Carpet Trader Arvostelua

Poor customer service and poor organisation

I ordered carpets from Carpet Trader after having the whole house measured and planned. I paid in full and arranged for the carpets to be fitted around my moving date.

When the fitters arrived a few weeks later, I was shocked to discover that they had not ordered enough carpet. As a result, one bedroom was left without carpet, with all the furniture from that room piled into another room. This meant I couldn’t properly use the bedroom.

What made the situation worse was that nobody from the office contacted me to let me know there had been a problem. I only found out when the fitters arrived, and I had to contact the company myself. I was told that an error had been made and that the missing carpet would be ordered and fitted within two days. In reality, I had to wait a week.

Because the bedroom couldn’t be used, I also had to pay separately to have furniture assembled that could not be put back into the room until the carpet was finally fitted.

I complained to Carpet Trader, but unfortunately they offered no compensation and did not do anything to put things right.

Mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication, the delay, the inconvenience caused and the poor response to my complaint were extremely disappointing. Customer care should be much better, especially when a customer has paid for the whole job upfront.

Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend based on the service I received.

Darren and Blake did an excellent job fitting my carpet. They were professional, friendly, and worked efficiently while paying great attention to detail. The carpet i fill has been fitted perfectly,.and left everything clean and tidy when they finished. Thanks guy and thanks Carpet trader, just the laminate flooring to go...

The young lad that fitted my Karndean flooring in both my bathroom and shower room was brilliant, but the after sales service is rubbish. When the tiles started to lift their after sales service is rubbish. First they gave a date that had already past, So I contacted them to get a new date, then the new date they did not turn up. They said they had rang to let me know they would not turn up. But I did not receive a call. Now they are supposed to come next week . We will see. Not happy.

Carpet Trader laid my Amtico floor on the 20th of May 2026. I had been dealing with this company for several months and had to delay for various reasons. I had found them to be incredibly helpful, very kind, and extremely professional. I had sung their praises to several friends who were looking to put in similar floors. They recommended someone to come in and move all the appliances before they arrived and James was also amazing. So I thought nothing could go wrong. The floor was laid, and everything was back in place and I noticed that the intricate wood panel to the right of the cooker was missing. I phoned Carpet Trader as I was positive that someone would’ve swept it up by mistake when they were clearing up and it would just be a matter of me popping in and collecting it. I was shocked when Philip answered the phone and from the moment I mentioned it it was deny deny deny before I could even explain it fully. And this went on and although it was there when they started the job and it has now disappeared, he stressed that it was nothing to do with them. I am so disappointed that our relationship has ended this way. I wasn’t looking for any compensation, but a simple explanation. Things happen in jobs and I understand that but to deny it and refuse to offer any help was absolutely horrible and as a result of that I would be very hesitant to use this company again or to recommend them.

Carpet Trader have provided me with excellent service. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended and I will definitely be using them again! The pricing was also really great value. Jim and Jim Flooring

I was made welcome at the store and provided with detailed information by Tom of the styles/features to make my choice. There was no rush or pressure. Once chosen, i was kept updated by Philip and contacted within 2 weeks that the carpets were ready. I asked for the team to fit them over 2 days to enable us to move furniture around. This was easily accommodated and the teams on both days were punctual, professional, and the fit/finish is pristine. Highly recommend.

Great service. Very helpful staff and carpet fitters did a fantastic job! Definitely recommend.

This is the 2nd time we've used Carpet Trader Bicester. The whole experience is customer centric, non-pushy, professional and supportive. From the initial visit to measure up, through to the final quality checks and checking everything is as it is meant to be - their service is exceptional.

Have used on several occasions over last 2 years for both Carpet and Karndean flooring. Excellent and reliable service on each occasion from Derek, Tom and the fitters.

Great team, everything on time with a great job and good price .will definitely use carpet trader again

Have used Bicester carpet traders twice now, 1st time they matched the existing carpet really well and the 2nd time put a carpet back after sharps had been. Both times I have found them very professional and the fitters are excellent at what they do. Would definitely recommend them 👍

I have been in and out of Marks shop for

One of your drivers in a silver Ford Fiesta very nearly caused an accident on Wendelbury interchange around 1:50 pm on the 9th of April by cutting in. I am writing this review in case you don't want your brand to be represented in this way.

We have used Carpet Trader in Bicester several times now, we have had Karndean flooring in our conservatory and kitchen and have just had a new carpet in our lounge/diner. They are very helpful with advice and have always done a great job with the fitting and tidy up when finishing. I would highly recommend them.

Great service from the moment we walked into the showroom where we were welcomed by Ali who was very knowledgeable and gave us some great advice on choosing our carpets. Derek came to measure and also gave us excellent customer service with no pressure on sales. After receiving our quote which was emailed over to us we were given an installation date of 2 weeks later and a 2 day installation time. The fitter’s arrived on time and were very friendly and respectful of our property, after finishing the carpet fitting they even hoovered up and left everything tidy. I will definitely use Carpet Trader again and highly recommend. Also the price was good.

Amazing work. Derek and Tom was absolutely amazing. Tom was happy to answer all our questions and helped us choose the right type of carpet for our new house. It looks amazing. The carpet was fitted for 3 bedrooms and stairs within 3/4 hours. Highly recommended.

Absolutely first class job. Steve and Chris fitted our kitchen and utility over a day and a half. I couldn’t praise them highly enough. Hugely helpful and a pleasure to have them both in our home. I strongly recommend Carpet Trader Ltd. and will be re booking for carpets

I called carpet trader for help to fit a carpet quickly and good price and they fitted same day great price and brilliant service leaving my sons room with a perfect finish. Very happy customer 💯 recommend

Used this local company to fit vinyl flooring and new carpets into our house in Bicester. They were very efficient in organising a viewing and quote, and gave great advice on selection of types of flooring and carpets. The fitting was done efficiently, with a minimum of fuss and in the time line we had in mind. The vinyl flooring and carpets look good. Overall a very professional service. I can highly recommend them.
