I purchased a pair of Isadora pumps from the new collection at the Marais store in Paris for €415. Last week, I wore them for the very first time to the opening of an exhibition, and after only a few hours, the soles were torn and the patent leather had completely lost its shape.
For shoes at this price point, this level of quality is absolutely unacceptable.
What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of proper customer support. After contacting customer service, I was simply told to deal directly with the physical store because they do not handle in-store purchases. I have contacted the store by email 5 days ago with photos and the receipt, and I received no answer.
I am now left with a damaged pair of shoes that cost €415 and no real solution offered so far. I hope the store takes responsibility and provides an appropriate refund or compensation.

I ordered a pocketbook from Carel Paris…
I ordered a pocketbook from Carel Paris to match a pair of shoes I purchased in the United States through one of the brand’s U.S. retail partners.
The bag arrived with the strap twisted and incorrectly attached, and the way it was wrapped caused the leather on the strap to buckle, leaving it damaged upon arrival. I requested a replacement for the strap only rather than the entire bag, but I was told that I would need to return the full item. Unfortunately, I had a charitable event that same night and needed to use the bag with the matching shoes, so I am now unable to return it.
It also did not come with a dust bag. At their prices and the fact that I owned two pieces, replacing the strap would have been the right thing to do. The care and quality of the bag is not indicative of a high end designer purse.

The pocketbook came with the damaged strap due to the careless packaging. It was literally stuffed into the box without care or protection. Given I had no choice you could have had a new strap sent to me. And I would have happily returned the damage one. I saw I purchased it to match the shoes that you sell. There was no way that I could return it the day before the event! A little more understanding given how it was package should have been displayed. A bag at this price should be packed with a dust bag and the strap packaged separately rolled and protected.

We are truly sorry to hear that this situation has negatively impacted your experience with our brand.
As we previously indicated in our email correspondence, we were willing to provide a full exchange of your handbag to ensure you received a flawless item. However, it was logistically impossible for us to ship a shoulder strap on its own.
We had also specified that for this exchange to be possible, the item had to be returned in new condition, having never been worn. Since the bag was ultimately used at your charity event, we are unfortunately no longer able to accept it back.
We regret if this does not meet your expectations.

trato hacia alguien que les contacta online no es adaptado ni exquisito y no tiene que ver con el dinero aplicado en la devolución, creo que no debieron entender mi malestar hacia otros asuntos que les mencioné. Nada que ver con el trato en una tienda física como la Madeleine o Raymond Poincaré.

Very disappointing quality and poor customer service
I’m extremely disappointed with the Carel Oceano Slingback in denim with black leather lining. After wearing them for just one day at the office, my feet were stained black and looked dirty, and my nail polish was completely ruined—I had to remove it.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I own around seven pairs of Carel shoes, including black leather styles, and I’ve never experienced anything like this before. This issue seems specific to this model or its lining.
I contacted customer service, expecting a reasonable solution, but they refused to exchange the shoes for the same model with a lighter lining. As a loyal customer, this response was very disappointing.
Unfortunately, I will not buy any more shoes from them.

The leather lining used has been carefully selected and meets all of our quality standards.
As with many natural leathers, a slight release of color may occur during the first wears, depending on factors such as humidity, friction, or the natural acidity of the skin.
While this can be inconvenient, it's a known and temporary characteristic of the material, and not a defect.
We understand your surprise, although this type of feedback remains very uncommon for this model. We also note that your recent experience with this pair may not reflect a broader familiarity with similar uses of this material, which can sometimes behave differently from one model to another.
Regarding your request for an exchange, our decision was made in accordance with our policies, which we apply consistently to all orders. We regret if this does not meet your expectations.
