I was very pleased by my experience with this rental. My deposit was returned 2-3 days after I've returned the car.

The agency is great! I’ve booked several times with them and everything went perfect! The cars are new, and the staff is really helpful!

The experience with Carent was quite pleasent.The staff was very friendly and helpful they answered every question that i had.All of the cars that i saw on the parking lot were new.The car that i have received was new,clean without any damages.

I ordered a car with automatic gears and luggage space. I got a new estate car with automatic gears. The car was great. I was served very well, the guy spoke English and handing over the car was easy. After I returned the car within 3 days the deposit was returned to me.

Great service, new and fresh cars. Very clean.

I had an almost brand new car. The vehicle was very economic and clean. There was no issue and the staff was very helpful. Will use again;)

On September 16th I collected a car booked via Autoeurope: a car registered in June 2017 with almost 140,000 km, in fuel reserve, with the "engine failure" warning light always on, without the required jackets and medical equipment, the rear tires different from each other and full of bodywork defects (it would have taken half an hour to report them all but the employee was, obviously, very hasty).
A week later the brakes started making disturbing noises. Following the Carrent indication, I took the car to a workshop indicated to me in Veliko Tarnovo: completely worn front linings replaced, a clear sign of your lack of preventive control of the car and of poor maintenance of the vehicle. I wasted an half day in the workshop, instead of being able to visit the city.
In the same evening I arrived in Sofia and, with the my intention of making easier for the Carrent to return the car, I agreed to go in its HQ (distant a couple km by the airport). Here one of your employees of the Carrent, who arrived late for the agreed appointment with a van, without even saying hello, inspected the car. I immediately understood the intention: to speciously find some "damage" to charge me. In the end he complained to me, very aggressively, about a scratch on the lower part of the front bumper which was pre-existing and marked on the delivery report. Faced with my refusal to recognize the damage as mine (and therefore pay for it), he stood with his arms crossed and refused to take us to the airport. At 9pm we had to go there on foot and, when he passed us to return with the van to the airport, he honked in mockery. Luckily the flight was delayed otherwise we would have missed it.
All this speaks for itself.

Be careful, scam!
When the vehicle returned - without any damage during the rental - they found a tiny invisible dent -
existing, of course! and charge you huge repair costs - under threat of cashing the deposit. Yes, low rental price - in fact it costs you 3 times more. To flee !

The car was nice and economic. I am happy with the service provided. My deposit was returned shortly after the rental.

Another bad review for this company,
If you still have the chance do not rent from them!!

Old cars, kids toys left in it, seemed like a personal old beat up car rented by the owner for a couple of weeks.
Brakes were soft, unreliable. A/C blew hot air mostly.
200,000km on odometer.
Sticky residue on door seals got on clothes.
Scratches on every panel.
Broken seatbelt in rear.
Had to pay for airport parking on pick up...

Poor company
When return a car
Was a small scratches on the bumper
I was charge for that,with promise to receive documents and make a claim to insurance company
After two weeks of waiting,sending few emails
Still don’t have answer or explanation about the documents

Alquilé el coche a principios de enero. Nos lo íbamos a quedar unos días demás, pagué la diferencia al dejar el coche, pero ellos POR ERROR se quedaron con el mismo importe del depósito que habíamos dejado. Pues al día de hoy 27.02.2020 no me quieren hacer la transferencia de la devolución. Cuando les envíe el número de cuenta, me dijeron que pueden hacer la devolución solamente en una cuenta búlgara.
Vamos, que para cobrar no tienen problema, solamente para las devoluciones.
Así que amigos, si decidís alquilar coche de ellos, aseguraros de abriros una cuenta bancaria en Buldaria, por si acaso.

I rent a car from this company in Jan 2020 . I got Nissan Micra green one. I was crossing the border and I pay to them 70e for that.
After my vacation I was on the road to Bg and I got accident for what they ask me to pay 500e on the spot.
Of course I took full insurance for that car from agent what I used to pay araund 10e daily. They should cover all demands if you have.( full insurance). After discussing with insurance company about money they told me that company took extra 200e and they gonna give me only 300e back. When they ask rental company why they took that amount of money they claim it like "this is because of crossing the border ". Just to remind you in the beginning they told me 500e they are taking from everyone.
They cheated me first of all, they are not answering there phone to give me support. I am outside of county and I am doing international calls where is can't get there manager to talk just person who doesn't know anything about this case.
I would like to add that I read feedback from other people in other site and I didn't believe them, till the moment I got prove by myself.
So, be careful what are you doing with this company

Extremely good treatment - I had absolutely no trouble with them. I hired a 4x4 car for a road trip adventure for 10 days. They were always available when I called them. They DID NOT try to find some old scratch to charge me for or some other old evil trick from the car hiring book. They were really straight with me and I received a 100% refund of my deposit.

The car was very clean. I had some issues with it initially (like a missing fire extinguisher and a slightly loose number plate) which they fixed immediately.

I returned the car a bit late in the evening when no car wash was open. I did clean the car in the morning but I picked up and splashed a lot of bugs on the 500km way back. I apologised but they told me I was not even expected to wash it in the first place as it was included in their service. : )

Overall I had an excellent experience and I would definitely use their services again.

Wrong car, charged more

In both Sofia and Varna I had booked an Estate vehicle and in none of these booking I had received an Estate, although being charged for an Estate vehicle.

In Sofia I was offered a Hatch back at first and after some time of discussions between the staff it had been agreed that I could get a sedan vehicle.

The Estate vehicle was more expensive than the sedan vehicle and I was therefore charged more than needed without any benefit, which I find ridiculous and absurd.

In Varna the same happened, had booked an Estate vehicle and was then offered a sedan vehicle after letting the agency know that the sedan was not fitting for our luggage and I was assured by them that our luggage would fit the day before. Again I was charged more than what I had received. After calling the helpline I was told to take the car or find an other rental agency, which is really poor customer service.

We booked a Citroen Berlingo but got a Dacia Logan (another type of car) which was 5 years old and had done 102.000km's.

The engine turned out to be rattling and making loud strange noise, Carent told us not to worry. Later the aircon only worked partially, we were 600km from their office and they offered us another car if we brought it to their office. The car had two very worn rear tyres.

All in all a car rental company which is not recommended
