted so much holiday time on the phone trying to sort this out. Thankfully someone from maintenance eventually came to reset it but we wasted all morning waiting for her to arrive. We had far more problems with this property than any other we have rented over several years and ironically it was the most expensive at £2,500 for one week's stay. As we had decided on Challadene to celebrate our Silver Anniversary all in all it was a bitter disappointment. We have not seen this review on Classic and neither have we had a reply regarding the review or any apology for the issues we endured during our stay. For this reason we will not be using Classic Cottages again in the future or recommending them to family and friends as we have in the past.

Classic cottages are a great company to book a holiday with. We have used them on numerous occasions. There booking system is easy to use, they have a great number of locations and holiday homes to choose from at competitive price. Would highly recommend the company. Cannot fault the communication from start to finish.

When we book, it’s so easy to do and they keep you informed and upto date with everything. They let you know what you’ve paid and when you need to pay the next instalment by. When it gets near the holiday, they tell you how to get the key for the property and give you the best directions to get there too. All cottages are lovely and in lovely areas with plenty to do.

We booked a tiny cornish cottage with a beautiful nature friendly garden. Thankyou we had confidence in booking with Classic Cottages.
