Avoid this company if you are looking for a toy that lasts any longer than a cheap pet toy
This toy lasted less than half an hour, My cavapoo is not what you would call an aggressive chewer, or rough with her toys, but this is ridiculous for a company advertising a toy as "virtually indestructible"
clearly just a scam

Hi Barry,
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re really sorry to hear that the toy didn’t meet your expectations. We understand your frustration, especially when you were hoping for something that would stand up to your dog’s playstyle.
We want to clarify that while our toys are designed to be more durable than the average pet toy, no toy can truly be “indestructible,” and their lifespan can depend on a variety of factors, including the individual dog’s playstyle. It seems that this particular toy may not have been the best match for your cavapoo, and we truly regret that.
As a company, we are always working to improve our products and would greatly appreciate any photos or further feedback you can provide to help us develop even better options in the future.
If you’d like to discuss this further, feel free to reach out to us at customerservice@cheeky-dogs.com. We're committed to providing the best products possible and truly value your input.
Best regards,

Hi Stefanie,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear that the toy didn’t last as long as you hoped. We completely understand your frustration.
While we aim for our toys to be much more durable than typical pet toys, we want to clarify that they are not "indestructible." They are designed to withstand tough play, but different dogs have different playstyles, and some dogs may still be able to damage the toys faster than others.
We would really appreciate any photos or further details you could share with us, as it helps us continue to improve our products and offer better options for future customers.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at customerservice@cheeky-dogs.com. We want to ensure that our customers are satisfied with their purchases.
Best regards,
The Cheeky Team
Can I give this 0 stars? Avoid avoid avoid.
The toys did last longer than usual- 2 days for the koala, 1 day for the elephant, and 40 minutes for the whale, but definitely nowhere near what they claim. I asked for a warranty policy and they gave me the 10% off code they gave every Kickstarter backer.
They're running a campaign on indiegogo now.
This is very clearly a scam and they have absolutely no interest in having a good product. Don't waste your money.

Hi Sandy,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We're really sorry to hear that the toys didn’t meet your expectations, and we understand your frustration.
We’re actually quite surprised by your review, as in our email exchange, you mentioned that you were interested in ordering again, which is why we provided you with the 10% discount code we gave to our backers. This doesn't quite align with your public feedback, and we find it a bit disheartening to see a negative review after our private exchange.
While we do strive for durability, it's important to clarify that our toys are designed to be tough, but they are not "indestructible." Each dog has a different playstyle, and some can be tougher on toys than others. We’ve been continuously working to improve the designs and materials, and feedback like yours is crucial for that development.
We truly appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to improve our products and grow as a company. If you ever decide to give us another try, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d love to continue working to meet your needs.
Best regards,
The Cheeky Team
A Super-durable Favorite
My four-year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix absolutely loves his Cheeky toys. He has all three (Elephant, Koala, and Whale). The materials are as durable as the manufacturer claims. The only weak point seems to be the stitching around Koala's neck. After a week, it began to separate, but I stitched it back up with a needle and thread, without any issues. Subsequent production runs could benefit from some reinforcement along this seam, as the two large components make it easier to apply more stress to this one.
This does not detract from our enjoyment of any of the toys, however. My dog's playmate, a 12-year old American Bull mix, who regularly destroys his toys in minutes when she visits, spent 20-30 minutes with Elephant without making a dent. I no longer have to hide his toys when she comes over.
I must add that ALL of the squeakers are still functioning, and they have been playing with them for about a month and a half (arrived end of March 2025). Once again, we love these toys and would recommend them to anyone looking for a durable, long-lasting favorite for their furry friends. We look forward to seeing what comes next.

Hi Gregory,
Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that your Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix is loving his Cheeky toys, and it's fantastic to see that they’ve held up so well. 🎉
We also really appreciate your feedback about the stitching around Koala’s neck. You’re absolutely right that reinforcing this seam could help with long-term durability, and we’re constantly working on improving our designs, so we’ll definitely take your suggestion on board for future production runs.
It’s amazing to hear that even the 12-year-old American Bull mix is enjoying the Elephant, and we’re delighted that the squeakers are still going strong! Knowing that our toys are standing up to some serious playtime really makes all the effort worth it. 🧡
Thanks again for recommending us, and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming next! We’re grateful to have you as part of the Cheeky family.

Merci cheeky

Toy is good, but varying quality

Poor quality considering the marketing
The way the toys are marketed I thought they would be brilliant for my mini dachshund who destroys every toy quickly. The elephant lasted half an hour before he got in to the eye part and took the fluff out. I emailed customer services and they thanked me for their feedback but offered no replacement or refund for the £13 toy.
Further on response from Cheeky:
I totally understand it could be down to my dogs playstyle if it didn't last for week or even a few days, but within half an hour is ridiculous to even suggest that it's down to the dog and not down to very poor construction of a £13 toy.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the toy didn’t last as long as expected. We are committed to creating more durable toys, but each dog has its own play style, and some dogs can be particularly tough on toys. That’s why we aim to provide options suited for different types of play.

Great but not perfect
Honestly I wasn't expecting a miracle, given that I have a bully breed. The toy is great, somehow it gets less slobbery than the regular stuffed ones, which is honestly great. My dog did manage to chew through one ear in the first 30 minutes though, to the expense of her bleeding gums... But she would chew through a rock if I'd let her

Disappointed. Not As Durable As Promised
We were hopeful when we bought the Cheeky plush toy, especially since it was advertised as "indestructible." Unfortunately, it didn't live up to that promise. First impressions weren't great. The toy came in just a plain plastic bag, which felt cheap and very "made-in-China." No branding, no real packaging, just tossed in like an afterthought.
Our Golden Retriever loved the toy, but within less than two weeks, it was in pieces. For something marketed as heavy-duty or tough, that’s really disappointing. It might be fine for smaller or less enthusiastic chewers, but if your dog actually plays rough, this probably won’t last.
Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for something truly durable. Back to the drawing board for us.

Hi Ian,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we’re genuinely sorry to hear that the toy didn’t meet your expectations.
We understand your disappointment, especially since we aim to offer durable products for all types of play. However, we want to clarify that while our toys are built to be more resilient than standard plush toys, they are not "indestructible." We’ve never marketed them as such, but as being durable for tough chewers. Every dog has its own play style, and it seems like this particular toy didn’t hold up well with your Golden Retriever's play style.
We’re continuously working to improve our products and your feedback is really valuable to us as we move forward. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly at customerservice@cheeky-dogs.com.

I was kept informed throughout the whole process and never felt left out. I felt like I was an investor in the toys that my dogs are already playing with. We received them yesterday and I couldn't believe how soft they are. Usually "indestructible" toys are hard and most dogs won't play with them. That is not the case with these.
